Hi ladies! Our last thread was automatically closed (again) because we reached the 1,000 post limit (twice!). I was hoping we would be able to start a new thread called First Pregnancy Post-MMC, but unfortunately we are not all quite there yet (BUT some of us are!! congrats!!!). I know we will all be pregnant someday soon and that this will end up being a lucky thread! In the meantime, I hope you will all join me as we continue on this journey together. You have all been an invaluable source of inspiration, support, and kindness for me and I want to thank you for making me feel less alone in this. This thread and the ladies on it have been a source of inspiration for me, which is why I created this blog to help other women find information and support after miscarriage: mcandbeyond.weebly.com/

About me, for any newcomers: 31 years old, first pregnancy ended in an MMC in February at 12 weeks (baby passed at nine), D&C the next day, found out five weeks later that it was a partial molar pregnancy and had follow-up with CX hospital until mid-May. Second early MC in April (we weren't supposed to be getting pregnant because of the molar, but didn't know about it at the time). Now TTC again nearly four months after the first MMC and so so ready for a baby!

It's nice to read you ladies are feeling better about things and looking ahead! Can't wait until tomorrow is over :( so I can move on and start fresh, especially as the cramping is worsening I feel like it's imminent now and can't bare the thought of going through this naturally again.

On a lighter note, can I ask do you ladies temp orally or vajayjay-way..lol.

Also are you taking any vitamins apart from folic acid? I've kept that up but wondering if there's anything good for when trying to conceive. I know about wellwoman (used those when I started TTC).
@sadtoday21 told me about SmartyPants gummies so might give those a try!

We're in this together! Hugs xx

Kiki061190 · 16/06/2019 19:49

@BabyPending I always take my temp orally. I also take pre conception vitamins now, I was taking pregnacare until mmc but have switched now to their pre conception tablets. Hoping it helps as I’m seeing next month as my first time TTC since mc so hoping I’ll be in a good position to conceive again in the next couple of months!

zoomies1 · 17/06/2019 14:56

@BabyPending, sorry you are feeling like that. It's not a nice place to be. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

I take the pregnacare 'before' tablets and a Vitamin C & D combo tablet. Not heard of 'SmartyPants gummies' though. Will give those a google

I also temp and do it orally.

BabyPending · 17/06/2019 15:40

Thank you @zoomies1 it's all over, I can now move on and join you ladies on the TTC journey again.

I have read good reviews of the 'Seven Seas -trying for a baby' tablets so a couple of options to choose from until my AF arrives.

Thanks all Xx

bananamonkey · 17/06/2019 16:42

I’m sorry for your losses @BabyPending, hope you’re feeling ok today and take it easy for the next few days, be kind to yourself Flowers I feel all that resentment towards other too, it’s really hard not too when something this cruel happens through no fault of your own.

I take those Seven Seas ones, they are slightly cheaper than the pregnacare and easy to swallow. I also take high strength vitamin D, magnesium and evening primrose oil (up to ovulation). I’ve been temping orally for the first time these past couple of months and am getting on well with it, also used the CB digital OPKs although they’re too expensive long term I think. Temping and watching out for EWCM seems to be pretty accurate for me now.

Hope everyone had good weekends, nice to hear from you @zoomies1 x

bananamonkey · 17/06/2019 16:45

Good luck tomorrow @Amanda81 x

sadtoday21 · 17/06/2019 17:14

@BabyPending I'm so sorry for your losses and that you find yourself here with all of us, but welcome to the group! I really hope your d&c goes as smoothly as possible today and that you have a speedy recovery. I temp orally because I don't like the idea of vaginal temping really, but I think it's just a personal preference. Also wanted to let you know that sometimes I take the vitafusion prenatal gummies too - they are a bit cheaper as well. I just like gummies! But I do think the Omega and iron supplements are important too. Thinking of you today and wishing you the best xxx.

@Kiki061190 hope you are well! Has AF come yet? Sounds like you are recovering really quickly!

@Amanda81 did you have your 12 week scan yet? Hope you are doing ok xxx.

@Catconfusion it sounds like O is almost here! You have been so patient and I really hope its confirmed soon.

Well I have been away from the thread for a little while as I tried to work through some of my sadness over getting the BFN last month and DH not being home to hit the fertile window this month. I just felt like it was never going to happen for me and I hate that my due date is approaching in August. But in a way it has been really good for me to take a break from all things ttc - I haven't been temping either and DH and I have been dtd so much more often now that it is just for pleasure and not baby-making! I've also just caught up with friends and had some nice drinks and tried to relax. So I'm cd 10 now and DH is leaving in two days time, I don't think we can hit the fertile window but I did have some EWCM starting up a lot today! At least my cycles seem more regular now since the mmc. Anyway, I missed you guys and I hope everyone is well. Sending hugs!

Hi ladies!

How are we all today?

