And as well - I am pregnant again. Just tested got a BFP, after nearly fainting & nearly throwing up in the supermarket.

Fingers crossed, but it's very early days, 1.5 weeks post-ovulation at most. So we are not getting excited or even seeing the GP/midwife until past 6 weeks this time.

AnnieHoo · 13/03/2016 15:31

I hope you find some answers magnificat, maybe a recurrent miscarriage forum or miscarriage association forum could help if nobody on here knows.

How did you get on at your appointment annaif?

FraggleRock77 · 14/03/2016 15:18

Any update Annaif?

magnificatAnimaMea · 15/03/2016 04:10

Fraggle she updated on one of the other threads Smile

FraggleRock77 · 15/03/2016 06:19

Thanks. Do you know which one?

FraggleRock77 · 15/03/2016 20:02

Well i thought i would update the thread with my latest fertility expenditure! We have now had 18 bottles of blood taken. Some are being sent off to the USA for testing and some have already been tested. I have been told that i have a score of 3 for my thyroid and they would prefer to have a score of under 2.5 before doing the FET. So I'm starting on thyroxin for four weeks. It will also take four weeks for some tests to arrive back. Going to hold off on going to Coventry. Anyone else had thyroid issues?

magnificatAnimaMea · 15/03/2016 21:12

Fraggle it was the "Is Shehata the right choice" one

FraggleRock77 · 16/03/2016 06:53

Thanks Mag. How are you doing? Congrats as well x

magnificatAnimaMea · 16/03/2016 08:55

Thanks. Currently have the flu so feel like death. Not sure if that is a good sign, flu symptoms are meant to be from your immune system working hard, but the cellular (as opposed to humoral) part of the immune system is meant to be turned down a lot in pregnancy.

4+1 ish today, so another 2 weeks before I'm going to jinx things by calling the midwife.

annaif · 22/03/2016 15:24

hi everyone,

Sorry I have been on/off the thread, I did write about my Coventry visit on the other thread that magnificatAnimaMea pointed out.... having said that, I ended up getting my period 2 days after the Coventry scratch so bollocks to that, I either mixed up my dates or ovulated much earlier than normal so not sure how accurate my results will be in the end.

Following my tour around RMC clinics (!) I went to dr S ysd to discuss my NK results.

Not sure what to think about them, they were not straight forward in any way (they never are though)
Emphasis was put on how bad a state my thyroid is in, with soaring antibodies and very high TSH (though I've been on thyroxine since Jan' but we have now doubled my dose as it didn't seem to do anything). Was also confirmed to have Hashimoto's auto immune hypothyroidism which is a condition I'm going to have to deal with for life so not happy about that at all....
We were told not to ttc before my thyroid is sorted and once the TSH drops very significantly from what it is now, I was told to follow his complex NK cells treatment plan, with pred, intralipids, aspirin etc. I have normal NKs when not pregnant but quite high in a pregnancy state of being....
He doesn't seem to believe in heparin (no clotting found in my testing) or progesterone but they were both prescribed to me by the Coventry clinic so I would take the initiative to add them to the mix (btw magnificat was asking about Clexane supply? I will hold on to my boxes for the time being in case I need them but if not, welcome to have them!!)

My DH is very concerned about the use of steroids, he's worried that I'd be subjecting myself to all this without any good result, he's afraid of long term side effects to mother+child, he's also conscious of the overall cost of it all from pre-conception to (hopefully) delivery.... so I can't really jump the gun and enforce anything on us.

I am slightly overwhelmed and shell shocked by it all so not making any decisions one way or another yet. And since I can't do anything apart from focusing on my thyroid for the time being, I will just stick my head in the sand for the foreseeable future.
It's just a shame that if the Coventry scratch does give a window of increased fertility for about 3ish months, I won't benefit from it due to the ttc ban I have been put on because of the thyroid issues....

Just a combination of Confused Hmm and Sad bleurgh

Goldensquirrel78 · 22/03/2016 22:14

Hi guys. Im new here. I had an ERPC 4 weeks on Friday. I have been coping well up to now. Today I felt quite sad. I am confused as to when I will ovulate. I am keen to TTC as soon as. My GP told me my HCG level yest was 13. I still havent had a period.
Any help would be welcomed.

ThePopAndCry · 29/03/2016 16:22

Hi goldensquirrel. Have just seen that you posted on here a few days ago and haven't had a response. Many of the ladies who were on this thread are now part of a private Facebook group so it's gone a bit quiet.
I am sorry to hear of your recent loss. It must be an extremely sad time for you. Sorry to ask, but is this your first miscarriage?
Re ttc: gp's and early pregnancy units advise to wait until you've had one period post-miscarriage before trying again. This is because it helps them date your next pregnancy should you conceive straight away. However, it's a personal thing so if you do want to try straight away, could you use ovulation predictor sticks to help with timing?
Hope you are resting and looking after yourself. X

fourleafclover82 · 29/03/2016 16:39

Hi golden squirrel. Sorry to find you in this thread. As popandcry says most of us have all migrated to the fb page. Let us know if you would like to join. It's a closed group and you will find lots of support from all the lovely ladies. Just pm me your fb username and pic description and we can get you added to the list.

If it's only been 4 weeks since your miscarriage then it can take a while for your body to regulate and hormones etc to settle. I had an ERPC 6 weeks ago and haven't had a proper period as yet.

Of course though you an use the opk to see when you ovulate to increase your chances for conceiving again.

Take care xx

AnnieHoo · 31/03/2016 21:05

Hi again

I've just found out I'm pregnant again for fifth time after 4 consecutive mc's. I'm 42 and don't have any children.

