Hi ladies! Our last thread was automatically closed (again) because we reached the 1,000 post limit (twice!). I was hoping we would be able to start a new thread called First Pregnancy Post-MMC, but unfortunately we are not all quite there yet (BUT some of us are!! congrats!!!). I know we will all be pregnant someday soon and that this will end up being a lucky thread! In the meantime, I hope you will all join me as we continue on this journey together. You have all been an invaluable source of inspiration, support, and kindness for me and I want to thank you for making me feel less alone in this. This thread and the ladies on it have been a source of inspiration for me, which is why I created this blog to help other women find information and support after miscarriage: mcandbeyond.weebly.com/

About me, for any newcomers: 31 years old, first pregnancy ended in an MMC in February at 12 weeks (baby passed at nine), D&C the next day, found out five weeks later that it was a partial molar pregnancy and had follow-up with CX hospital until mid-May. Second early MC in April (we weren't supposed to be getting pregnant because of the molar, but didn't know about it at the time). Now TTC again nearly four months after the first MMC and so so ready for a baby!

Thanks for the response guys, I had a scan today and will wait as there's still a few blood clots and lining does not look 💯 yet. On the positive side is that I'm ovulating, and hopefully everything should come out with my period in 2 weeks time!

❤️

Kiki061190 · 01/07/2019 11:31

Hi ladies!

@SunStruck I think when a mc happens we naturally want to get preggers as soon as possible again. It’ll happen for you!

@Catconfusion I’m glad you had a good bday!

I had a temp dip today ladies and lots of cramping so assuming O will be happening! I usually O cycle day 15. Hoping I’m right back to a 28 day cycle post mc, everything seems as it was before.

@Catconfusion I had regular 35 day cycles till I went on the pill aged 19, which I stayed on for years as I have skin issues, then came off to TTC and had 3 x 60 day cycles till we conceived DD. I thought it was just because I’d been on contraception for so long. I took the pill again for nearly 2 years before TTC this time and I had 2 x 28 day cycles before conceiving again 3rd time. I don’t know what to think anymore, feels like it’s all a bit out of control but obsessing and overthinking it isn’t great for my mental health.

Catconfusion · 01/07/2019 11:56

@bananamonkey I’ve heard the pill can bring on pcos symptoms: anovulatory cycles, hormone imbalances and irregular periods. Do you know if there’s any family history of irregular cycles? It’s most likely a reaction to the mcs. Your body has been through a lot. It’s worth seeing your doctor if it continues to get some hormone blood tests. I do hope your body gets back to normal soon. Long cycles are the worst when ttc. It’s the not knowing what to expect that gets me. It could be quick or take weeks so difficult to plan dtd. Xx

zoomies1 · 01/07/2019 12:17

Hi All, how is everyone doing?

Sorry to see yet more new faces here but I hope you get the support you need.

@catconfusion I’m so glad you had a lovely birthday. If anyone deserves it, you do!

To those still waiting for first AF, mine was at least 53 days after the ERPC so as hard as it is, you just have to wait..,...

I am once again frustrated. I don’t believe you get many symptoms during the two week wait and I was trying to ignore the voices in my head saying my boobs were bigger, I’ve been more emotional and I felt sick. Temps are lower than I think they should be generally but still above the cover line and yet AF seems to have started. Didn’t think that was the way it worked. This temping lark is madness! I think I just have to accept that since the MMC I now have PMS. It is making me very unpleasant to be around.

Had a lovely few days away in the Lake District raising money for charity with some work peeps. Had a blast. Returned to the news that my aunt was dying from the stomach cancer that she hadn’t told anyone about. She passed away this morning and I am so much more upset than I even thought I would be. Sitting in my car at work trying to stop crying. I can’t do anything to help them right now and I still have work to do.

SunStruck · 01/07/2019 14:24

@Catconfusion Happy birthday! 😄 sorry missed. Hope you had a great one and good to hear you're in good spirits! ❤️

bananamonkey · 01/07/2019 18:29

I’m so sorry for your loss @zoomies1, how are you doing now?