@sadtoday21 YES!!! My AF finally came today ♥️♥️♥️ I figured you were taking some time away, sounds like the break did you well!

@BabyPending so sorry for your loss! Each day is a new step on the TTC again journey ♥️

I’m excited to start TTC again this cycle, fingers crossed everything goes back to normal. AF came exactly 14 days after O which is standard for me pre pregnancy. I’m going to start my clear blue opks cycle day 11/12 ☺️

Amanda81 · 17/06/2019 17:58

Yey on the AF @Kiki061190 - amazing! New chapter ahead. Fresh new start x

Thanks for remembering @bananamonkey - I'm very nervous and just want tomorrow over and done with x

So good to hear from you @sadtoday21 - I'm pleased the break has been rewarding and has helped with the refocusing x

I had some fab news on Saturday... I got the harmony results back. I got an all clear on the three syndromes...and...it's a girl! So hope she has stuck around and continues to hang out in there. Feeling more and more like myself as the symptoms start to fade, but of course this raises the anxiety levels.

Hugs to all 🤗

Kiki061190 · 17/06/2019 18:13

@Amanda81 congratulations on your baby girl!!!!!!! I’m sure she will be super healthy and wriggling about for you tomorrow ♥️

3204ECL · 17/06/2019 18:37

@Amanda81 congratulations! A baby girl how exciting 💕 xxx

BabyPending · 17/06/2019 19:15

Thank you everyone for your kind words and wishes I feel like a bit of the weight has been lifted now I can move on, it's been a long 3 weeks! Bring on OV and AF!

@Amanda81 What lovely news I wish you the best for you and your girl xx

@sadtoday21 thank you for advice and wishes. So pleased to hear your cycles are more regular, that's a really good sign your body is on track! Xx

Ladies this has made us so much more stronger and resilient (although it doesn't feel it at times) we are going to be such appreciative and blessed parents! I'm also hoping it will even make me appreciate the sleepless night and tiny tantrums awaiting us!!

Xx

Kiki061190 · 18/06/2019 18:27

Day two of AF ladies, slightly lighter than my usual AF but apart from that all is normal. I usually get a 4 day AF so hoping my cycle goes back to 28 days!

@BabyPending how are you feeling today??

BabyPending · 18/06/2019 20:25

@Kiki061190 you're another day closer to your TTC window :) how was your first O? Mine was cripplingly painful after my first MC, hope it's different this time round!

I am doing okay thank you sweetie. MC side effects have eased today. I've been signed off work for a week so trying to keep occupied but I cant stop myself from constantly googling "success stories after 2 miscarriages"...I've also searched Facebook groups/pages and constantly check Instagram for rainbow baby posts. Feeling a bit silly but it does give me a little hope xx

Kiki061190 · 18/06/2019 20:45

@BabyPending how close were your two miscarriages? I actually have a colleague who is currently 11 weeks pregnant after 2 consecutive miscarriages! She just stayed positive and kept going and this one had stuck!

My first O I felt it on both the left and the right sides! It was just come cramp but felt ok. I’m excited to start TTC again, going to start the clear blue advanced opks next Friday which will be cycle day 12. Hopefully we can catch over the next couple of months.

MrsMGE · 18/06/2019 20:57

Joining in, Ladies, if I may...

I lost my baby last week (MMC; medical management) at 10 weeks although the baby passed away earlier on. I had an awful experience with misoprostol and was also badly let down by the EPAU. So overall, felt rather traumatised by the whole experience.

Today though, I feel really on the up, both physically and mentally. Although I am not back to what used to be my "normal" and probably will never be, I feel more in control now. Just hoping I won't have to have a procedure and that my AF arrives fairly swiftly so we can start again. I can't actually believe I am saying this, if you asked me 2 weeks ago I never wanted to try again. But I guess I really, really would like to have a baby next to me and I can't let this dream go. Crazy stuff. Just really, really hoping for the best 🤞

Lots of love to you all, you're not alone in this ❤️

BabyPending · 18/06/2019 21:00

@Kiki061190 my first MC was 31/12/2018 (not a happy new year for us). I fell pregnant on the third cycle of trying afterwards which was quicker than the first time I fell pregnant (took us 5 months first time) Hope it's third time lucky for us.

Hope it happens quickly, I'm crossing everything for you this month!!

BabyPending · 18/06/2019 21:05

Hi @MrsMGE I am so sorry you are here with this news :( we have a similar story although I went for surgical management. So sorry you had a bad experience, hopefully you won't go through this again! Might not feel it now but you are stronger after all this, you got this!!

