it doesn't seem THAT expensive. they're quoting 7 bucks for a post boost. anyway, which area of the UK would be the best for a trial run?

CheekySmile · 01/11/2015 20:10

Mobius I had thought about that claim at all until you phrased it like that. It seems crazy now!

Last I'd guess a big city might be good? FL head office is in Warwickshire so maybe Birmingham?

I thought I saw aloe leaves on one of the bottles in the amazing big picture but that's all that stood out. They may argue that the aloe leaf is their intellectual property. They may argue that the idea of selling gel extracted from a particular plant is also theirs. There could be an argument around the similarity or aim of the name. I'm not worried. TV is satire - basically what betty says.

I wonder if MN field complaints from the MLMs about these threads?

lastuser I think that's incredibly kind. I can't contribute financially at the moment I'm really sorry. We are breaking even based on no extra spends. It will be good to see what effect a boost has!

lastuseraccount123 · 01/11/2015 20:26

no worries, no expectations on my part. Birmingham it is.

lazycoo · 01/11/2015 20:35

Wine lastuser

So which post are you going to boost? Grin

lastuseraccount123 · 01/11/2015 20:48

dunno. i'd like to be strategic. maybe one of the ones that got lots of views? dunno?

lazycoo · 01/11/2015 21:07

I love so many of them but - just as an idea - social selling tip #1 or the timeless video?

lastuseraccount123 · 01/11/2015 21:24

i like that

CheekySmile · 01/11/2015 21:28

The first social selling tip is a good idea. It should be a picture rather than the video as we want people to 'get it' straight away and click through to the page. Maybe repin the video to the top of the page for the duration of the boost so people can choose to watch it when they arrive?

Boosting a new post or a very recent post on FB in my limited experience tends to be the most successful. Have a look in the 'insights' bit of the FB page to see what day and time of posts have tended to be the most success and copy that.

lastuseraccount123 · 02/11/2015 00:02

thx for tip bunched

My aloe bot keeps doing "buy stuff all this month because I'll be giving x% of my profits to this charity".

CheekySmile · 02/11/2015 12:02

Circle your bot seems to be in violation of FL's rules there. In their Ad Pack there's a section regarding their fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Please do not advertise sales promotions that include Macmillan Cancer Support’s logo. For example, you must not claim that 10% of your sales from a Product Launch will be donated to Macmillan. You can tell your Customers that you will be making a donation but it cannot be advertised as a percentage of sales.

Not another bot flouting the rules, surely Hmm

OP posts:
circlelake · 02/11/2015 12:17

Oo.interesting. it just felt a bit wrong.
I can't remember what charity it was...I'm sure she had a percentage though. I'll go and check.

circlelake · 02/11/2015 12:34

It looks like that post with the percentage disappeared. Maybe her upline spotted the mistake.

The remaining pics just say all comission will now be donated.

Tbh I tend to hide the events when they come up. Otherwise I might accidentally comment after too much Wine

She's nice in RL so I just never talk about it. Grin

sparkleyes · 02/11/2015 16:03

Do the lowly bots really not understand the difference between sales and income or is it a deliberate thing so we are all super jealous!

CheekySmile · 02/11/2015 20:59

They can't actually admit their income sparkleyes or nobody would sign up to their team as they earn so little if anything at all!

Writing the TV status updates with the spelling errors makes my head hurt...today's pic has been pinched directly from my bot!

I work with an Arbonne bot. She is an "area manager" -promoted within a year. What the heck does that mean? Is it to do with how many ppl you recruit or sales?

Desperate to know the scoop but do not want to enter into a conversation with her as I know I will not escape unscathed.

Why is she still working if her "home business" is such a hit? I hear about it everyday. She is lovely but it is honestly making me view her in a different light as I just want to do my job and not have to hear about this all the time.

Any info on them will save me from asking her questions that I am dying to know answers to but would not ask if my life depended on it...!

lazycoo · 03/11/2015 12:37

The Arbots nearly got me handbag, back in 2012. They are frightening. They wanted me to buy my own business, so, similar to FL, but I was expected to buy over £1500 worth of product to hand out as samples (6 full kits), plus the usual 'replace everything you own with our stuff' crap which would cost an additional God-knows-what. The sales techniques were aggressive and manipulative, which included me being repeatedly lied to and laughed at. From what I can see, there are big similarities with FL and the other MLMs - they're all basically cut from the same cloth, except Arbonne is one of the highest 'suggested investments' out there. Complete with the conspiratorial 'head office don't want us behaving like this but this is how you make the most money' whispery 'advice'. Seriously unethical stuff. The high investment might explain the fixed manic grins of the typical Arbot...

xenu1 · 03/11/2015 13:35

HbH. Arbonne plan at: gorvp.com/docs/arb_levels.pdf

"AREA MANAGER
Two or three month qualification options
· $24,000 (Can $31,200) Retail Volume over two months or $30,000 (Can $40,000) Retail Volume over
three months."

So your bot must have bought $24k of Arbonne stuff in the last 3 months. From the pdf:

"Here is a Strategy:
Knowing our 1st goal is to get out of C (consultant status) to D (District) if I begin with (2) Perfect Storm $1500 orders (my own products and orders from others) and I sponsor 2 new consultants who each also host a Perfect Storm with $1500, I’ve completed 1st step D (at $2500) and in fact COMPLETED District Manager Qualification ($6000)!!
ME - 2 Perfect Storms @ $1500= $3000

  1. - $1500
  2. - $1500
$6000 = New DM! @ 8% commission In the most simple terms, if we help our 2 people do the same thing the following month, then we’ve done 1st step AM! "

In other words recruit new bots and/or purchase the products yourself? Perfect Storm (at $1500!) sounds like Arbonne's version of Clean9... tho 10x as expensive

Annie65 · 03/11/2015 14:06

The FL bots are in full force advertising "30 days of Christmas"., advertising one product a day. Thing is when you have 3 FL bots on your facebook you cant help but notice the adverts are exactly the same. Same wording, same pictures, same offers, but they are all business owners.Hmm

CheekySmile · 03/11/2015 14:09

Nice to see NH with the obligatory spelling mistake Mobius!
