oh and you said

the stuff about the top presenters and 0.02% achieving that level is honesty ... isn't that what we wish the FLbots would be?!?

yup we do and totally fair BUT this piece of info was in very teeny tiny print at the bottom of the page under all the ra ra ra big earners list for Younique. I'm just sayin'. Maybe they could make it in bigger font, like maybe 20 pt Arial or something. Cos I know not everyone is as detail oriented as me Grin

lastuseraccount123 · 09/07/2015 21:13

oh and i did some digging on the younique foundation for the abused or whatever. so, i found a corporate filing so it looks like it's been around for 7 months and was set up by some BTJD corporate services (looks like a UT law firm).

www.bizapedia.com/ut/YOUNIQUE-FOUNDATION-THE.html

www.bizapedia.com/ut/BTJD-CORPORATE-SERVICES-LLC.html

it's a law firm:

btjd.com/contact/

can't find any information about the retreat itself and it's not clear what kind of services would be involved in helping these women with their issues.

trinitybleu · 09/07/2015 21:23

Am on my phone so will have to answer across a few messages, but PRS is on gross, so it's fair across the board. So when I sell a mascara for £23 / $29 / AUS$38 (because you can sell in any market), I earn 29 PRS points.

trinitybleu · 09/07/2015 21:23

If I go inactive, my team move up to report to my Sponsor.

If I reactivate, they are mine again Smile

trinitybleu · 09/07/2015 21:26

Re 0.02% ... they could, but then that's just marketing. Like the small print on TV ads and the fine print on any advert.

I work in HR - you'd be amazed how many people sign their employment contract without reading it. Easily 80%. And that's in size 12 Tahoma Grin

trinitybleu · 09/07/2015 21:31

Retreat is very new and US only so don't know much, to be fair. I don't think it's actually run yet - they were buying premesis and setting up, last I heard. I know it is residential retreats.

They've said they'll open more in other locations over time.

In the meantime, part of the pay plan means you get paid within 3 hours of a sale. Idea being if you are suffering financially, you can sell some bits and have cash for essentials the same day (whereas Avon, for example, pay 3 weeks later, I believe) ... I think that's a bit tenuous given you need the kit cost at the beginning, but that's the blurb. Wink

lastuseraccount123 · 09/07/2015 21:37

ha, fair call.

More questions as I'm nosey Grin you said PRS is calculated on gross and you get 29 points for $29USD gross sales. How does the points thing work? Do you get paid out $29 USD for each $29USD macara you sell?

re: reactivating. and i'm assuming if you're unable to make your minimum sales thingy you go back to inactive again?

trinitybleu · 09/07/2015 21:58

When they are looking at whether you are staying active, it's $125 worth in any 3 month rolling period i.e. 125 PRS. So that's 4.3 mascaras in 3 months, no matter where you're based or where you sell.

trinitybleu · 09/07/2015 22:00

You can drop in and out of active as many times as you like. If you were to be inactive for a long time, they may close your account, but not without contacting you first. You don't want loads of dormant websites using up your server space.

trinitybleu · 09/07/2015 22:01

I may have missed the point of your PRS question, actually. Yes, I get 29 PRS for each £23 mascara I sell.

Is that better?

lastuseraccount123 · 09/07/2015 22:14

got it. so you get 29 PRS for each 23 pound mascara you sell, and 29 PRS = 29 USD. Is that correct? So you get 29 USD on your card 3 hours after you sell a 23 pound mascara?

trinitybleu · 09/07/2015 22:18

No, I don't hold stock. So they buy the mascara from Younique, and you get 20 to 30% as commission within 3 hours.

trinitybleu · 09/07/2015 22:24

Younique deal with the production, warehousing, distribution etc.

After a mascara sale I get 29 PRS points and 20 - 30% in £ as commission (rate varies depending on your level).

And if it's a party sale (someone hosted a party on FB, by inviting their interested friends to an event page) and sold the minimum amount, they get Y-cash (credit for products) and half price vouchers.

If it was me making a sale without a party i.e. to work colleagues, I get those perks too.

throwingpebbles · 09/07/2015 22:28

£23 for that mascara!! It doesn't even look good on the publicity shots!Shock

lastuseraccount123 · 09/07/2015 22:29

so that's 20 - 30% of 23 pounds, right? or is it 20% -30% of 29 PRS points?

I guess what I'm trying to understand is what the 29 PRS points actually mean in real money, cos further up the thread you said 1 PRS point = 1 US dollar. So then what do they mean? Do you ever actually get your PRS points paid out to you in real cash? I just don't understand, sorry :(

Y-cash sounds like what S&D does with party hostesses, but I guess my question is - is that 23 pound mascara actually worth 23 pounds. I wonder what the actual cost is to manufacture it - what the true wholesale price is. Do they let you know?

trinitybleu · 09/07/2015 22:51

Sorry, I mean that's how you easily know what the PRS value of any item is. Look up the US$ price and that's also the PRS amount. The PRS is used to calculate your commission level ... it levels out the international pricing differences that occur due to import taxes etc.

I don't know the manufacturing cost, no.

And £23 for mascara ... I was getting through a tube of No 7 a month so £23 for 3 months worth is a bargain to me!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 10/07/2015 08:23

It's bonus notification day today. EVERYONE has Moët rose chilling in the fridge. They're all having their money delivers by Securicor .....

DreamingOfTheBeach · 10/07/2015 08:28

So if you sell a mascara for £23 which equal $29 you actually get paid £6.90 in commission (if com is 30%)

backwardpossom · 10/07/2015 10:52

My FLBot was staying up until midnight to hear the news about the bonus cheque. No motivational post yet to say how well she's done and how we could join her team and get in on it too... Obviously wasn't as great as she expected...

Tiredemma · 10/07/2015 11:23

Just a query- does anyone know if these 'business women' have to register for Tax? 2nd Job and all that??

lazycoo · 10/07/2015 11:38

tiredemma all income should be declared to HMRC but I don't think their uplines make that clear #bossbabe #conned #stopthehashtags

Tiredemma · 10/07/2015 11:45

Thats what I thought.

#swizzers

Eyespying · 10/07/2015 11:56

lazycoo - Due to the fact that virtually no one has ever declared an overall net-income out of the operation of a so-called 'MLM business', the US Internal Revenue Service has long-since adopted an appropriate policy towards would-be 'MLM' millionaires; particularly, when they attempt to deduct their inevitable 'MLM' -related expenses and losses from their other taxable income.

www.forbes.com/sites/peterjreilly/2014/04/28/tax-court-denies-amway-losses-again/

The leading expert in this aspect of 'MLM' racketeering, is US accountant, Peter J. Reilly.

lazycoo · 10/07/2015 13:11

Lol eyespy - it's quite an insult when even the revenue doesn't take your business seriously enough to collect taxes! In spite of the practice adopted in the US it remains law that all income should be declared and is taxable, although I would imagine for most people there would be precious little to tax after expenses #thistimenextyearRodney...

lazycoo · 10/07/2015 13:22

No.7 mascara is rubbish - no proper mascara should be compared to that. It's like comparing toilet freshener with Chanel perfume. Estee Lauder doublewear all the way - £21 a tube but it stays on, lasts for months and months and looks great. I get complimented on my lashes all the time and it's available in actual shops and online from a tried and tested brand! These products that perpetuate their own bullshit that somehow they're too special to be sold in shops... Angry. Not a fan of the mad wonky-legged spidery look which the younique adverts seem to push as a good thing Hmm
