Morgan97 · 23/06/2015 19:42

Hey girls thought I'd start a part 4 before part 3 reaches the limit. Anyone having received a letter from concentric or hrmc telling you they have evidence of you living with another adult please join us with your experiences, comments or support.

Yes. You don't need time sheets or hours on payslips. I was so worried about that. But letter from employer HAS to be enough! Because what else can we do! Its not our fault we don't have time sheets but apparently they understand that!!. Any body on here and there stuff was signed for on the 2nd June or before your case should be sorted.and any new people on here HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU POST EVERY THING recorded!!

efergie82 · 26/06/2015 10:06

From what i can tell baby there isnt any new people as they seemingly stopped sending letters in the last few weeks im hoping to deal with the backlog

Mel25murf · 26/06/2015 10:06

58 minutes! I don't know whether to hang up and try again on Monday! Arghhh!

zolabud81 · 26/06/2015 10:09

I'm telling u know if wasn't pregnant I'd be getting drunk every night just to try n forget about this

Mel25murf · 26/06/2015 10:12

I was on hold for 62 minutes, I had to hang up because I get charged after and hour and there is no way to tell how much longer I would have been waiting. 62 minutes, 3 times their estimated wait time.

12fedup12 · 26/06/2015 10:13

Try and hold on of you can mel25murf it is around an hour to answer, they are open tomorrow as well

I don't drink Zola or I would be the same but then would be worried about spending the money on drink.
Silly thing is we know we will all be fine as we have sent all the prove to back us up but it doesn't stop the worry, stress, panic and anxiety we are feeling.
Try your best to stay cal for the baby I know it's easier said than done x

Mel25murf · 26/06/2015 10:17

I will have to ring back later and try again. I am more concerned about document going missing and getting a week deadline to get copies all over again. It's not as easy as that. Hassling Boss to write another letter, asking Him to chase accountant for a years worth of payslips etc.... I Shoudl tell him to send an invoice for his time included with the documents if it happens. I think that is probably why they as us to chase our own employers.

babyalan13 · 26/06/2015 10:19

Its good there isn't any new people!! Maybe they have finished there investigation!! Which hopefully means they can get on with backlog

12fedup12 · 26/06/2015 10:25

That is one of my biggest worries mel25murf that they will lose all my personal documents, they can extend the deadlines and you have prove they signed for it, they extended my deadline to the 17th July they said this was for my peace of mind but I think it was more for them so that on the system it looks like they are working within there timeframes, which of course as we all know they aren't!

It does seem as if all of the cases coming on now are the working checks, maybe we were left till the end because we were the easier case to work which makes me think they probably sent even more letter than normal thinking that we would all be finished with very quickly and have in turn caused themselves this major back log because at the same time they have also still been getting documents from the other types of checks they are doing!

Mel25murf · 26/06/2015 10:34

I am in a dilemma about whether to pay my rent as it is due next week and at the moment, if I do that and they stop our tax credits for whatever reason then I literally won't have enough money to spread around all the bills and do a food shop. I am in a Local Authority house, so I assume if I write a letter explaining circumstances they'll be understanding until it is sorted out. I know that is not and option for those who have a mortgage/private renting. What do you think you would do?

12fedup12 · 26/06/2015 10:35

Try phoning hmrc and ask if your renewal has been completed yet

jonny82 · 26/06/2015 10:37

Mel25 you should always always look at your rent as being paid as your priority.

The roof over your head is most important so imo pay it.

babyalan13 · 26/06/2015 10:38

Mel I did that last week!!! They phoned then asking why I just said my bank was playing up. But there's not much they can do! Am in arrears anyway. But a week or 2 isn't going to make much difference. I wrongly do that some times when money tight!!

babyalan13 · 26/06/2015 10:40

I no wrong attitude!! But with the housing social they can be understanding! And if tax credits did stop we wouldn't be able to pay rent anyway!

jonny82 · 26/06/2015 10:47

I understand everyone's circumstances are different.

I'm in private renting so I suppose its a bit different.

Look let's all be positive and we know we aren't doing anything wrong and its worried me sick for the last few weeks but it ain't gonna ruin my life.

When they get to us they can see our docs all match up to rti and our letters from employers etc show we are working the hours or above to claim what we are entitled.

I kniw its hard but I'm going to forget about it as much as I can this weekend for once and let's all try do the same.