I'm probably about 4 weeks+2. I wish I was on a protocol now! Should've gone to Coventry. Taking 75mg aspirin. I did a Clearblue digital today and it said 2-3 weeks but urine test at GP's was very faint. He sent blood off to test HCG so ill get result tomorrow and then do another test next week and refer me to consultant next week depending on results.

Bit worried because he said there was blood in my urine sample.

Don't feel too hopeful..... Keeping it together though.

How are you getting on magnificat?

magnificatAnimaMea · 01/04/2016 00:46

Hi Annie - fingers crossed for you! Wouldn't worry about blood in urine sample too much - if your pee wasn't rosé pink then it won't have been very much blood.
Urine tests on GP strips at 3 weeks ish are usually incredibly faint.

I am still pregnant, 6+3, bHCG has increased from 220 two weeks ago, to 3100 a week ago to 30,800 today, so things seem to be on the right track for the moment.

AnnieHoo · 01/04/2016 16:30

Fingers crossed for you magnificat I hope so much it works out for you. Great that you've got to this stage.

I'm waiting by the phone trying to guess what the HCG level will be. I think it will be in the hundreds possibly 120, just enough to read 2-3 weeks on clear blue yesterday but not enough to show a decent line. I actually think the line on the internet cheapie I did this morning was less strong so it's diminishing already and fast. That's what I have in my head and it's good to protect myself from crashing disappointment. Feel a little cramps too and boobs not as sore as I'd like.

A better result would be HCG in the 10000 area Just doesn't feel like that at all. Will find out soon.
Won't get too sad. Will just deal with it.

AnnieHoo · 01/04/2016 18:10

Well it's 305. Gp said that was normal. No comfort really - I forgot that it's best to just forget about it altogether!

magnificatAnimaMea · 02/04/2016 04:27

Annie 305 sounds fine! Mine was bang in the middle of the reference range, 220 at 4+3, so if you are about 3 weeks then 305 is a bit higher than mine and is totally fine. At about 5 weeks, something in the 1000s is in the middle of the reference range, and at about 6 weeks something in the 10,000s is - so don't worry about not being up to 10,000 at 3 weeks!

Keep in mind every pregnancy is different. At 3-ish weeks you might not have any symptoms - my boobs aren't sore or sensitive at all (just huge), and I haven't started feeling noticeably sick and headachy/ crampy until the last few days.

Lucinda15 · 02/04/2016 08:26

Hello everyone, I'm new here and looking for some advice. Just had my 3rd miscarriage and gp initially sent my referral to my local rmc but I'd had mixed reviews of it. After doing a bit of research I asked the GP to refer me to st.marys London and I'm waiting for my appt in about 7-8 weeks hopefully.

However, I'm wondering if it's possible to still go ahead with the referral at my local rmc in the meantime, and have any tests that they want to do. If so, does anyone know if I can take the results of these to my appt at st.mary's? I understand that st.marys may want to do certain tests my local rmc may not offer, but im just wondering if I can save a bit of time perhaps in having some standard test results available by the time I get to st.marys.

Thanks.

magnificatAnimaMea · 02/04/2016 08:50

There are people on here with much more relevant experience than I have (I used to live in the UK and the NHS may well have totally changed in the last 6 years) but it probably would save a bit of time if you go ahead with your local referral first.

You might discover that they're willing to keep you on and follow whatever St Mary's suggests down the line, particularly if you don't live in London.

(feel free to shoot me down on this- i could be wrong - i was lucky enough to live 5km from a massive NHS tertiary teaching hospital so I never had the small local vs. good big hospital issue...)

magnificatAnimaMea · 02/04/2016 08:52

sorry - posted too quickly - yes, you can take test results with you (assuming you have access to the results) from one hospital to another. A test (of the sort likely to be done here) should be done the same way in all NHS labs; or if not, there should be enough info available to know how it differs from one lab to another and what has already been done in your case.

AnnieHoo · 02/04/2016 09:29

Hi magnificat thank you so much for taking the time to respond, I really appreciate the support.

What I causes my uncertainty is that I'm 5 weeks gestational age. But Clearblue goes from conception so it's 2-3 since conception.

I think 305 is low for 5 weeks. The GP actually said it was normal to high but I think he's got it wrong, as you say it should be in the 1000's.

My LMP was 22/2/16 and my cycle is about 32 days on av.

I need to distract myself from this, it is what it is. I'll just have to deal with whatever I'm given.

Lucinda15 · 02/04/2016 09:52

Thanks magnificat good to hear this should be possible. I just wasn't sure if I would be allowed to be 'under' two rmc at the same time!! The wait list for each is pretty much the same, but I understand my local rmc will send me blood test forms/test requests in the post to get done while I'm waiting for the consultation. So that the results are already available at first appt. and I thought that might be a really good idea so that I can also use them when I got to st.mary's. It's all a bit confusing at stage.

Would I be able to join the Facebook group for some more advice if needed? I pm'd fourleaf but no response yet.

Thanks again Flowers

proudmom135 · 02/04/2016 11:58

Hello mums,

I wonder if miscarriage and abortion have the same effect/process? My friend had her abortion because she was too young to conceive that time. Currently, she's now 27 years old and wanted to have a baby but the problem is, she's afraid because of the traumatic experience she did to her body.

Anyone knows how will I tell her?

Thanks

Smile
AnnieHoo · 02/04/2016 12:24

Hi proudmum you sound like a good support for your friend. You're probably better posting this in "pregnancy choices" under Body and Soul instead as there will be more people reading it who have experienced abortion. I can't offer any advice I'm afraid.
