I had to have my documents to them by 1st June for a child care check. I've received the documents back today with a letter stating they're looking into it and will get back to me. Conveniently for them, they haven't dated the letter. I suppose they realise it doesn't look too good that it took them 6 weeks to scan the documents.

zolabud81 · 11/07/2015 17:10

I had my documents signed for on 28th may. I received them back on 29th June. I rang on Thursday 9th July. He apologised and said it hadn't been looked at and he would get a manager to review it.
I rang back today. He said it had been given the ok and a letter was issued on the 9th.
I then queried why I had already received my final tax credits decision before the letter arrived from Concentrix. He went away and checked. He then said they had no record of me completing my annual declaration despite me doing it direct the HMRC.

I done it with him over the phone and he was really polite and helpful. He struggled understanding my maternity deductions but fine them as I asked.
My advice would be to call them. Yes it's an hour wait but it's better than the weeks of uncertainty.

Good luck to everyone getting the outcome they deserve x

I phoned up HMRC yesterday to see if the award letter has been sent out to me yet. I did get a little nervous though when the first thing he said after I had to repeat all the security questions to him was ask me if I wanted to renew my claim. I had to explain to him that I tried to renew in April then I received the letter from Concentrix and since then I had made numerous phone calls. After that he checked the system and said that a letter had been sent to me on the 3rd July and can tak 2 weeks to arrive. I really do not know what to expect.

stresshead99 · 11/07/2015 19:36

I haven't had my renewal back from HMRC either but they did text me after I renewed at the start of May so they do know I renewed. My dates were May 22nd partner letter, sent documents 1st class May 22nd, not all, just what I could find. Got docs back June 22nd, (dated June 6th). Then nothing until no changes letter today. Life has been hell for 7/8 weeks. I am not going to waste money ringing HMRC, I'm just going to wait and see what they send. My payment is due Tuesday, but not on today. I guess it'll be Monday or Tuesday. Morgan, everyone except you seems to have had a favourable outcome. You poor soul. All the money it is costing the Government, just to say no further action. They could have paid you a hundred times over. 12 billion pounds of cuts and there wasting millions on this. The poor staff must go home tearing their hair out in frustration. What a stressful job! They must get grief all day for just doing their job. Work isn't so easy to come by in Ireland so I guess they're happy to be employed but we have all rang up distressed, stressed and angry and we're just a drop in the ocean.

Morgan97 · 11/07/2015 20:01

I know stresshead but its good to read about the good news for others, god knows how long it will take to get sorted but it will get sorted one way or another cos I'm getting sick of this now I can't live on fresh air for much longer

Hi everyone. I have read with interest all your posts since I had s letter about self employment from concentric at the beginning of June. I have rung twice but no news, docs not on system. Now I have lost my original letter! Can anyone tell me if they will still look for me without my reference number? Hate all this! Thanks.x

Morgan97 · 11/07/2015 21:55

I've not dealt with concentrix only hrmc but I think if you give them your national insurance number they should be able to look n see if your docs are on the system for gods sake don't tell em you've lost your letter you'll only confuse them good luck

Hi did everyone send their renewal form to concentrix? Because I send my one to hmrc last month and they confirmed they recieved it and than i send my documents to concentrix they requested on my childcare. Just a bit confused, not sure do I need to call now concentrix and renew with them even though I send my renewal form to hmrc.

stresshead99 · 12/07/2015 09:44

Deni, they can trace you on you NI number, just say you're currently using some one else's phone and don't have your letter to hand. Your NI number should be unique to you so they can use it to trace your case. Good luck x

MinnieMouse1976 · 12/07/2015 11:35

Hi first time posting on here. I have followed this thread from the beginning (mine is the childcare check). Has anyone managed to get through to Concentrix recently? I wondered what date they are up to with scanning. My docs were signed for on 18th June but I think I am still in for a long wait yet...

mumdad5 · 12/07/2015 12:28

minniemouse1976 i rang concentrix on friday my docs are still not scanned on and they were signed for on the 11th and 12th june told it could even be another week - he was very vague hope this helps x

girliefriend · 12/07/2015 12:39

Hi everyone just checking in, was hoping you might have had some news Morgan? Seems insane that they still haven't sorted you out yet Sad

I still have heard nothing which must be well over a month since they sent my documents back but have still been getting my payments so hoping thats a good sign?

utdfan · 12/07/2015 12:41

I was told they were up to the 12th yesterday.

stresshead99 · 12/07/2015 15:39

girlie, I suspect it may be a good sign. Mine was the same, I heard nothing but kept getting paid. My docs were returned June 22nd but dated June 6th, then not a word until my no change letter yesterday. I still haven't heard from HMRC other than a text in May to say they were processing my renewal, (pre concentrix letter) so HMRC must have it. My no changes letter was dated July 6th so it took a few days to get to me. I'll just sit tight and wait to hear from HMRC, you can't believe it's over until the fat lady sings and all that. Other people have said HMRC take a while after concentrix I think.

MamaK15 · 12/07/2015 19:29

I'd be wary if you have renewed direct with hmrc and not Concentrix. Double check !

jgrn7030 · 12/07/2015 19:44

Well an update for you all. As some of you will remember I have now been investigated 4 times for one credit file entry dated 2009. I proceeded with tribunal and HMRC have written to the courts and told them they have reconsidered their decision in my favour. However.......Not all the money has been returned to me. There is a large chunk of it missing and the weekly payment has gone down by £30.00 pw. I have also not received updated award notices for "the reinstating of my single claim" and neither have I received a new renewal notice. They are also not very forthcoming with my representatives.
In fact the more I think about it the more annoyed I am. I wasn't going to make a fuss as I was grateful for the money to clear the overdraft I had run up trying to survive and the electric and gas bill that was overdue.
I am seriously considering writing back to the courts within the 30 day limit and telling them that I am not happy with HMRC's outcome and not to close the file. I started moving out of my home days before they changed their minds as I couldn't afford to live by myself. I haven't completely moved back and indeed now the children have broken up from school, I will be spending the majority of my time at my Dads over the next 7 weeks. I don't want to live here anymore. It has been a safe place to be, somewhere my ex husband could not find me but, it's tarnished now. It isn't home.

stresshead99 · 12/07/2015 20:31

Why so Mama? When I rang HMRC they said I could only deal with Concentrix. When I renewed over the phone way back at the start of May, I got a text saying we have received your application blah, blah...... It was May 22nd when I got the Concentrix letter. Who should I check with HMRC or Concentrix. You've got me back to worrying Mama.