Welcome to the TTC journey, there's a few of us here! Sending luck your way, hugs xx

MrsMGE · 18/06/2019 21:15

Hi @BabyPending, thank you for your kind words Smile

I didn't want to go with misoprostol but the wait for the surgery was so long (2 weeks) was so long that I felt I didn't have a choice. It's done now, I am not sure I'd do that again, in fact I now think this may have been the worst option. But I survived. We all have. Onwards and upwards, never forgetting & forever loving our babies ❤️

Kiki061190 · 18/06/2019 21:36

@MrsMGE I’m so sorry you’re medical management wasn’t a positive experience! I had the same procedure and thankfully it was pretty smooth sailing. I got AF finally yesterday 38 days post mmc. I hope this comes quickly for you and please don’t let it put you off TTC again! Was this your first pregnancy?

@BabyPending thank you so much! Fingers crossed ♥️ We’re off on holiday the beginning of September so we’re hoping we’ll have good news for then!

MrsMGE · 18/06/2019 21:57

Hi @Kiki061190 Smile Thank you for your kind words. Yes, it was my first pregnancy, very much wanted. Life can be cruel sometimes.

sadtoday21 · 19/06/2019 06:36

@Amanda81 how did the scan go? Massive congrats on finding out it’s a baby girl - that’s amazing! Xxx

@Catconfusion any luck on the O front yet? Thinking of you!!

@AnnaMC214 I really hope you are doing ok and have some answers now. Wishing you the best possible recovery 🤗.

@3204ECL how are you feeling these days with the new pregnancy? Hope you are well!

@BabyPending I hope you are recovering ok - it’s so terrible that you had two consecutive mmcs and it must have been awful to have the first after five months of trying. I really hope the third time is your lucky time!!

@MrsMGE I’m so sorry you find yourself here, but welcome to the group! I had a similar experience to you with my first pregnancy- also mmc at 12 week scan. It’s so heartbreaking when it’s your first time too, but you have a really great attitude about it. Thinking of you xxx.

@Kiki061190 yay for AF and onto the next cycle! I hope it’s a lucky one!! 🍀

Well I’m on cd12 today and very pleased with myself for getting a mornjng bd session in super early before DH caught his plane. I still don’t think we can catch the egg this month but at least there is a small very small chance now if I O early enough. I’m scared to temp tbh because I’ll be so disappointed if it is a late O and DH is gone the whole fertile week😔. We have done a lot of bding and I have had EWCM the past three days, so who knows really. I just can’t bring myself to track this month after the sad bfn last month. It just takes so whole long! I feel like the only thing I want is to be pregnant again but I know that’s not a healthy way to live. Trying to move on but still get down sometimes about the whole mmc and how unfair it all is. Anyway, I’m just going to assume I’m out this month and hope for better next month!

Morning all

Sorry not to post yesterday, when i came home from the scan I was exhausted and fell straight into bed and slept for 5 hours. I then woke up with a headache which got worse when I looked at my screens. Anyway been wide awake now for a couple of hours and see that @sadtoday21 is starting the day off! Well done on the bd @sadtoday21 - I hope you o in the next couple of days...or even today (that would be nice). The scan went well. I have an EDD of 27th Dec...seems like such a long time away!

So sorry to hear your news @BabyPending - I've also had two losses, the first a MMC with the heart stopping at 10+1 and a mc at 5+5. It's absolutely devastating and I feel your pain. I caught straight away after the last mc and so far I have made it to 12+5 and all looks to be progressing well. I don't feel out of the woods yet, but quietly hoping for the future. So not a success story yet...but hoping to be one.

I hope everyone else is doing okay xx

P.s. I won't post a scan photo as this may be triggering for some.

Catconfusion · 19/06/2019 06:54

Hey @sadtoday21 you have such a good attitude to your DH going away and it sounds to me you’re in with a really good chance. Very wise not to temp and just go with the flow. I hope you’ve got lots to keep yourself busy until you can test.

So I’m pretty fed up today and feel like I have no idea what my body is doing. I’m cd 41 now and until last night I thought I’d ovulated after a peak Opk on Saturday and two consecutive rises. We were even getting excited about being able to test near my birthday and talking about what a lovely present it would be to get a bfp. Anyway last night I started spotting. I never spot during my cycle so it was really confusing. This morning my temp is down and I’m getting some cramps like AF is coming 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ovusense is now saying I possibly ovulated yesterday and FF has popped up saying it was Sunday as I expected. I’m so confused and disheartened. The spotting has stopped but I’m not sure what is going on. I’m taking Inositol to regulate my cycles but now I’m worried it’s making things worse. Just fed up today of living on this rollercoaster and I’m now 6 weeks on with no definite O. Xx

@sadtoday21 well done for getting the BD in this morning and massive fingers crossed o comes soon for you. Hope you can find some peace in not tracking I know it helped me in my last cycle. When is DH back from his trip?

I'm doing well thanks, I'm now 6+2 and have an early scan on Friday. I'm still extremely anxious but having good days as well as bad which is making it bearable. I had a wedding at the weekend which was a lovely distraction and managed to hide not drinking like a pro thanks to DH and another friend being in on the secret!

@Amanda81 so glad the scan went well. How are you feeling now you've made it to 12 weeks?

Hope everyone else is doing ok xxx
