May go to your local job social security agency? CSB and local housing place? That's were I'll be going this is an awful situation, I think am going to contact panorama this needs to go on tv

babyalan13 · 02/06/2015 08:02

Morgan do you mind me asking are you on a high wage? And how much they have actually stopped on a weekly basis? I earn 10,000 a year. Have 4 children. I get 262 a week in tax credits. Really rely that! It pays shopping and my rent!!

Morgan97 · 02/06/2015 08:21

babyalan nooooo I only get minimum wage n work 17 hours a week. I've registered with housing and been to CAB they sorted me a food parcel or two out,no ones bothered that I've next to nothing to live on I share a house with a friend and contribute towards the bills well I used to but I'm getting behind with everything now. I've emailed loads of people but sadly this is a nation that doesn't care anymore.

Am starting to think were better of not working!!! Get full rent! Tax credits and dole and everything else!!

Morgan97 · 02/06/2015 08:55

I've thought that myself babyalan but I'm angry that I have to think about leaving my job that I love, tax credits have put me in this awful mess and I'm seriously considering leaving work just so I can live a life, the government says we are better off in work yet they allow tax credits to change our lives with the press of a button. Feeling sad and let down by the system

babyalan13 · 02/06/2015 09:02

I no I love my job to my hours are perfect it fits around my children don't no what to do. Might go citizens advice and see what I can do worse case!! There's 6 of us in my house and they all rely on me! If I crumble were all screwed. Just feel so depressed. My stuff should arrive with the fuckers today. When should I phone???

babyalan13 · 02/06/2015 09:03

Do you think its because you share a house with a friend? Could that be the issue?

Morgan97 · 02/06/2015 09:07

Whatever you do babyalan don't crumble I haven't and its been the hardest few weeks of my life,it's not been easy I spend every day feeling I've been kicked all over. When was your deadline to send your stuff in? Just cos they received it today doesn't mean they will even open it let alone read it they are scum making us wait. Go to citizans advice n see what they say, I didn't go to them till after they stopped my money but they were really helpful and sorted out food parcels for me too. It's desperate isn't it

Morgan97 · 02/06/2015 09:10

babyalan,I had the same letter in 2012 my evidence was ok then, my circumstances haven't changed I still share a house with the same friend I still contribute towards the bills, buy mine n dds food, clothes etc,do my own washing, cooking etc they just change things to suit themselves but don't think of the consequences

OP posts:
Kittykat60 · 02/06/2015 10:02

I ll be giving my job up if mine get stopped, couldn't survive on my wage alone

Morgan97 · 02/06/2015 10:12

This is the thing though Kitty if we leave our jobs we have to wait at least six to eight weeks for JSA it's a nightmare feel like I'm backed in a corner n will come back screaming like a mad woman ha

OP posts:
Kittykat60 · 02/06/2015 10:29

I know and then we will only be asked constantly what jobs we have applied for, how can we take jobs and survive without our tax credits?! It's a nightmare!

Morgan97 · 02/06/2015 10:50

Yes Kitty it's a lose lose situation, damned if we do n damned if we don't. I sent anew claim form off last week it was received and signed for at the warrington offices, which I find strange as everything else has even sent to Preston aaaarrrrggghhhhh brain overload

Morning all, sorry to see yet again there are more people coming into this thread.

I had an email off my mps office this morning stating what they have done and what the situation is (that theyve reinstated my tax credits and overthrown the previous decision to stop them) so please please keep badgering your MP for a result. I think anyone who has had the letter should get in touch with their mp as well as CAB like morgan has suggested.

Its truly disgusting the awful position these people are putting us in.

AdmiralCLingus · 02/06/2015 10:53

oh and for anyone who DOES live in a house with another adult, [http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/manuals/tctmanual/TCTM09341.htm this]] was invaluable to me, as I went through each of their criteria and noted down exactly how or not each one fitted my circumstances

Morgan97 · 02/06/2015 10:58

Fab news for you Admiral, have pmd you cos HM playing up again fingers crossed for everyone

maryelizabeth71 · 02/06/2015 11:00

Good news for you :-)

The tax credits manual is a good document to look at in these situations as it sets down what they are able to do..... And what their and claimants rights are.

Heavy reading but worthwhile if you have a specific issue

ciaraDon · 02/06/2015 12:44

Great news Admiral.

izzy76 · 02/06/2015 12:57

Afternoon ladies i finally got through to C and gave them my action fraud number and the gent i spoke to was brilliant he took the number after saying it was not needed but i insisted that it was taken and then he added it and said it was the same person and not to worry about it everything will be fine and i shall have a letter in a few weeks time to say the same,(i just hope he aint just saying that) but ill keep my fingers crossed its bloody stressful. The moto of my story is.............
Never buy a car and get the person to drop it off to you.
All this stress is not good for me i really dont know how some of you ladies have managed i thank you all once again for being here i would of gone bonkers by now x

ferry78 · 02/06/2015 13:12

Rang HMRC finally and was told my evidence had been received and that they had a huge back log so might get looked at this week I sent it over a month ago - been waiting everyday for post and it has not even been looked at- they did say that you must send renewal off before its looked at – so now more waiting !

Kittykat60 · 02/06/2015 14:15

Great news admiral, so pleased for you!.
Ferry was the backlog with concentrix ? Or hmrc? Wondering how long it takes from them receiving things at concentrix

ciaraDon · 02/06/2015 14:26

Ferry my renewal award form came after id sent off my documents. I phoned the number to renew and was told to phone Concentrix to deal with it which I did. They also told me to post form back. I received my documents back after that, still no decision letter but first monthly payment has gone in as normal. Someone also mentioned here that they didnt receive a decision letter at all after their docs were returned but their final award came through with no amendments.

Kittykat60 · 02/06/2015 14:34

Ciara, how long did it take from them receiving your documents?

ciaraDon · 02/06/2015 14:41

Kitty I sent my documents off immediately (beginning of May) they were received the next day. It had said on my letter that I needed to renew my claim also before they could complete my check. Renewal pack received a week later when I phoned to give my annual income. Docs received back round 14th May ( but dated the 7th). There was an enclosed letter to say they would write with my decision. No letter received as of today but my first monthly payment went in last week. My deadline was only 28th May so unless they are only dealing with each claim after its deadline or sending out large batches of decision letters at once to cover as many people as possible..?

Kittykat60 · 02/06/2015 14:44

So about 2 weeks Ciara, god hope mines that quick!
