Mimz they received my documents 28th may, they didn't even tell me if they were finished with them , just ring hmrc, ?!

nikkif80 · 11/06/2015 12:25

Kitty have you had any response or anything from them yet?>
They received mine 20th may?

nikkif80 · 11/06/2015 12:33

I have to wait till at least Tuesday to ring again! as rang 9th june!
But I shall be ringing weekly to see whats going on.

They said payments carry on provisionally while investigation ongoing but as they are so slow at sending letters how are we supposed to know if the payment will be the same or lower unless we ring, I cant wait till my next payment 23rd june to know if its the same, I need to pre plan and budget! so will have to ring next week!

nikkif80 · 11/06/2015 12:36

another thing when I was investigated two yrs ago by HMRC I had a case worker and I was able to speak to her direct and discuss things, she even rang me to find out why my figures differed!

Concentrix don't ring only write which is why theres such a delay with everything!

mumdad5 · 11/06/2015 13:17

Nikif80, thanx for the reply, i rang concentrix, only on hold for 7 minutes most be a record!, told them i sent all the stuff yesterday etc she said to send newdoc in with case number n ni number attached, she took my case number n details n said she'd make a note on file saying that contract letter is too follow so they wont write for more info etc do fingers crossed , off to the post office again, turning into my own pa !

mimz87 · 11/06/2015 14:19

Kittykat well it took exactly two weeks to get my documents back
I think if u phone hmrc they'll just refer you to concentrix but I didn't try that route so you never know

nikkif80 · 11/06/2015 14:39

We need to know who has been resolved really, and when they sent their docs back and deadlines to try and work out how long our cases are going to be,
My docs were signed for 20th May but they wasn't scanned on to system till 26th may.
Anyone before this date sorted yet?

As long as I know in advance my payment schedule and amounts etc I can cope.
I will ring concentrix weekly till its sorted then when they've done their bit I will ring HMRC till I get my renewal.
They have too many people hanging in limbo!

maryelizabeth71 · 11/06/2015 14:53

nikkif80 · 11/06/2015 15:01

As a self-employed childminder who also has 2 other part time business interests, I have no way of proving my working hours, so I have just sent them a long letter detailing all the variables in my work, giving examples of how I might have to juggle my 3 jobs on any given day. I'm hoping I will baffle them with numbers!

I have also shown through including my profit and loss accounts that my income works out to national minimum wage at the hours I am claiming and so that should be sufficient. That seems to be the main thing for self employed people and is apparently a new addition to their rule book.

If I were forced to get a different job working out of the home at minimum wage they would end up having to subsidise childcare for my two youngest, only for me to end up earning the same money, so completely pointless. Hopefully that will be enough to sway them.

If they kick up a fuss I might just go part time - if they're going to treat me like I'm not working 30 hours, I may just taken them up on it and sit back enjoying an extra 16 hours of leisure time a week! The best paying part of my job is the childcare anyway, so I can just get a couple more mindees on the books and get more money for the same hours.

Not exactly making it pay to be in work are they?!

Had a letter May after renewal my daughters dad was flagged as living here (dont) as there's a phone in his name my phone I have bad credit so he let me do it in his name, sent all relevant docs of next day, had my docs sent back weeks later then a letter saying they will write regarding my claim shortly this was 3 weeks ago! Is that normal?
Odd thing is since this Iv had a Broadband router arrive in my daughters dads name and house insurance and numerous things!

ciaraDon · 11/06/2015 16:19

Letter received 30th April , docs sent 2nd May returned on 11th. Renewal completed 17th May. Nothing as yet. Well over a month.

Tango78 · 11/06/2015 16:51

Hi I've just telephoned Concentrix again and the guy I spoke with looked at my case and then asked if they'd received my renewal I explained I renewed online before I received the Concentrix letter he checked and the info was there asked again if there was any changes to my award which I said no confirmed my earnings and said he was going to look at my case make a decision and close it today and I should receive a letter in the next couple of days won't hold my breath with their postal system. I renewed online 27th April concentrix letter received 29th April docs signed for 5th May and returned to me 29th May. I'll keep everyone updated on the decision and how long it takes to receive it. If you've waited a long time don't let them fob you off they obviously can sort it on the phone.

ciaraDon · 11/06/2015 17:26

That's good news Tango , think I will phone tomorrow.

Scousejo1967 · 11/06/2015 17:28

Just recieved another letter after they scanned my evidence on 5 th may and sent back the documents . The bank statements are print screens and not good enough even though it's taken 6 weeks to tell me that. So now I have to go into the bank spend god knows how muchti print them off send the back by deadline wed !!!!! And they will relook but the girl said don't phone until at least 4 weeks after we recieve the statements do that will make it July . Not bad going 3 mths !!!! I've complained again to hmrc. She said they spend all day on the phone which is why they can't make decisions quick . I am furious to say the least

ciaraDon · 11/06/2015 17:33

That is bloody ridiculous jo ! What kind of system are they running ??

babyalan13 · 11/06/2015 17:49

Omg that's awful!! This is getting worse. What is print screens? I just printed mine out. Seems to take so long

Scousejo1967 · 11/06/2015 17:50

What makes me laugh is the print screen shows the acc Nu the sort code of the bank they pay me into and all the transactions ... The same information they Will get from the printed ones from the bank. I then after 6 weeks they give me less than a week to print them off and Get them to Belfast . Hilarious . I'm not even worried now I am fuming and I am going to send 2 nd complaints to hmrc and ask to take the next steps to financial omnibudsman

Scousejo1967 · 11/06/2015 17:52

Basically you put the stanment up and take a photo on the screen and then print it out not good enough

ciaraDon · 11/06/2015 17:56

It just shows they are scanning our documents without checking them at that stage. They've only just got round to looking at yours now Jo , after 6 weeks. It's a farce.

babyalan13 · 11/06/2015 18:01

I doubt mine will be sorted before my holidays then :( very worrying especially when your taking 4 children away. Really need my money for that. I'll not enjoy myself thinking about what the post man could be coming with when am away

ciaraDon · 11/06/2015 18:05

Baby the payments will continue while the check goes on. I think they have bitten off way more than they can chew and are swamped. They're only getting to Jos case now after 6 weeks. My time frame is much the same as hers so Im hoping mine will not be too much longer but really who has sny confidence in this shower of incompetents to do anything properly and in an acceptable amount of time ?

babyalan13 · 11/06/2015 18:10

I no! Mine would be 6 weeks when I go on holiday. Which worries me in case it stops then!! Think I'll phone before I go and explain am going away and see what they say. I don't think I've read anyone who has actually had a completed positive outcome :(

ciaraDon · 11/06/2015 18:12

There's a few who have had theirs completed ok but thats from beginning of the year and Concentrix only started working for hmrc in November .

ciaraDon · 11/06/2015 18:16

They obviously haven't the staff to cope with the ever increasing number of checks.
