TarkaDarling · 28/10/2015 18:44

its so weird, the pricey products don't even look luxury in any way

lastuseraccount123 · 28/10/2015 18:45

haven't checked in on the nethuns for a while. Pamela's doing her best, but here's some of the ways the FLbots are twisting things up to make MLMs look legit:

www.netmums.com/coffeehouse/working-childcare-692/working-yourself-self-employed-76/wfy-self-employed-chat-clubs-501/295832-forever-living-general-discussion-23.html

blame the victim:

*Pamela, I think this is a common misconception. Their money won't go to those above them. If they aren't selling anything...their is no money to pass to anyone. It's the company (in the case of FLP, though I can't speak for other MLM's) who pay their distributors thier bonuses, mand everyone who starts has exactly the same opportunities to progress and earn the income desired. You can earn more than the person who recruited you, and so can anyone who is recruited then onwards.
Some people will make excuses as to why it didn't work. Lack of support, people weren't interested, but ultimately, it's down the that individual, and no one else. *

lastuseraccount123 · 28/10/2015 18:48

pammy: Are you telling me that a FL agent gets no cut from the people they recruit? Why are agents obsessed with recruiting new people and "building a team"? That those running it make no profit from their seminars, training, selling the bumf to their agents?

FLbot: lie lie lie: Pamela, I sense a rather aggressive tone? I don't know why you are getting so heated, I, sorry you feel so against MLM's. Do you not work for a company who make money from its employees, and/or the public? A CEO at the top, managers next, ground floor workers next all working to make money which benefits those at the top, often those lower down doing the hardest work, and those higher up the chain reaping the rewards. Well in MLM any one of those people down the line can exceed the earnings of those above them, simply buy creating the most volume within their team.
An FLP business owner doesn't get a 'cut' no. They are paid a percentage from the totals volume of the person they recruit, dependant on their position on the marketing plan. This comes from the company, not from the person who recruited them. It's pays to help your team to achieve, of course, not just financially but it's massively rewarding to see people's lives eased financially. Perhaps become better informed before shooting others down.

wow, do these people have no idea how a real company works???

as for bots not getting a cut of the $$ their recruits bring in...she basically says they don't and they do in the same paragraph.

lastuseraccount123 · 28/10/2015 18:49

bot: Pamela, I'd just like to add that people joining MLMs often fail and quit very quickly because they expect to become "rich" quickly. They don't know that you must put in work and time. Those making lots of money have been in the business for years, some as little as 2 years!!
Working with an MLM gives you the opportunity to earn more than the person who recruited you unlike being employed where you will NEVER earn more than your boss and even if you're a boss, you'll have a maximum salary.

i guess these people have never heard of profit sharing, owning shares, bonuses etc

Annie65 · 28/10/2015 19:08

Last, its the bots that tell their victims its easy money, earn enough money to live the dream by only working 5 to 10 hours a week. They are the liars, getting people in by false pretences. Going have a nosy at the online party at 8, will report back later #superspy.Wink

Siwi · 28/10/2015 19:15

If anyone here is prepared to look on fb for me to check out my butcher opportunity, please pm me. It maybe fl, but it also may be an opportunity for me to earn £3000 plus pm, which would be v handy.

CheekySmile · 28/10/2015 20:14

Meant to link to this article earlier, which my bot is raving about.

I see where she's coming from, but I can't say I'm proud of any of my friends who are sharing their direct selling business on FB. It's not totally their fault they've been sucked into a product-based pyramid scheme, as the system works so well the right prospects believe they can earn loads of money. I just wish they'd done more research with an unbiased perspective. All it does to me is show them as uniformed and gullible.

Well the party has started, 5 mins in and Ive had enough already. One item has been shown with a discription, no price though. Lots of comments, all from other bots, saying how marvelous it is. One person has asked about the price, to be told to contact the bot who invited him. Never been a selling party where its so cloak and dagger about the price. Just feckin tell him the price idiot. Will go back now see if anything different is happening, or if its going to be like this for another hour. Confused

Siwi · 28/10/2015 20:20

Turns out that the butcher opportunity is almost certainly fl.

(Cancels ski-ing holiday)

Annie65 · 28/10/2015 21:24

The party has ended. No little quizzes like my SIL's party, at least she gave away small prizes, and no special offers either. It was advertising the products, and most of the people commenting and gushing over them were other bots. They did put the prices on towards the end though. Not many comments from the general public at all, and 26,000 had been invited.Grin

circlelake · 28/10/2015 21:37

My local bot has recruited another local mum. Now we have a launch party coming up. Yay.

The herbalife ones have gone very quiet...

mobiusgeek · 28/10/2015 22:00

Given that anyone can Create a forever living account to simply qualify for discounted products direct (without becomng a 'business owner'), there is no real 'retail' price to tell people from what I understand.

my guess is that the FBO's can sell at whatever price they want so it's not in their interest to put a blanket price for everyone to see.

Getting people to 'inbox' them for prices gives them the opportunity to sell at whatnever price (haggle if needs be) 'behind closed doors' and then mainly take the opportunity to instead convince them 1-on-1 to sign up to qualify for discounts instead.... Once they've got them interested in signing up they have a willing victim ripe for the picking to go in with the full 'opportunity' sales pitch and before they know what's hit them. Et voila.. Someone wanted a shampoo and went home a business owner.... Confused

mobiusgeek · 28/10/2015 22:02

annie .. I bet to get that amount of eyes on the event cost money for Facebook ads too. Easily £50-100+

lastuseraccount123 · 28/10/2015 22:24

FB keeps trying to get TV to buy ads Grin. unfortunately we're cheap

Tiredemma · 29/10/2015 08:48

EVERY FUCKING DAY on my FB I am now getting a 'suggested post' of some inane grimacing idiot trying to lure me into 'earning extra money for 10 hours work a week'
Last night there was one and everyone posted 'tell me more'- 'how can I find out more' blah blah blah and the grinning fool was copying and pasting the same response 'inbox me for more info on this great opportunity"

Fuck off. Please.

GoofyIsACow · 29/10/2015 08:54

I saw a lady i used to know and haven't seen for ages the other day.
Chatting away, lovely to see her i think. I say 'are you still at xxx?' where i knew her from...
Her 'no, i was due back (after Mat leave) next week but i have decided i just love being at home with the children, but you still need to bring in money don't you'
'So I started my own business... It's called Forever Living'

From that point it seemed like some kind of recruitment convo so i said 'anyway, see you soon' and wandered off.

It pissed me off.., bloody brainwashing!

Haha Tiredemma The last travel trip I took with friends ended in a massive row and I came back significantly poorer, I'm guessing much the same as lots of MLMbots!
My ACN bot posted this: 'Repetition is your Reputation'
Like we don't bloody know Angry

Annie65 · 29/10/2015 12:25

Mobius, never thought about paying for ads, more expense for the bots. Tired, just watched the footage, excuse me while I puk, I thought Jayne Leech was retiring??? I now have 3 FL bots on fb and the mother of another one, who invited me to her daughters online party a month ago. No other Mlm bots yet. Wink

CheekySmile · 29/10/2015 12:53

JL has just launched her new website, so it doesn't seem like retirement is on the cards soon.
