Hi ladies! Our last thread was automatically closed (again) because we reached the 1,000 post limit (twice!). I was hoping we would be able to start a new thread called First Pregnancy Post-MMC, but unfortunately we are not all quite there yet (BUT some of us are!! congrats!!!). I know we will all be pregnant someday soon and that this will end up being a lucky thread! In the meantime, I hope you will all join me as we continue on this journey together. You have all been an invaluable source of inspiration, support, and kindness for me and I want to thank you for making me feel less alone in this. This thread and the ladies on it have been a source of inspiration for me, which is why I created this blog to help other women find information and support after miscarriage: mcandbeyond.weebly.com/

About me, for any newcomers: 31 years old, first pregnancy ended in an MMC in February at 12 weeks (baby passed at nine), D&C the next day, found out five weeks later that it was a partial molar pregnancy and had follow-up with CX hospital until mid-May. Second early MC in April (we weren't supposed to be getting pregnant because of the molar, but didn't know about it at the time). Now TTC again nearly four months after the first MMC and so so ready for a baby!

@bananamonkey I guess I'm in the 9% who don't get a peak until 10 + or the 1 % who don't get a peak 😞. Your chart is looking great! Xx

sadtoday21 · 01/06/2019 11:20

@bananamonkey yea, I know I cannot hold out past 10 dpo, I just feel the frer can pick it up by then. You are nearly there, so I'd probably test if I were you. I can't really tell anything from these charts! bof. Mine is attached, it doesn't mean much to me.

Here's hoping for a bfp for you soon!! Xxx

@sadtoday21 don’t give up hope!

@Catconfusion have you always had longer cycles? It looks like you’ve covered a good area of your cycle in terms of BDing so fingers crossed even if the opk missed O you’ve got all bases covered throughout the month.

Hoping I don’t get flashing smileys for too long. Would love to see a peak so I can have an idea of when AF is coming. I’m cycle day 23 now and so used to 28 day cycles so this is an unusual wait for a period for me. Just staying healthy tho and keeping super chilled!

Catconfusion · 01/06/2019 12:16

@Kiki061190 yes they have always been long and irregular. I have a history of pcos but my blood tests are always normal. It's so difficult with ttc not knowing when O will come. By the time it does I'm exhausted physically and mentally. Just hoping it's not too long. Xx

Kiki061190 · 01/06/2019 12:16

@bananamonkey thanks so much! I’m just happy to see a flashy smile, hoping my body is kicking back into normality!

Kiki061190 · 01/06/2019 12:19

@Catconfusion that must be so hard to deal with! The whole TTC process is quite draining. I’ve seen so many people around me falling pregnant and announcing and I almost feel like when we do fall again i won’t be able to enjoy it until I know everything is safe. It’s hard but I’m glad we’ve got each other here to vent to!

Catconfusion · 01/06/2019 15:13

@Kiki061190 it really is. I think it's hard after loss because it feels like my body is failing. I am thankful I do ovulate on my own as I know some ladies don't. It's just very elusive and hard to keep morale up as the days go by.

It's really sad that mc takes the enjoyment out of pregnancy. I think mmc makes it worse because we've all got further than those early stages when you wouldn't expect to lose. It just feels like anything can go wrong.

You're right though, it's good to have each other on those days when it's tough and there's loads of announcements or we feel like we're not moving forwards. Xx

Hi lovely ladies, sorry for the long silence I had a bit of a phone disaster and couldn't remember my mumsnet password! Got a new phone and back online now.

How is everyone doing? @Catconfusion @sadtoday21 Thanks so much for asking after me. Hope you're both ok.

