minnie UGH, I feel your pain. So disheartening. Give yourself some time to process. hugs

sasha I also get small patches of ezcema as well as IBS, so the immune stuff really chimes for me. I am hoping that my diet changes will make the difference. In my last pregnancy my IBS was horrific, and it's hard not to think that that may have had an impact. One of my acupuncturists (!!) works for Zita West and she recommended diet change.

Cheesy !!! Exciting!

MrsD glad all was well, great news.

onestep hope they are helpful this morning.

Minnie74 · 16/06/2015 07:40

freckle while I'd love it to be me I think you meant cheesy Wink

Thanks everyone I will retest at the weekend if af doesn't turn up but already feeling crampy so shouldn't be waiting too long I don't think. Just fed up as yesterday seemed to be the local baby group- I'm on my second child- discussion group on Facebook. Sorry for being a downer again x

TomCat81 · 16/06/2015 08:40

I'm in the Oxford club too One step! Hello sun and MrsC Smile Tori and Linda are brilliant. I must have spent a whole week of my life there this year despite only having 2 mcs. It's also where they scanned me at 6 weeks (due to spotting) found a hb and told me all was fine, but then I mc'd just a few hours later, so I have mixed feelings about the epu.

Anyway, the bfp news is a bit of a shocker onestep - really hoping it's the best news possible for you. Great that you're getting yourself seen to straightaway. Fingers crossed.

Been reading the IBS / stress/ mc stories in earnest - I've never had IBS but am a v anxious person and have had panic attacks in the past. I was also a teacher (EFL if that counts!), considered carrying on with it but it was wrecking me with the constant exhaustion and anxiety. I also frequently get a nervous tummy about the strangest things. If I get a bfp this month I plan to spend as much time as possible in bed, and as little as possible at work!

I have a new thing to stress about this morning. According to my pre-mcs 39 day cycle, I was due to ov later this week/next weekend, but have just done a clearblue (one of the expensive dual hormone thingies) and it gave me a smiley, and not a flashing one either, which apparently means peak fertility. Two days ago I did one of my old Boots tests but no line, so I left it yesterday. Now feeling stupid and wishing I'd tested yesterday too. Also, we only dtd Thurs and Sun and I feel like we might have missed the boat this month. If we dtd tonight, will that be too late?

Also, how normal is it that my cycle length would change post-mc? I ov'd early when we conceived in March too, so could they have got shorter? The only afs I've had this year have been the post-mc cycle. I'm a bit useless at all this actively ttc stuff because we've never had to try that hard... so I need your knowledge ladies!!

Marchgirl · 16/06/2015 08:52

I've definitely felt my cycles have changed post mc tom, but then I've also been trying to make them shorter / more normal with acupuncture, so for me, its a good thing, but yes,it can change them. You're still in with a chance if you dtd tonight I think, you might not actually ovulate til 12 to 36 hours after the surge, plus Sunday's will be ready and waiting, so think you have a good shot

Sorry about the bfn minnie. Still time though. I'd give it until at least 12dpo.

Good luck for the scan onestep. Hope it's good news for you. Would they start you on the heparin straight away if it's in the right place?

Yay cheesy!

sebsmummy1 · 16/06/2015 09:24

My cycles changed after DS to be honest. I bf for a year and then when I started TTC I realised they were totally haywire, acupuncture has sorted them out, my acupuncturist is a total angel.

Hope onestep is ok, I know the shock of seeing a BFP after a standard period, but in my case the line never darkened.

Well my discharge seems to be getting worse not better. Had a big glob of dark brown stringy stuff. Not what you want to be seeing to put your mind at rest, but I'm doing everything I can with the Cylogest and Chinese herbs etc, really going to have to leave it in the lap of the gods.

Frecklefire · 16/06/2015 09:44

Oh minnie** please forgive me, i'm getting my yorkshire contingent mixed up. I am sooooooo tired today. Had my results yesterday and as suspected everything was negative. I feel (like most of you) that that really means 'inconclusive'. I think a big part of my brain has been focusing on these results because today i feel like i've been hit by a truck. I could sleep for three weeks. I'm at work and thank god i've got two pp lessons first thing because i can barely string a sentence together. Im also reading 'it begins with the egg, which is a lot to take in (and i'm wondering how logistically practicle).

Marchgirl · 16/06/2015 10:07

Sorry about the negative results freckle. They try to put a positive spin on it when they say everything is 'normal', but It's really not much comfort, is it, to know that whatever is causing it, they don't know about it yet! The tiredness couldn't be something else could it? A late entry into the bfp club?

Sorry you're having more discharge sebs Sad this journey is a fucking nightmare isn't it?

