Has anyone else gotten more of the shooty cervix pains? This is over 10 weeks after surgery and they are back Hmm

Pettylamby · 04/02/2021 01:15

@AMS19 yeah exactly! I never really had excitement when I was pregnant, just nerves, but I'm so ready to be there again and hopefully have a better outcome!

@TheHotelCalifornia I'm back to running and regular exercise, taking vit D, folic acid and ubiquinol 400mg. I bought enough Opks, clearblue digital pregnancy tests and FRERs to sink a small ship so I'm good to go! Also bought DP wellman vitamins much to his displeasure! 😂

AMS19 · 04/02/2021 06:27

Ha @Pettylamby forgot I also got the hubby wellman tablets too! Also I need one this cycle. He is such a drama queen with taking them, and they are half the size of my Ubiquinol ones which I have to take twice a day! Well done on the running too. I'm doing weight resistant workouts at the moment but definitely need to up my cardio. Plan to restart couch to 5k when the weather is better in March

@TheDaydreamBelievers the only time I've had it is when I think I ovulated (or tried to ovulate as I still had positive tests). Maybe you're about to ovulate too?

Good morning everyone!

Hope we are all doing better. It’s so empowering to read people taking control of their fertility. Miscarriage is such a helpless thing that to control what we can is such a positive step.

Summersun001 · 04/02/2021 08:54

Good Morning Ladies! Yes I agree with @ it is great to see and really turns a negative into a positive. I don’t think this month is the one for us, but it will happen eventually! I’ll also be tracking with OPKs. So fingers crossed ladies. Xx

Summersun001 · 04/02/2021 08:54

Sorry @Ralala I was supposed to tag you in the above! X

glowingtwig · 04/02/2021 10:27

Thanks @Scottishskifun I need to be better at getting off my phone. And I'll try the app. I just want this awful swimmy feeling in my head to go away, it's terrible.

@Neady1980 I'm sorry to read your story, you must have been devastated to lose the baby at 8 weeks after going through that and getting pregnant. But it definitely shows that you can do it... I think at 40 we just need to set our eyes on the end goal. It's so hard though.

@SuzieDeLaTour I hadn't really thought about it like that so I probably do need to be a bit kinder to myself. I just want to feel normal again. I think I'm making myself feel worse by putting pressure on myself every month. Maybe I'll feel better and more in control when I've had the special blood tests for the recurrent miscarriage clinic.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 04/02/2021 13:10

I definitely feel my mood is improving. I've gotten back into exercise and I feel a bit more able to do my work etc. I even found myself joking with my husband about names we will call our future kid - no wayyy I could do that a month ago!

Ralala · 04/02/2021 13:48

I’m definitely better now than I was last week. I’m due back to work next week. I will have been off for 3 weeks. First week in and out of hospital and generally physically unwell with miscarriage and second week a exhausted but more so from the
Emotional side. I just don’t know how I feel about work next week. I feel like I have absolutely moved in the right direction but I’m still lacking concentration, brain feels doggy at times and generally feel very anxious. I’m eating fine but my sleep is awful. I can’t switch off at night. Everything races through my head. I feel like if I could sleep then everything else would be ok.

Husband thinks I should go back to work and while an incredibly stressful job and demanding job he thinks it will be good for
Me. I do agree but worry I can’t cope with it. I also feel embarrassed that I’m not back to normal just yet and worry if I ask my
Gp for more time off they will think I’m at it. My work haven’t been hugely supportive either.

I think 3 weeks should be enough for
Me to get back to work.

Sorry I’m mind dumping here

AMS19 · 04/02/2021 15:22

@Ralala I've personally found work helpful as a distraction most of the time. But other times I feel like I want to shut off again. I am so busy I havent had much time to think about everything which is good. Only you know when you're ready. Could you do a phased return? Easing back in mighthelp you get the right balance and take the pressure off somewhat

Hi Everyone!

It's been three weeks since surgical management. I got a negative pregnancy test back today which I was relieved about.

I've started on a diet, stopped snacking, increased my water intake and have been doing 30 mins of HIIT each day.

The good news is the headaches have finally stopped!

TMI -Now that I've had a negative and have stopped bleeding is it safe to DTD? I wasn't paying attention when the said at the hospital Blush.

