I'm very concerned - the father of my children is still registered on the mortgage but everything else is in my name. They haven't asked me for bank statements but have asked for utility bills and council tax statements etc which ive sent to them 2 weeks ago but haven't yet heard back. His bank is still registered here as the mortgage and life insurance is all linked. his bike was also registered here but sold it last year so there should be no other ties to here. Can anyone advise me if I should be calling them to chase them up? Im worried sick as TC is a lifeline for me.

mumdad5 · 31/05/2015 14:07

Hi everyone im new to this, would love some advice, im worried out of my mind, ive been sent a letter from concentix, asking for my husbands wage slips bank statements for the last year n p45 cos my husband changed Jobs, im worried because when ive looked at payslips around five of the months my husband worked less than the stated 24 hours 96 for 4 weeks the lowest being 91.5 this was mainly due to helping me as i was suffering from extreme anxiety n depression, im so worried that they are going to stop my child tax credits for our 4 sons, can anyone give me advice x

Morgan97 · 31/05/2015 14:14

Dribblebucket,if you only sent your stuff two weeks ago I don't think you would have heard from them yet, they certainly don't rush themselves I've written to them five times in as many weeks since they stopped my money n they still haven't replied yet all letters were received and signed for,if I were you give it another couple of weeks and then ring them for an update, yes I know it's frustrating and annoying to wait but unfortunately that's all we can do. They made their demands and their deadlines but don't seem to be in any rush to respond. sunflowersmiling yes you're right child maintenance isn't taken into consideration so god only knows why they're asking some of us for it because it clearly states on the form its not relevant. Aaaaaarrrrggghhh they are driving me insane.

Mumdad5 check on your husbands p60 for this year there's a way you can work out how many hours are worked out over the year, someone told me this and I worked mine out correctly. I'm going to look for the info and if I find it ill get back to you. You can send what they ask for and a covering letter explaining what you haven't got please try not to worry, its not an easy ride I should know

Ok thank you morgan97, feel like im loosing my mind, if ive made a mistake n have an overpayment or fine thats one thing but we cant manage with no child tax credit,i cant believe they are doing this to so many people especially as we all wouldnt be on tax credits if we had enough to live on xx

Morgan97 · 31/05/2015 15:06

Have pmd you mumdad5. Does anyone know anybody that's appealed againt their decision and won?

sorry to be a pain but im really stressed out, the letter from concentrix is badly written, if my husbands payslips have details of their hours worked which his does do i still have to send the section of a contract detailing hours they work its written under the if you ??, i dont have a copy of this and my husband no longer works for the company which has also lost its contract with my husbands former employer.any reply would be fantastic

Morgan97 · 31/05/2015 17:07

Mumdad5,my situation is totally different from yours but I've taken advice from some on here, just send what you have and write a covering letter explaining why you haven't got the rest. Honestly the way they word things is enough to stress anyone out.

Hi All,

I received a letter from concentrix this week stating they had information that I lived with another adult and should be claiming as a couple instead of a single parent. It also says that if I'm found to have made a false claim I will need to repay any overpayments and could be fined for making a false claim. I live with my parents and have done since shortly before the birth of my 12 year old son after leaving an abusive relationship. The information they want seems intrusive and unnecessary. I have never hidden the fact that I live with my parents and can't understand why this would be flagging up now? Ive been reading through an old thread here and now this one and I'm disgusted at the treatment and hardship some people have been faced with because of what I can only gleen as a witch hunt, but so glad to find I'm not alone in this. The posts have been very helpful when considering sending my information in and I will now also be blanking out sort codes and account numbers. Ive have spent most of yesterday and part of today printing out the years worth of bank statements and every bill imaginable from my online accounts to send in to them as 'evidence' that I'm single. Really hope I don't end up in the same situation as some people and having my money stopped as my parents rely on the cash I give them each week for being here and couldn't afford to do so without my tax credits Sad I will be sending my documents by recorded mail tomorrow and will keep you updated.

Fingers crossed.

Anna

Morgan97 · 01/06/2015 08:14

Hello Anna, with regards to blanking out things on your bank statements,I blanked out the sort code and account numbers but I left the last three digits ,they said I had to send bank statements that haven't been defaced, but I know some of the ladies on here haven't had a problem I think it just depends if you get a jobsworth looking at your documents also my bank printed out my statements for free so it's worth asking. Good luck.

Afternoon ladies i have just got out of bed for the first time since friday ive had a splitting migrane thank goodness the kids went to my sisters else i wouldnt of coped.Ive spoken and filed a report with action fraud and have added the ref number to the letter i wrote and will send it tomorrow recorded and keep my fingers crossed,I had another letter for R.Lewis today and opened it to call the people who sent it (wescot credit services) in the letter it said they were provided with my address for him and when i rang them they were not very helpful untill i broke down and asked to talk to someone senior,I was then told they were told by a tracing company but have removed the name from my address and promised not to send any more letters this all seams never ending,Do you think i should ring C and update them with the ref number or just leave it in letter form.Thank you all once again for being here for me to sound off and ask advice x

Kittykat60 · 01/06/2015 13:51

Just checked with Royal Mail to see if they got my documents and they arrived the day after the deadline, the 28th, panicking now they ll stop my money regardless because they didn't get them on time. I do not want to ring them, don't think I can take the stress!