It's hard but we all know one thing we ain't doing fuck all wrong!

Chrissy4321 · 26/06/2015 10:47

Doesn't give much hope they know what they are doing

A letter from concentric part 4!
Mel25murf · 26/06/2015 10:49

I know jonny82 and I get your point and I can use a credit card to pay it if I have to, but the thing is that is the only bill outgoing that actually won't incurr a penalty if we default on it, so seems the most sensible thing to do financially!

I am on the phone again, waiting! Will HMRC refund any reasonable costs do you think given I waited an hour for free. It's 11.5 per minute after that on a standard rate. An hour is £6.90 it's not money I have to waste when they can't honour their 20 minute estimated wait time. Taking the Mickey!

Consent2trix · 26/06/2015 10:50

These bustards have screwed my head up!
I had the biggest melt down last night, petrified for what damage they are capable of and my future ability to care for my children, even to the point I was thinking I might have to ship them off to thier dad's for him to be able to feed and cloth them. He doesn't even want to see them or have anything to do with them, felt like my world was falling apart yesterday.
No family to help watch my kids so I can take on as many jobs as possible.
I see this country turning into America soon, where it's acceptable to see children living in cardboard boxes and not only acceptable but common, this new government and future plans are inhumane, as we speak removing us from the European human rights, bustards! Food banks are the future, future generations suffering.
Oh I'm soo sorry for my negative post today guys.
The thing which I cling onto for hope, is human rights. Children have rights surely, they can accuse and punish us grown ups, but surely the kids have rights. Why should they suffer?

12fedup12 · 26/06/2015 10:53

Jonny I feel same as you I have worried for 3 weeks now knowing I have done nothing wrong and that once they get my documents on and look at them everything will match just can't help it!
Am going to try and push it to the back of my mind, hopefully next week will bring good news

jonny82 · 26/06/2015 10:53

This is what happens when people vote Tory !

Mel25murf · 26/06/2015 10:55

The thing is jonny82, I don't even know if they have physically had my documents yet despite Royal Mail tracking saying that they have received it, doesn't mean they haven't lost it and my deadline is on Sunday(28th june). That means a system flag up could potentially mean my money stops next week because they can deal with things in their own given timescale.

So it's, do I pay the rent or feed my kids?! Have fuel for work or take a week off without pay because I can't afford it.

Lots of us, despite working hard because of low wages rely on that money just to survive. We are not jetting off to Barbados or drinking champagne whilst driving out bmws, just trying to keep afloat.

jonny82 · 26/06/2015 11:00

12Fedup I know its hard to carry on as normal and function worrying about payments etc but we can't let it take over our life.

It's not our fault they massively behind and our docs aren't scanned none of this is our fault.

We have provided tracking numbers so what more can we physically do for them, yours will be on the system this weekend or Monday I imagine and mine next week.

It's our of our hands and i have been told the tracking number protects us from payments stopped etc.

I'm gonna chill out as much as I can knowing we have done what they asked of us.

Try take your mind off it , I have noticed a good scary horror film does the trick for me lol.

AdmiralCLingus · 26/06/2015 11:03

jonny is very right girls, make sure that your rent is your priority. I know its shitty to think there will be no money there for food etc, but everything will be far worse for you all if you get evicted!!!

If you are concerned about feeding your family the trussel trust operate foodbanks around the country and will be able to help you out. I volunteer at our local one... Oh the irony when I had to ask for a food voucher!!! but they are generous and non judgemental, and most of them will have a folder of useful contacts that you can look through if the worst happens.

Its worse case scenario, but theyre there if you are really struggling.

And the ladies here that are having "another adult checks" remember, the onus is on HMRC/Concentrix to provide evidence that shows there is someone else with you, it is NOT your responsibility to prove you are single to them. Theres a piece of legislation that states this, I'll see if I can find it

Mel25murf · 26/06/2015 11:03

Consent2trix. I feel every word of what you wrote my lovely. I have felt like that over the 3 weeks but I have told myself that I am not going to let them question my self worth even if I do worry about it. Minimum wage has ruined this country, it soon became a maximum wage and even if I could work 50 hours a week on min wage, I would still need help to keep us afloat. Pit is the system that is wrong, not Unwins a working family and trying your best! Keep your chin up lovely.

12fedup12 · 26/06/2015 11:03

Thanks jonny you are right and thank you for supportive words will give the scary movie a try
