mumdad5 · 05/06/2015 19:01

Babyalan yes on the letter it asked for bank statements n payslips p45 cos my husband changed Jobs n then underneath where it says if payslips dont state hours proof of timesheets which i dont have like you then it says about contract stating hours or letter from employer , when i asked at cab they said more info the better, when i rang concentrix she asked if on the letter had they asked for anything to be sent in ? I replied bank statements payslips etc told her the only thing i dont have was a copy of my husbands contract and she said do i have payslips stating hours which i do and she said that they were enough , dont know how much it was to ring rang off mobile contract but i have def used alot of my monthly allowance, does your local council off have a hub or public access phone to hmrc? Cos they closed all the tax offices xx

GreenishMe · 05/06/2015 19:59

One of my work colleagues received her letter today. I told her about Concentrix last week - and how they were sending out letters indiscriminately. I don't think she really thought she'd get one....if you know you've done nothing wrong you assume you're safe don't you?

I knew she'd got a letter as soon as she said she needed to speak to me this morning.....she broke down, absolutely terrified - felt so sorry for her.

As she sat there sobbing, I just thought.. how can this be allowed? It can't be right. Concentrix are cruel. When are they going to be sacked?

I don't understand why the Government is doing this to us.

mumdad5 · 05/06/2015 20:59

The way the letter is written it makes you feel guilty n question every aspect of any part of your life that you have ever told them about, we all feeling anxious because we all are on low incomes bringing up children regardlessif we r married or single parents that apply for these credits because we dont have enough to live on and the threat or letter to say it might ne taken away is all consuming ,

babyalan13 · 05/06/2015 22:37

So true mum dad 5. I just feel so anxious and to be honest a bit depressed. I work 30 hours. Earn about 800 a month. I have 4 children and am married but my husband doesn't work and doesn't receive benefits. So I'd like to think I am entitled to tax credits especially child tax. I've been going over everything and truely don't no what I've done wrong. The only thing I can think of was I didn't tell them I was on maternity last year. And I sell the wains old clothes and toys on eBay every so often. But is that enough to take away my tax credits. So worried cause 800 a month would never cover for the 6 of us to live :(

mumdad5 · 05/06/2015 23:26

I totally understand how you are feeling, my husband had a 24 hour contract changed jobs in jan for 30 hours which i can prove contract payslips hours worked etc, what im worried about is his previous job some months only 5 out of 12 he didnt do the 24 hours a week lowest being 1 hour less a week or a whole day off for illness but as i dont have a copy of his contract in stressing that i cant prove hes ever worked 24 hours even though he has done for years ??

mumdad5 · 05/06/2015 23:31

I meant either one hour less a month or at the most 4 hours off which meant one day off that month through sickness, honestly its making question my own mind xx

GreenishMe · 06/06/2015 16:32

Hi, I was just reading some posts about Concentrix on another site (sorry MN) and found this...

"However, I got talking to a for ever Concentrix worker!! He said, almost all single parents are getting these letters, stand your ground and send in what they require. He also said there's a saying at concentrix " shake the tree and they'll give in" don't give in and stand your ground with these jerks! "

So now we know...they're hoping we'll all just give up. I wonder how much money they've retrieved from people who just couldn't take the stress anymore and so stopped claiming even though they were entitled to.

babyalan13 · 06/06/2015 16:59

I was actually considering posting all my stuff again!! Just to make sure!! I photocopied everything I originally posted so at least I no they definitely have it! Think am going mad!!!!

bendybrickpumpkinpatch · 06/06/2015 17:11

hi all.

I've just received a letter too. im not a single parent however. They are querying MY earnings?

i work 30 hours , 3 children and use and pay for s childminder as my dh is registered disabled.

i have to supply 12 months of pay slips and bank statements plus a letter from my employer detailing my hours and salary over the last 12 months !!!

i feel sick.

babyalan13 · 06/06/2015 17:31

I am the same!! I work 30 hours I've 4 children and am married posted stuff last Monday but from reading other threads you could be waiting 2 months before a reply!! I need my renewal to apply for school meals and uniforms! Am worried this will hold it up!