Not sure if we'll try again. Being the wrong side of 40 I'm not sure I want to go through the heartbreak again.

Hope you are all keeping well

Xx

TheDaydreamBelievers · 04/02/2021 15:42

Yup @Enola41 - safe to DTD as soon as have stopped bleeding, as long as you feel well and happy to do so.

Applecrumble24 · 04/02/2021 15:53

Hi all
I've been lurking a while since my mmc and surgery on the 21st Jan.
Haven't waited for AF before TCC, it just kind of happened.
My question is, do you think it's possible to ovulate on cd9 if I count cd1 as surgery day? Opk was positive... or would this be hcg still in system messing up opk? Still faint positive on preg test. Not sure if you can ovulate then?

Support thread for those experiencing or recently experienced a MC/MMC - Thread 2. ALL welcome!
Ralala · 04/02/2021 17:03

@Enola41 - we were told ok to DTD once bleeding had stopped or slowed down to spotting.

Thanks @AMS19. Work was incredibly stressful before I had the miscarriage and my case holding hasn’t been touched since I went off. My boss has called me sometimes 3 times per day asking me to do some work and I know I’m walking back into madness. I have had colleagues call me in tears to the point that I had to turn my phone off as I was feeling so stressed. My boss then got annoyed as he couldn’t see what the issue was when I was just off to get my head together..... like I said , not supportive. I’m not sure a phased return would work but would be beneficial. I might call my GP tomorrow and have a chat. The closer going back to work comes the more anxious I feel again.

Ralala · 04/02/2021 17:07

@Applecrumble24 absolutely can ovulate on day 9 after miscarriage. I follow a instamum (sorry!) and she miscarried and ovulated on day 9 and fell pregnant so it does actually happen! I’m not using OPKs and I’m cd18. I don’t think I have ovulated yet but my body is definitely trying to do something .

Jam291 · 04/02/2021 17:31

Can anyone answer this ? I’ve been testing daily (sometimes bi-daily) and the last few days the IC have been very faint.
I’ve just gone back to check this one I done at 4pm today and it’s gone a lot darker again?! Hmm

Very weird, I stopped bleeding about 6 days ago, I’m about two weeks post MC?

Ralala · 04/02/2021 17:45

@Jam291 I have no idea other than maybe it was read after the time limit? I’m sure those say read within 5minutes so perhaps just the way that one dried ?
My EPU said to test 3 weeks after miscarriage and if positive then to call them. How long ago was your miscarriage? Are you after 3 weeks?

Ralala · 04/02/2021 17:46

Sorry just read you are 2 weeks. I would leave it another week and if still positive I would call epu again x

Jam291 · 04/02/2021 17:48

@Ralala I’m two weeks (just) post MC had a scan and was told everything had passed. I’m just wondering if it’s an IC dud .... it was read after the 10 mins advised just odd as last ones have been super faint .
Xx

Applecrumble24 · 04/02/2021 17:55

Thanks @Ralala
Goodness, your work sounds incredibly stressful. Maybe the gp will sign you off a bit longer 🤞

wag1987 · 04/02/2021 20:14

I'm reading all comments and all the information is useful as I'm sure I have all this to come. I'm only 1 day post D&C and obviously wanting body to go back to normal. Is it best to wait for first period (whenever that will be) before TTC? I heard you can ovulate 2 weeks after MC but obv not supposed to DTD for 2 weeks after surgery.

AMS19 · 04/02/2021 20:35

@wag1987 it's a total person choice if you wait. We didn't and started trying 2 weeks after MVA, but didn't fall and my "period" started Monday. I say period, but it's more on and off spotting. There is no medical reason not to try. It may make dating the pregnancy harder but they will just scan you to get an idea. So if you feel mentally ready you can

OP posts:
wag1987 · 04/02/2021 20:41

@AMS19 ok thank you. Feels strange waiting for body to go back to normal
And then waiting for a negative test and starting process all again. Sorry you didn't fall this time but fingers crossed for you x

TheDaydreamBelievers · 04/02/2021 20:53

@wag1987 you must wait until you stop bleeding so no infection risk, then it's best to wait until a negative test so you can tell when it's a new oregnancy
