What I don't understand if they can't stop payments what are they doing ? Fish then send the ones without enough evidence back to hmrc ?

ciaraDon · 09/06/2015 20:26

They stop the payments of those who don't respond within the deadline. That seems to be the only cases of stopped payments directly from them that I've read about.

babyalan13 · 09/06/2015 20:29

Aye that's what the boy said to me on the phone today! Because I said to him I don't like that stopping payments part! He said only if we don't receive information

nikkif80 · 09/06/2015 20:36

Concentrix told me they can suspend All of your award or part of it for example if you don't ry about childcare they can stop the working tax credit prt.
I asked about overpayments and they said that can be duducted monthly same procedure as hmrc 25% of your award a month

nikkif80 · 09/06/2015 20:37

i am not due one till 23rd June but I'm going to ring the week before to see if payment changed or still same

ciaraDon · 09/06/2015 20:46

No one on here has had payments stopped by Concentrix as of yet , we are all just in limbo waiting on the decision. I am very sure they do have the power to stop awards but have yet to read of this on here yet.

stresshead99 · 09/06/2015 21:20

My payments haven't stopped yet but I'm dreading it. I didn't have a years worth of bank statements so I sent what I had. I have a disabled child who is up all night and I am at work all day. Paying for a nurse would cost the state way more than having the father stay a few nights but this seems to be where they have the information from. I didn't even deny it because I thought it was reasonable. No one can stay up literally 24/7 all the time. I'm exhausted and stressed and losing weight. My legs shake all the time through tiredness and adrenalin. I don't know what to do. I think they will need further evidence from me but what can I do?

babyalan13 · 09/06/2015 21:27

Stresshead. What about Dr's and medical reports?? Why don't you go to your go and ask if he can help. Or do you have a health visitor. Your local gp

babyalan13 · 09/06/2015 21:28

25% is quite high! I was hoping they would taker a 5er a week!!! If the worse happens!

girliefriend · 09/06/2015 21:39

Just catching up thread Morgan am so sorry to hear your news Sad not sure what to suggest, what is they are asking for?

In your case is it that they think your house mate is your boyfriend? Sorry if I have got that wrong! If that is the case I wouldn't have a clue how to prove it Confused in fact I would be tempted to move out, could you move in with a relative at least for the short term? Or would the council house you?

I sent all my info off about 4 weeks ago and still haven't heard a thing Sad but also increasingly Angry can't believe they can get away with treating people like this!!

Morgan97 · 10/06/2015 05:00

Hello again, yes Im up at stupid o'clock again still unsure what to do next as this has knocked me for six, but ladies please please sign the petition. Also when you sent things to them try to send them recorded delivery so you have proof of sending as they're quite fond of saying they haven't received anything, and if you can please try n stock up on anything you need just incase the worse happen. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Feeling crushed.

Hi babyalan, would medical notes help? I have loads of medical letters from doctors and hospitals and CAMHS. I thought the issue was because my x does actually stay some nights to help with my child. The alarms went off 5 times last night on the machine that provides the food. Here I am at 6.00am up and dressed for work. I think the resolution may be quitting my job to provide full time care to my child and then sleep during the day. These concentrix guys probably have a script they can't deviate from. Everything is black and white. Whatever you say incriminates you. I am so stressed! I really hope all of the people posting on this thread end up with a positive outcome.

babyalan13 · 10/06/2015 07:08

So do I stress head. But if I was you I would get everything you can and write a really good covering letter explaining everything. And I would also phone them.but it would do no harm to go to citizens advice and they will help with what you need to send. I always thought someone can stay up to 3 nights a week without it effecting benefits? Ask citizens advice that to

babyalan13 · 10/06/2015 07:10

Stress head is all bills in your name?

Kittykat60 · 10/06/2015 07:47

I've just worked out if it takes on average 2 to 3 weeks for them to return your documents once they ve received them , then 6 to 8 weeks for a decision from when you get your documents back I'm looking at end of July putting up with this stress! That's 3 bloody month! I've already lost loads of weight n on max anti depressants, not going to be fit enough to work soon!

God help me if or probably when the payments stop.

babyalan13 · 10/06/2015 08:01

I'll be near September!!! Think maybe phoning hopefully will speed it up! Some people seem quicker but. A girl in my work was about 4 weeks in total. So fingers crossed

izzy76 · 10/06/2015 10:24

Hiya ladies im shocked and saddened to see so many new people joining, ive spent the last 4 days in hospital, the 8th was my cut off date and i couldnt sleep last night worrying i wony get payed but i have phew so does that mean C have accepted m evidence?
Morgan how stressful for you i hope it all works out ok for you and you can get it sorted xx

ciaraDon · 10/06/2015 11:39

Izzy hope you feel better soon although the stress of this won't be helping.
Baby, 4 weeks start to finish ? That was quick.

nikkif80 · 10/06/2015 11:50

When I had an over payment couple years ago they took 25% of my award to pay off. I could have appealed that but you have to go through your income and expenditure and I didn't want to do that! I am also expecting a small over payment of few hundred as I didn't use the childcare for 2 weeks as was off, and another 2 weeks my Ofsted registered was full so used a different one.

I still don't get why they say they have sent me a second letter asking about a tick box on the renewal for any changes.
I am sure I ticked it online to say no changes and wrote on the concentrix form no changes to report, this is bothering me how the letter hasn't come and how long it takes. Why cant they pick the phone up and ask us to save all the weeks of time!

Last compliance was 15 weeks but that was with HMRC am hoping concentrix are quicker!

If you are expected to estimate your childcare how can we get it accurate for the future.

Maybe we should under estimate!

mumdad5 · 10/06/2015 14:29

Well i sent all my paperwork i had off today, everything they asked for bar my husbands old contract which i dont have n concentrix said it was ok as Long as it has hour s in payslips fought my anxiety all the way to the post office, sent it registered first class £7.15 !, so Ive now joined the waiting game my date wasnt til the 26th of june but I couldnt stand my nerves readin n re- reading the letter !! I suffer from extreme anxiety , ive written in my cover letter and in their Information Docs enclosed form because when i rang concentrix she toldme to dø that otherwise they send another letter asking you, om so glad i found this site its been nice to See everyone supporting each other its just a shame why its happening x

mumdad5 · 10/06/2015 14:33

Sorry i meant ive written in cover letter that there were no changes as I was told to by concentrix otherwise they will write to you Again ,,

nikkif80 · 10/06/2015 14:55

I don't get why they do this, cause ive kept copies and screen shotted my renewal and I definitely put on both no changed to report!

mumdad5 · 10/06/2015 15:05

Nikkif80 im not sure either, just was told to do it, im wondering how they can do any work on these checks as their system is always down !!

stresshead99 · 10/06/2015 16:07

Hi, Babyalan I'm just in from work. All the bills are in my name except the pet insurance, my x bought the kids a dog on the condition he paid pet insurance. He also agreed to pay sky as my child doesn't play out and i don't get maintenance. I didn't send everything they asked for because I didn't have it. I will get bank statements now if I have to. Gas, electric, tv licence, rent etc are all in my name alone. The tactics are quite intimidating that they use. I will appeal but the stress is killing me. I sent my stuff off 3 weeks ago but I haven't heard a word yet. I did ring them but I got really upset and didn't get anywhere. I told them my situation but they didn't seem too interested. maybe we are easy targets.

Kittykat60 · 10/06/2015 16:55

Oh I think we are easy targets stress head , you know I don't get it , people are saying that concentrix don't stop payments but if you read earlier threads it says they have the power to change and stop claims and they are paid on how many claims they stop. I'm confused!.