Morgan97 · 06/06/2015 20:19

Greenishme,I heard almost the same thing that its a game of cat n mouse n let's see who breaks first,it's absolutely disgusting they can get away with this awful treatment, scary letters, threats, demands and then stopping money with the flick of a switch without even thinking about the consequences go their actions. Then leave it to us poor parents to pick up the pieces and try to live a decent life!! Well it ain't happening I'm sick to death of struggling and worrying I'm taking this as far as I can take it n if that don't work ill Start all over again n keep on doing it (so there)

OP posts:
Sloulou88 · 06/06/2015 20:53

I realised when I got my renewal I forgot to update my name but wrote to them to let them know along with details of my husbands employment details . He got a new job shortly after I renewed last year and I comoletley forgot to tell them , (he was learning less than we said originally but working same amount of hours) and then started his other job start of this May (I told them this one with the renewal when I renewed online) and I got married almost a year ago. Worried I'll get into trouble espeshially if concentrix are involved xxx

Sloulou88 · 06/06/2015 20:53

Sorry if that doesn't make sence im panic writting !!!!

Morgan97 · 06/06/2015 22:18

Slou try not to panic too much,we can only send what we have they know this n use their bullying tactics to make us crumble. Greenish show your friend this thread there are some good outcomes ( she says, stressing as usual) bendy just send what they ask for and try not to worry too much, not easy i know. Don't give up ladies, reading that more n more new people are joining this thread just fuels my anger!

OP posts:
Sloulou88 · 06/06/2015 23:44

Thank you! I have updated his current job and now informed hmrc of his last year job just didn't think at the time!!! And it's not like he earnt more money so we were not claiming more than we should be but still worrying xxxx

Morgan97 · 07/06/2015 08:01

It's all very worrying especially when you run out of things to sent them and they keep asking for things they know you haven't got my heads all over the place I can't concentrate on anything properly now it's awful the waiting, the worrying day after day god knows how I'm managing to stay sane

OP posts:
Kittykat60 · 07/06/2015 08:43

It ll be two weeks come Wednesday they received mine, trying to figure out when I may hear but I'm lost off now to how long people are waiting. It's disgusting the stress we are all under, I'm still surprised there hasn't been more publicity regarding our plight as people in the know are aware what we are all going through.

Morgan97 · 07/06/2015 08:58

Kitty I sent all my evidence on 12th feb they stopped my money on 26th march then I got a letter about two weeks later with all my stuff n a separate letter the same day telling me my claim had closed!! So don't hold your breath just yet you'll go pop! Anyone any ideas who else I can contact to make the media aware of this. I've emailed various news stations n papers but nothing back yet.

OP posts:
Kittykat60 · 07/06/2015 09:28

I know Morgan it's just a waiting game with them, I don't know who else to contact Morgan, wouldn't you think someone would get their teeth into this and bring it into the open, seems like it's all hush hush, and it's never ending, more and more letters sent out every day.

babyalan13 · 07/06/2015 09:28

Do you mind me asking. How much have they took away from you. Were you getting child and working tax credits I get 262 a week for both I have 4 children and work 30 hours if I lost that I'd never cope

babyalan13 · 07/06/2015 09:45

My contract is in my maiden name!!!! Do you think it matters??

Morgan97 · 07/06/2015 09:55

I know kitty I'm wracking my brains,my mp seemed helpful at first but that's died a death now. Baby I lost both working and child tax credits at £127.43 a week,it's been ten weeks now I don't know I'm still here to be honest.

babyalan13 · 07/06/2015 10:07

Jes that's a while lot to loose. Maybe you'd best to phone them again

Youngmum24 · 07/06/2015 10:09

Hi there, I am extremely worried I received one of these letters on the 17th of May to say I was living with another adult.. I in fact stay with my mum, dad, brother and 5 year old son! My mum and dad pay rent to local council by phone and I only pay toward weekly food bills... I just wondered if some good results had come from these letters or has everyone received bad news!! I sent in 12 months worth of bank details, parents council tax statement, car finance, parents electricity bill should this be enough evidence??? Completely stressed out ??