Thanks for mentioning it @Catconfusion I used a cheapy OPK and it came up with a peak reading on the Femometer app and I’ve now had some significant EWCM which I did think was missing last week so maybe this is it now? Haven’t DTD since Thurs so hoping I haven’t missed the window now Hmm

zoomies1 · 01/07/2019 21:44

@bananamonkey thanks for asking. I’m doing ok. I’m just surprised at how sad I feel. In saying that, we are a large and reasonably close family and it really came out of the blue. I can only offer support to her son now. I just wish she had told us but she made her decision for a reason. I can’t help but think that PMS is making everything feel overwhelming.

BabyPending · 02/07/2019 07:41

@zoomies1 I am so sorry to hear this on top of everything else you have been through. You are stronger than you think, just keep going you are doing a great job.

Ladies I hope the rest of your are doing okay - the sun definitely makes the days a little easier.

I am 2 weeks 1 day since my D&C and I know I mentioned I had slightly worse ovulation pain after my first miscarriage but this is something else! I'm starting to get a little worried it's just on my left side, stabbing pain especially when I walk. Last night the pain shot up my left side to my rib area only briefly but the constant stabbing by my left ovary continues this morning. I don't remember it being just on my left side - has anyone had this before? Maybe my body is trying to ovulate but it's not happening :( it literally feels like someone is twisting a knife whenever I move it feels like something is trapped if that makes sense? My ride side feels as normal as anything!!

Maybe I'm overthinking things.. xx

Kiki061190 · 02/07/2019 07:41

Good morning ladies! How are we all today?

Massive temp rise today so hoping that means O happened yesterday! Will see what temp tomorrow brings!

Catconfusion · 02/07/2019 09:51

Thanks @zoomies1 and @SunStruck. xx

I hope this is it for you @Kiki061190 xx

@bananamonkey this could well be it now hopefully. Our bodies are miraculous as pulling an O out of the bag sometimes when we least expect it. xx

@BabyPending that sort of pain sounds very familiar. I had an anovulatory cycle last time and the pain as my body tried to ovulate was immense. Certainly something I'm noticing more after the mc. I was convinced it was a cyst. Luckily my body realised I wasn't going to ovulate and spotting turned into AF so the pain disappeared. I'm not so worried now because I'm sure a cyst would still be painful. Anyway see how you get on but see a doctor if you're not coping with the pain just in case. xx

BabyPending · 02/07/2019 18:06

@Catconfusion ah phew glad I'm not the only one! I was googling and thought it was a cyst too. I will keep an eye on my temps, I hope it's not anovulatory. Not that we are trying this month but it will make me obsess so much over my temps next month in case it happens again!

Thanks xx

Catconfusion · 02/07/2019 18:48

@BabyPending I hope it’s not anovulatory too. If it is though it would explain the pain and be absolutely understandable. I think sometimes the body needs to reset itself. I’ve felt much better so far this cycle and am just glad AF came and my body shut it down to start again. Good luck. Xx

sadtoday21 · 03/07/2019 13:02

Hi ladies! How is everyone doing today?

@zoomies1 I am so very sorry for your loss and I hope that you are doing a bit better today. Thinking of you xxx.

@Catconfusion hope your new cycle is off to a great start and that things go more smoothly this month! How are you feeling with the due date approaching? I think ours were both in August, so I have to say I am feeling pretty depressed that it is July now and we are still not pregnant! I really thought I would be by now...

@bananamonkey is your chart looking up now? Or is still in the pre-O range?

@Kiki061190 hope you had confirmation of O!

Well I am 9 dpo today and my chart, attached, is not really looking that positive anymore :(. I don't know, I think it looks just like a normal chart. I don't have any symptoms either, so I think I can safely assume that I am out this month. It was a long shot anyway. I'll test once tomorrow am and if its a clear bfn then I will just wait for AF to arrive hopefully sooner rather than later. I might also stop temping for awhile if its another bfn and try to just relax and enjoy the sunshine. Hugs to all!