I am the only one in work today until 2, so I called the employee assistance program to see if I could access some counselling. Basically ended up having a bit of a break down on the phone and the poor woman ended up doing breathing techniques to calm me down. Oops. When I finally did calm down, I asked about counselling and she said I'd be best to call back in a few days when the immediate crisis had passed to arrange it. Not sure whether it's some kind of test to make sure I'm really serious Hmm

CheesyMash · 16/06/2015 10:11

Thanks ladies. Just willing this one to be ok. Going to try and stay positive but not get attached Hmm. And also take one day at a time.

It's weird but yesterday I finally felt able to put my memory box away with my precious scan pic from mc1. Gave the pic a little kiss then placed it back in the box and put it in the wardrobe. There was a little teddy in the box which I left out and put next to some pics of rainbows at iguazu falls where we went a few years back. Don't know why I'm telling you this, think I just needed to get it out as it was a big step for me to put that box out of sight.

freckle I'm sorry you haven't got any answers. There seems to be mixed feelings either way whether results are normal or not but I think both are hard to deal with. Hugs.

sebs really hope this brown stuff buggers off and leaves you alone.

onestep did you say you had the biopsy done before your last 'period'? (Sorry can't go back to check on phone) I'm wondering if you could have been pg whilst having this done and therefore the bleed is directly from the scratch and not a 'period'... Sorry if I've got it wrong! Hoping you get a scan soon and that everything's ok.

CheesyMash · 16/06/2015 10:14

That doesn't sound very helpful march to make you call back, grrrrr! May be a long shot but does the hospital have a counsellor you could call (a specific one for mc)?

OneStep2015 · 16/06/2015 10:20

Hi all, well firstly can I say what a brilliant, lovely team at John Radcliffe EPU. Was booked in a reception by 8am. Walked round to EPU waiting room which was light and airy with music on, nothing like my experiences at Stoke Mandeville. 08:30, first patient didn't turn up, so my notes were taken by the nurse and then asked to go straight to sonographer. Scan was over by 09:05. Then straight in to see the Dr, who was very informative and then out for Progesterone and hog blood test, out the door by 10am.

For me again it's a case of Pregnant but not pregnant. Nothing seen in the uterus. Living was a bit thinner than normal, corpus luteum seen with tiny tiny bit of free fluid. Everyone mega confused, but obviously very cautious to monitor for ectopic. What is wrong with my body. Pregnancy test again was clear positive this morning at the hospital. Will receive call back re bloods tomorrow morning and take it from there...

Thanks all so much for your support, so greatly appreciated. Xx

Catlover2014 · 16/06/2015 10:21

Hi ladies, just a little update to say my contractions started last night and I passed some mucus type stuff in the night. The pains were quite well spaced, only short and have pretty much stopped now but I'm hoping my boy might finally be on his way. Any advice on how to get things moving faster is welcome! X

girliesaints · 16/06/2015 10:24

Ooh how exciting cat! I was told bouncing on my exercise ball helped with contractions or going for a walk. Good luck x

bythesea82 · 16/06/2015 10:27

Ahh best get this posted fast or there will be 12 more pages! Hope I have everyone…

sebs keeping fingers crossed for you, HCG levels sound good…..
Good luck for Friday.

littlebear yey for getting the dress, glad you chose it.

barking your poor dad, I am so sorry he’s had such a shitty time of it in the last few week and I am sorry you’re not closer for a visit.

brummie you are at such a horrible time with the waiting, hugs to you. I remember feeling the same, just vulnerable and wanting to stay close to home. Not like me at all!

march glad you have booked some time off and also glad your GP was supportive, takes some pressure off – sounds like you have a good ‘un! Sorry that it’s all horrible for you at the moment, def push for that counselling.

mrsD just to say it again – woohoo Grin

girlie welcome back, glad you managed to have a break and some laughing. Sometimes getting away is so important I think, just helps to break the thought cycles a little bit.

onestep how confusing. I hope everything becomes clearer but glad that you had a good experience with EPU this morning and they will keep an eye on you.

inamay you sound like you are being very calm and doing some nice things to remember but hope you are ok Flowers

Cheesy Grin Grin
Onestep, sorry your scan was inconclusive, but glad the JR team looked after you.
Cat, good luck. Rotate your hips clockwise to help the baby move into the best position (think 'unscrewing' yourself Hmm Wink ), and ask at every stage of possible intervention, what are the options at this point? what if we wait 20 mins/an hour? what if we do/don't do x, what leads on from that decision/intervention? I'm not saying don't do as your told, but these are questions worth asking or getting your birth partner to ask. Will it be your dh, with his leg? Good lick and we await exciting news! xx

Justonemoretime · 16/06/2015 10:31

good LUCK, even!
Don't know where my emoticons have gone?!

sebsmummy1 · 16/06/2015 10:32

Cat Grin how exciting!!!'

onestep I'm so sorry it wasn't better news. I'm glad they are monitoring your for ectopic. I wonder if your HCG is on the way down and your period was a very early miscarriage? Is that even possible?
