I have made numerous phone calls that has resulted in £17 charges.
I paid £7.65 for special delivery! and its still not resolved.
However mine is childcare check, why they cant ring the childcare provider is beyond me!!! Why cant concentrix pick up the bloody phone and ask for more info rather than writing every time!

Good wording so far!

Kittykat60 · 12/06/2015 13:13

We'll just rang concentric again went through option 6 not 1 this time and spoke to a guy who said id been given wrong information , not to ring her but their systems are yet again down! He's took my number n said either today or tomorrow he will call me back as everything should be scanned on to their systems and he would try n give me a decision on my case?!!!
Oh my god! Let's hope so n let's hope it's not the dreaded payments are stopping!!

Kittykat60 · 12/06/2015 13:13

Sorry meant hmrc!

nikkif80 · 12/06/2015 13:28

I think they say the systems are down when something is being done on the file!
It happened to me the day my docs were scanned!

ciaraDon · 12/06/2015 13:36

Just phoned. Systems down was told to phone again tonight at 7. Im going away for the weekend so I can't. Ive just decided not to bother ringing again , tiredbof being fobbed off. I'm going to try to stop worrying about it. My last payment went through and apparently they dont stop payments while it's ongoing so I will just wait till they deign to send me a letter or my award. They have caused me enough stress and worry and I'm not going to let it ruin any more of my peace of mind. I will post if and when I have any news and wish you ladies all the best , especially Morgan who has been dealing with the reality of what we are all only fearing. Good luck girls and hopefully my next post will be good news.

maryelizabeth71 · 12/06/2015 14:04

That is definitely the right way to think about it..... All this worrying gets us nowhere. Have a lovely weekend Grin

mimz87 · 12/06/2015 15:15

Well ladies finally got THE letter telling me they're not changing anything so that's them off my case now. Think the whole thing took 8weeks start to finish with me constantly ringing and nagging bear in mind. I'm not disappearing from hear though cos I know the support on here's got me through the worry. So thankyou ladies

Kittykat60 · 12/06/2015 15:31

Ahh that's great news mimz so pleased for you! I agrees ciara have a good weekend.

mimz87 · 12/06/2015 15:39

Scousejo1967 · 12/06/2015 15:47

Good attitude Clara have good weekend. Btw ladies according to press send concentrix themselves this could a yearly occurance according to hmrc and concentrix they have a legal right to perform compliance checks as and when they choose ???? !!!! So save all you're paperwork think they are trying to stress everyone into not renewing

ciaraDon · 12/06/2015 16:06

Im heading off at 5 snd gave them one last ditch phone attempt. Got through this time to be told a decision has been made on my case but can't tell me over the phone as it has to go through quality control ? Wtf does that mean. He said I will get a letter very shortly. Wish I hadn't rung now because I'm sure it's bad news as no one else has been told that when they've rung.

ciaraDon · 12/06/2015 16:25

Eff them, off to enjoy my weekend and put it all out of my head for a couple of days !

Good luck girls x

Morgan97 · 12/06/2015 18:07

Tango78 · 12/06/2015 21:38

Enjoy your weekend CiaraDon fingers crossed it's good news when you receive your letter.
I believe that they can do checks when they want as my last compliance check was Dec 14 decision received Jan 15 with no change then I received Concentrix letter end of April!
Kittykat I always choose 6 when ringing Concentrix so hopefully you'll receive some news soon.
Congratulations mimz glad you got a positive response.

Kittykat60 · 12/06/2015 23:12

Oh I hope so tango, I'm thinking tonight could be my last night of no sleep if it goes ok. I ll not count my chickens before they hatch though.