@sadtoday21 your temperatures are still nice and high! See what tomorrow brings and if it’s a bfn then next month is your month. I completely understand how you feel about wanting to be expecting by the time your due date comes around!

So I’m thinking I’m currently 2dpo? I would always ovulate cycle day 15 pre mc so this is looking back to normal 😊

First Pregnancy Missed Miscarriage (Part III)
Catconfusion · 03/07/2019 13:24

Thanks @sadtoday. I’m cd 12 today and everything seems normal so not sure what will happen. Hopefully O will come this side of day 30. I’m using Ovusense but not looking at my chart so hopefully this will help with the stress. I’d definitely leave the temping completely if I had a normal cycle. Definitely not doing opks. The Ovusense fertility nurse said dtd every three days is fine in her opinion since I know DH doesn’t have male factor issues. We’re just keeping it nice and chilled this time.

I’m feeling ok about the due date thanks. I thought I’d have a meltdown about it on my birthday but I was nice and chilled. It was never the plan to be ttc my first child in my 40s but that’s where I am. I can’t do anything about what’s happened or bring back what we lost. As much as I’ve needed to grieve I’m sure my mental state in the last few months hasn’t helped our chances so I’m just focusing on embracing each day and getting my life back on track. Like you I am really sad I’m not pregnant again yet and I also thought it would happen quick. We’ve both done all we can though and I still think we’ll get some bfps on this thread very soon. I’m hoping we’ll be amongst the first ones. Xx

Catconfusion · 03/07/2019 13:25

Wow @Kiki061190 well done on the dtd. Looking like a good chart with clear ovulation. I hope this is it for you! Xx

Kiki061190 · 03/07/2019 13:54

@Catconfusion haha OH has been the one on a mission, I’m actually quite chilled about it and just happy to do temping. Hopefully tomorrow brings another high temp and confirmed O!

bananamonkey · 03/07/2019 14:26

I’m no expert but it’s still looking high to me @sadtoday21

My charts gone a bit crazy 😂 I think I actually ovulated yesterday and last week was my body trying but not quite making it, it’s a bit annoying as I’ve timed dtd wrong now but hopefully all will be a bit clearer in a few days. My dd was 18-August but trying not to dwell on it, I even snuggled a 4 week old at the weekend without getting upset. I’ve booked in a consultation for microblading to cheer myself up.

I think I need to work out how to only look at the temp data once a week as I find it stresses me out when it’s not what I want to see first thing in the morning. Also going to buy some pre-seed, probably a coincidence but it worked when we conceived dd after trying for 6 months so worth a try.

Kiki061190 · 03/07/2019 18:19

@bananamonkey that’s looking like a good temp spike! Fingers crossed you get O confirmed in a couple of days. I used pre seed this month! Fingers crossed it helps ♥️

BabyPending · 03/07/2019 18:50

What does pre seed do ladies? Xx

bananamonkey · 03/07/2019 19:26

It’s lube @BabyPending supposedly helps the sperm move along, may be just a con but thought it was worth a try!

Kiki061190 · 03/07/2019 19:27

@BabyPending pre seed is a lubricant which is meant to help the sperm a reach their destination a little better! I don’t get a lot of CM so have found this has been helping. It’s quite pricey tho! I’ve used it for around a week and going to use it next cycle too and see if it helps bring on a BFP.

BabyPending · 03/07/2019 19:39

@bananamonkey @Kiki061190 ahh interesting! Thank you I'm going to look into this too! It can't do any harm :) xx

sadtoday21 · 03/07/2019 19:52

@BabyPending actually I've researched this a bit and it can do harm...in the sense that preseed actually makes it harder for sperm to swim than your natural "wetness." If you are dry, then preseed is a good option because it doesn't kill sperm like other lube, but if you are not usually dry then it is better not to use it, according to clinical studies.

EPO is the best thing for helping you make more natural EWCM so you don't need lube - I had nine days of EWCM this month!
