Is yours the same? PProving your single? That seems to be the hardest one. Mine is proving I am working!! Why I would lie about that I don't no! 6 weeks is a long time have you phoned them?

ferry78 · 08/06/2015 21:32

Yes mine was a mr x letter - I live with my parents after husband left me with four children and left the country paying me nothing !!!

ferry78 · 08/06/2015 21:33

Yes I plucked up the courage to ring last week and they said they had a back log .

babyalan13 · 08/06/2015 21:34

I have 4 children to! Do you work? I really couldn't live without my child tax credits I really couldn't copecope. You should phone them

babyalan13 · 08/06/2015 21:35

Aww really! I was going to phone thenthem on Wednesday. But I only posted mine last week. When was your deadline

ferry78 · 08/06/2015 22:09

My deadline was 20 th may - I work if my payments stopped I don't know how I would cope - I am just surviving now - I was left with a lot of debt from my husband which is the main reason am living with my parents until I pay it off - i have worried myself sick and can't talk to my parents as they are elderly and I don't want to worry them - thank goodness for this site x

babyalan13 · 08/06/2015 22:35

Aww I no. Its good to no were not on our own. But the more I read the more I worry!! I get my payments on Wednesday to. But my deadline isn't till the 20th June. So I've long to go! I really hope my payments don't stop. I didn't tell them I was on maternity last year I hope I don't get into trouble. That's the only thing I can think I've done wrong

babyalan13 · 08/06/2015 22:37

Do you mind me asking how much child tax you get? I get £224 a week . Does that sound a lot? I have 4 young children and work 30 hours

Morgan97 · 09/06/2015 07:18

Ladies thank you all for your words,my advice to all of you is put some money aside each week so you have something to fall back on,I didn't do this as I bought everything would be ok as it was in 2012. Unfortunately for them I'm not going to give up,yes the hardest thing is proving you're single. I'm not on Facebook so can't see that group beat the bailiff but maybe I could ask a couple of friends n see if they can look for me. Good luck to all of you I hope you all get good news x

GreenishMe · 09/06/2015 07:52

So sorry Morgan. Can't imagine how you're feeling.

Glad you're not giving up and hope you still manage to stay in touch on here. There'll be many more of us in your position before the end of the year...perhaps we need to organise our own protest group - strength in numbers.

Stay strong x

Morgan97 · 09/06/2015 07:59

I won't give up and I'd like to start some sort of support group. I've emailed the bbc news again so watch this space. Any other ideas ladies, even if you get good news there are still more n more of these letters being sent and every little bit of support helps.

Am that worried I started Christmas shopping last night!; asked the wains what they wanted and got them a couple of things!! Its a bad thing when your panicking about Christmas in June!!but if my money stopped I'd have to choose between food or presents :(

babyalan13 · 09/06/2015 08:09

Go to a Solicitor Morgan you definitely need legal advice. I have one and don't have to pay cause low income

Scousejo1967 · 09/06/2015 08:21

Def solicitor there are lots that's specialise in benefits and most are free for half an hour that's the only way you're going to win the appeal hon x

Hi there ladies
I've been reading the page religiously for the last month. I got the partner living with you letter also. I am different though I do not work as I am a full time student. Anyway I recieved my letter today saying no change. I just wanted you all to know my timescale.. Recieved original.letter the 30th April. Sent my stuff the 6th of may.. Recieved documents back 20th may which was dated the 11th and today I recieved no change letter dated the third. please ladies keep your chin up and all the best.. Good luck to.Morgan.. I hope things get sorted for you its absolutely disgusting what they have put you through.

nikkif80 · 09/06/2015 09:31

Well I rang concentrix today to see whats happening and they wrote to me a second time asking for more info! Good Job I rang today cause letter hasn't come yet.

Apparently they need confirmation that there are no changes on my renewal I am slightly confused apparently I didn't tick a box online or something, not sure why they couldn't have rang me but im sure I ticked the box on the concentrix investigation form.

She also said its gone to the decision makers I asked about my renewal this will be processed along with investigation.

Why is it so time consuming and my payments will probably change before I get letter as the post doesn't go out daily it can take 2-3 weeks to arrive!

mumdad5 · 09/06/2015 10:24

nikkif80 i rang concentrix a few days ago - there system was down, i told them hrmc had my renewal and it was being processed. The lady on the phone told me to send all my things with a cover letter stating there is no change on my renewal otherwise they will write to you again asking for confirmation of no changes because there is no box to tick to say so . i am constantly reading everyones updates too feels like a loosing the plot
, it seems to be taking over everyones lives !!

babyalan13 · 09/06/2015 10:33

Thanks sweet. Its good to hear peoples over all story from start to finish!! I don't understand this renewal thing cause I renewed then received the concentrix letter 3 weeks later!!

nikkif80 · 09/06/2015 10:45

thanks for your replies!

It is good to read other peoples stories hopefully we can all help each other get through it together!!

imnottoofussed · 09/06/2015 12:16

Good News from me, I managed to get through to concentrix yesterday after about 5 attempts and being on hold for 30 minutes, I told them I live with my parents, they asked me for their names and dates of birth and confirmed that was who they had listed on their system so said I don't need to send any evidence and they will write to me to confirm everything is fine.

Slightly annoying as I had already printed off nearly everything that they had asked for and also paid for duplicates of some credit card statements and a large postage envelope. I was only ringing them because I couldn't provide some of the evidence. Anyway just glad mine is all sorted and I don't have to spend any money posting them stuff.

Hopefully this won't be a yearly occurrence.

nikkif80 · 09/06/2015 12:42

That's good news for you!
Surely it would be better for them in the single letter to disclose who the names are!
I sometimes get post for my landlord or for one or two old tenants and ive lived there for 3 years! Im going to start sending back saying return to sender!

ciaraDon · 09/06/2015 13:46

Thanks for your timescale Sweet. I received my letter the same time as you , documents were returned earlier than yours but still not had a decision.
Morgan good attitude , they are hoping people won't have the knowledge or resources to challenge them. You will absolutely win when this goes for appeal or further and I hope you are compensated for what you have been put through.

nikkif80 · 09/06/2015 13:59

my friend also had her claim stopped cause of this single letter, she was advised to start a new claim and it was accepted she was single as she was able to provide enough.
However the appeal against the old claim is ongoing and gone to tribunal.

They were trying to get her to pay £5000 back over 10 years but she has refused as she is not guilty!

Appeal and re apply. good luck morgan

babyalan13 · 09/06/2015 16:00

I phoned concentrix there now!! Waste of time apparently systems are down! I told him there's a lot of bad press!! And I ask about why they say about payments stopping. He said payments only stop if you ignore the letter or don't provide what there asking! So still no further forward. He only said it can take 6 weeks from receiving your information back before you no a decision!! So I'd say I'll not be getting the free school meals in September at this rate!!

Kittykat60 · 09/06/2015 16:27

So once we get our documents back, 6 weeks after that baby? .
God we are all going to be stressed to bits these school holidays!