Waggledanse · 01/06/2015 16:56

Well just wanted to advise I had a response to say that everything remains the same and all is ok. So panic over for me. I'm still not happy because the letter the childminder gave me, I could of typed myself and they didn't even call her to confirm. It only took 3 weeks from getting that reply aftery documents were sent. I hope this helps bring some positivity to people worrying and to try not too. As a result of this stress I've learned my so called boyfriend is a horrible selfish nasty man and we've split up 2 days before our holiday :-( but I'm going to take my little boy instead. I really hope everyone gets sorted soon because I can honestly say I've never felt stress like this in my life. I'm already preparing for the " I'm living with a adult" and keeping documents safe. X

babyalan13 · 01/06/2015 17:18

I am completely stressed out!!!! In such a panic. Do they stop child tax and working tax? I thought it was the working tax they were investigating? I posted majority of stuff of today cost me £7.25!!! I couldn't send time sheets cause we don't have time sheets in my work! I haven't slept all week.can't eat. Just so worried. I've 4 children I can't live without child tax credits!!!! Please help

Morgan97 · 01/06/2015 18:39

babylan please try not to worry you can only send what you have, every case is different I've had my claim stopped and am still fighting it 8 weeks on. It really does depend on the circumstances and mine aren't that straightforward. Waggle so pleased its worked out for you, enjoy your holiday with your son,and as for your ex he didn't deserve you anyway so middle finger to him lol. Kitty it's only a day late so hopefully things will be ok for you. They're such bastards they give us deadlines n make threats yet can't reply to a single letter. I'm tempted to ring them but won't give them the satisfaction of breaking down on the phone so I'm just waiting n waiting

So pleased for you waggle! Thanks Morgan I know I'm getting totally obsessed with all this, loosing things, walking into rooms n no idea while I'm there and trying to be supportive through exam fortnight and slowly going round the bend , really hope you get some feedback soon Morgan it must be like mental torture for you.
Try and keep your chin up as best you can babyalan I know it's not easy but we are in their hands at the minute.

Morgan97 · 01/06/2015 21:04

Ha ha Kitty you sound just like me,this has taken over my life and yes it's mental torture my life's on hold at the moment. Loving the support on here

babyalan13 · 01/06/2015 21:59

I feel the same!! All I do is research concentrix!!! Think am going mad!! How many children do you have Morgan?? Aren't you entilted to child tax credit??

anna4750 · 01/06/2015 22:01

Hi Morgan,

Thank you so much for the reply, I decided not to blank out anything after reading your post as I just want this over and done with as quickly as possible.

Here's hoping

handsoff5 · 01/06/2015 22:10

Hi I also have recieved this so called letter... I have to give 12 months of my bank statements. I have a bf but he does not live with me for financial reasons. I was in a lot of debt and he has helped me pay them off as i was struggling. The thing is it shows this money going into my account and going out to pay them. ( i was £5000 in debt with loans/overdrats ect) I pay all my own household bills he does not contribute to this. I am worried as if i am short of cash he will transfer lets say £20 into my account then i will transfer it back when i have money. Surely this doesnt prove he lives with me? I am entitled to a life??? My 19 year old son just applied for a loan so I am wondering if this has flagged someone living with me?

Morgan97 · 01/06/2015 22:20

Good luck anna they do tend to change things to suit themselves to be honest but when they asked for more evidence they did say they wouldn't accept defaced bank statements! Handsoff I think you should be ok especially if your statements show payments being paid back but they seem to nit pick on everything! If your bills are in your name that does effectively show you're on your own n yes if your son applied for a loan using your address it would have flagged up. No you're not allowed a life as far as they're concerned. I don't have a life since they stopped my money,I'm getting deeper into debt they don't care!

ciaraDon · 01/06/2015 23:42

We are all here for you Morgan , really hope its sorted for you soon.

Kittykat60 · 02/06/2015 07:32

We'll I'm not sending them any more bank statements, lol, they ll probably say mine are defaced as well Morgan. The thing is we are sending them bank statements with a sort code, account number and on some of mine there was an international bank code, if this isn't asking for trouble if they are lost or in the wrong hands I don't know what is. They can whistle for anymore!( think it's the angry head today, lol)

babyalan13 · 02/06/2015 07:39

If they stop the tax credits can be go to the dole office and claim something else!!!?

Morgan97 · 02/06/2015 07:47

babyalan I have one child, they stopped both child and working tax credit as they don't believe I'm single which I am,I'm going mad trying to juggle everything,I keep researching this and researching that trying to find different things I can send them. Surely it's up to them to prove I'm not single!!! Kitty you do make smile angry head ha ha like I said in an earlier post they change the rules on an hourly basis I think lol