I've been having a bit of a break from temping and just trying to have a bit of normal time. Was away for a long weekend last weekend and it was lovely to have some time not thinking about things. I can honestly say it's the first time I've gone almost a whole weekend without thinking about it! I had completely convinced myself this month wasn't our month so have just been enjoying myself. This morning I have realised AF is 2 days late... Just been and stocked up on tests and will do one in the morning. All of a sudden I'm feeling very nervous! xxx

Kiki061190 · 01/06/2019 18:03

@3204ECL that is exciting that’s AF is late! I think letting your mind have a break from thinking about TTC makes things better. Fingers crossed for you tomorrow!

@Catconfusion my friend has PCOS and she doesn’t ovulate. She’s young but she is already thinking about if she will have any TTC issues.

I find a lot of my close friends who know about my mmc are quite fascinated, all of a sudden they realise there is this whole other world to fertility with opks and temping! Some of them have been asking me questions.

I have a work colleague who has just has her second mc so I find speaking to her also has been helping. She’s a tracking pro! We’re both crossing our fingers for good news before Xmas!

Catconfusion · 01/06/2019 18:25

Oh wow @3204ECL good luck for when you test. I admire your ability to have a weekend off thinking about it. I'm sure it's helped immensely. Xx

@Kiki061190 your poor friend. The doctor won't diagnose pcos because although I've had cysts showing on scans years ago they were gone in my mc scan. There's also no hormone imbalance showing in my blood. I've seen an endocrinologist and she couldn't explain why I have irregular periods. It's likely very mild pco and not the full syndrome. I am lucky but it's such a pain trying to figure out when my fertile time is. I'm trying to get better at not freaking out when I get false ovulations but it's tough! Xx

3204ECL · 01/06/2019 18:29

Thanks @Catconfusion @Kiki061190 I caved and did a test... I feeling a bit all over the place to be honest. DH isn't home for a few hours so no idea what I'm going to do with myself! Maybe a walk! xxx

That's amazing news @3204ECL I'm so pleased for you. I'm sure DH will be over the moon when he gets home! Please keep updating us on how you are! Xx

Kiki061190 · 01/06/2019 18:44

Omg @3204ECL how amazing!!!! So happy for you 💗💗💗💗

3204ECL · 01/06/2019 18:48

Thanks @Catconfusion @Kiki061190 I won't lie I'm a bit all over the place. I cried a lot when I saw the result and am feeling very nervous. I'll be 4 weeks on Monday 😬 xxx

Catconfusion · 01/06/2019 18:53

@3204ECL Just take it one day at a time. Today you are pregnant and that's all that matters. You have very little control over what happens in the future. Xx

Kiki061190 · 01/06/2019 18:58

@3204ECL totally natural to feel nervous but such an exciting time! How many cycles has it been since you mc?

3204ECL · 01/06/2019 19:05

@Kiki061190 I've had 3 cycles since MMC. How many have you had? Where are you in your cycle? xxx

Kiki061190 · 01/06/2019 19:17

@3204ECL three is quick! So chuffed for you 💗

I’m only cycle day 23 after mmc so still waiting on O so I can get AF ☺️ Been temping and got a flashy on the digital opk today so fingers crosed for a peak and AF in a couple of weeks so I can start TTC again.

3204ECL · 01/06/2019 19:21

Fingers crossed for you @Kiki061190 it took a while for me to get my first AF after MMC and my first cycle was a bit strange but then they were pretty much back to normal for the 2 after that. Really hope O is confirmed for you soon and then AF arrives soon after xxx

bananamonkey · 01/06/2019 19:37

Amazing news for you @3204ECL, congratulations Flowers

Kiki061190 · 01/06/2019 19:45

@3204ECL Thanks so much! I only came off my pill early March and had a positive test 3.5 weeks later. Me and OH were so shocked as we hadn’t started trying yet! I feel more educated and well prepared this time around, hadn’t even thought about O before!

SunStruck · 01/06/2019 21:05

@3204ECL oh my god I'm so happy for you!!! 😄😄😄 amazing news and I'm sure giving a lot of people here hope! Especially me xxx

Amanda81 · 01/06/2019 21:17

3204ECL · 02/06/2019 08:42