Kittykat60 · 12/06/2015 23:21

Izzy Well done on that letter, I'd also put in the anxiety they are causing us all and the fact we are vulnerable to start with it's like bullying tactics , they need to be ashamed of the stress they have put us all under. Let's them know know the reality of this witch hunt

smokie19 · 12/06/2015 23:31

hi, i rang them today as i sent details off 28th may and have heard nothing or recieved anything back as yet, pressed option 9 told computers down!!! so hung up rang again strightaway and went for option 1... guess what.. computers fine!! not looked at mine couldnt tell me when will, theres a backlog apperentley. said i would hear something when do. was told by hmrc though back in april befor recieving c letter when i rang with end of year earnings that will take 8 wks, thought it was weird as doesnt normally take that long when you do then it was about wk later that recieved the c letter

I've just had my childcare checked by Concentrix. To me the timing in my particular case made sense as my daughter has not long turned 3 and qualified for the 15 free hours. The system - not so sensible - here's my tale:

27 April I called HMRC To report the change in childcare which had taken effect a couple of weeks before. I was well within 30 days. Spent an hour on hold to be told I had to deal with Concentrix, who had Sent Me A Letter. Woman I spoke to would not give me any details and frankly made it sound like my claim had been selected for a fraud investigation! Eventually after some careful questioning on my part she gave me their phone number. If she had jus explained who Concentrix were and what they were doing it would have been fine! So I called Concentrix, who told me HMRC a we're dealing with my claim. On hold again to HMRC a for another hour - referred back to Concentrix. The net result here was that NO ONE would let me report my change of circumstances!! I eventually got them to make a note on the system that. I had called to report a change and what the change was. They told me A Letter Was On Its Way To Me which sounded very sinister and wouldn't give me any details. A week later I called to chase this letter to be told it hadn't been sent yet and I shouldn't have been told it was on its way because they all new these letters re childcare wouldn't be sent until that week!! It arrived the following week like that advisor said. She was helpful and told me it was childcare and advised what documents I should gather to send back. I sent back my docs on the 18th may, did my annual review over the phone with HMRC the same day, called Concentrix to chase on 4th June and they had just been scanned onto the system! The guy I spoke to said he would make The Decision right then and I'd get a letter soon. Letter confirming it was all fine arrived on Thursday(11th) exactly 1 week later. But guess what??? They didn't process my change in childcare even thought it was noted on 27th April AND I had informed them on the form that they sent with the letter, and provided new invoices at the lower rate!!!!! So I called them yesterday and they tried to insinuate I never told them, I asked her to look again as I'd kept a copy of what I'd sent and lo and behold it was all there, she just needed to go through my annual review again to implement the change....

I work for a government department so im used to bureaucratic incompetence so I decided micro managing was the way to go with this lot (!) I also used to work for DWP when tax credits were first implemented around 2001, I remeber what a nightmare it was because we had to deal with new claims on behalf of HMRC. No one really knew what it was all about (we had 2 hours training!!!) and the delays and backlogs were unacceptable. The other thing is that tax credits has always been "declaration not verification" which means they accept what you tell them without supporting documents. We all thought this left the system open to abuse, and they should have asked for supporting info from the outset. Now they are starting to ask for info and of course it's causing outrage and fear but I bet it's catching quite a few fraudulent claims because the system is so open to abuse in the first place because they don't ask for supporting docs for new claims!

PS - if you call Concentrix bang on 8am when they're first open and select option 6 as soon as you are able, you won't have to hold very long if at all, and the early morning staff seem to be more competent.

NoraNanaBear · 13/06/2015 08:14

Oh and keep copies of everything you send, including taking a photocopy of any letters you send them and forms you fill in.

Kittykat60 · 13/06/2015 10:05

We'll still waiting for my phone call,,, I see they are only open until 4 today so I ll give them until 3 and then ring them again!

babyalan13 · 13/06/2015 10:08

Good luck kittykat

girliefriend · 13/06/2015 10:14

I haven't rung them yet as just assuming they are taking ages due to ridiculous large amount of people they are harassing. Maybe I should be chasing it though?

I also need to ring tax credit people and add another childcare provider, just to confuse them even more!

Due to this though I have decided that I need to increase my hours at work, you just can't rely on tax credits anymore. This is what you get from a Tory government, just so predictable Angry

babyalan13 · 13/06/2015 10:22

How long you waiting girlfriend? Am going to phone next week that's my deadline date

Kittykat60 · 13/06/2015 10:25

Thanks babyalan, I'm presuming bad news as he did say either a call back in 10 mins yesterday, or before 6 last night. Failing that it would be today, feel sick with the anguish!
