Wow Brummie! Fantastic news!Smile

Marchgirl · 12/06/2015 11:25

I would agree that with all these apps, they are useful for recording data but sometimes you just have to make your own mind up how to interpret it. I think a spreadsheet with a graph function would probably be just as good (although not as convenient as an app!)

Brummie! Fantastic news!! So relieved for you seeing a heartbeat!

Brummiegirl15 · 12/06/2015 11:37

Thanks all. I'm still nervous as saw a heartbeat last time and still lost but hoping the magic drugs will help!!

The pharmacy at Worcester took bloody ages to give me my clexane and then I had up go back to EPAU so they could show me how to inject - and shite signal in the hospital

twilightstruggle · 12/06/2015 11:43

Thanks for the thoughts last night folks - just suddenly had a down, anxious, panicky evening for no apparent reason. CD1 today so perhaps that's it. Though more in a psychological way as it represents getting 'back in the saddle' and trying again. 6th time lucky?! Feel weary.

I have however been cheered up by this mornings good news. Lovely to hear good news Brummie and Sun.

Sorry you're having a rough time though March. Hugs. X

Justonemoretime · 12/06/2015 11:45

Brummie, "shite signal in the hospital..." are you sure you're not at Stoke Mandeville?Wink Or is it a feature of NHS EPUs? x

Justonemoretime · 12/06/2015 11:47

March, hope you get a clearer answer soon. Limbo is horrible. Sad

twilightstruggle · 12/06/2015 11:48

Gah - just re-read my post and realised I sound like a misery guts! I am fine - it's just one of those little slumps we all get from time to time!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 12/06/2015 11:51

Quick de lurk to say massive congratulations to Sun and Brummie on having good scans. Long may the success on this thread continue. Since I joined it feels like there have been lots of successes, which gives me hope for the future. Still not ready to accept a life without a third child but not sure as to how much longer I will feel that way as just feeling rather down about it all. I have a scan booked in a couple of weeks at Worcester to see if any signs of PCOS, and I think I am likely to ovulate a few days to a week after the scan. Does anyone know re a PCOS scan will they tell you there and then if they can see anything. And if there is clear signs of it, what they would do as a result, as am wondering if it would mean not ttc that month as a result as no idea what the treatment is if there is anything detected? Sorry for waffling, my brains over thinking everything at the moment...

CheesyMash · 12/06/2015 11:52

That's brilliant news sun and brummie, I'm so pleased for you both!! Grin loving freckles anxious chocolate eating too! Grin

march sorry for the headfuck. A line is a line so I'm willing that blood to be implantation or something else unrelated. I thought it would be less likely to have a chemical on progesterone as it wouldn't let the attachment get that far...? Thinking if you x

freckle hoping you get a positive when you test, fx x

I use 'clue' app which isn't bad, fairly accurate and easy to use. Los it has funny icons for 'withdrawal' and 'protected' intercourse, he he.

I'm currently 5dpo so looks like a few of us in tww, minnie, flower Sasha The only 'symptom' I have is sore boobs but from what I've read it's normal to get them after ovulation anyway.

bakingtins · 12/06/2015 12:02

sun and brummie thrilled for both of you!

longestlurkerever · 12/06/2015 12:06

I thought I had written a post earlier today but it seems to have vanished. Just wanted to send a big wooohooooo to brummie, jady and Sun. Fantastic news all round.

Hopeful hand hold to March. What a headfuck. Everything crossed for good news. Hugs to freckle too.

flen did you get anywhere with your gp re fertility testing?

Tanny good luck with the potty training. We had an absolute mare with dd1 and poo. Turned into a real issue. She is mostly there now, only just in time for school starting, and the relief is immense.

All good here. She is feeding well and even slept well the last three nights. Not expecting it to last but enjoying it while it does. Dd1 is at nursery today so am enjoying guilt free cuddles.

BunnyMad · 12/06/2015 12:13

Massive congrats to you Brummie, so pleased for you Grin

Thank you March, Jady, Flower, Just, Seb* and Cheesy for your advice. I think i might have a look at the Ovia,Ovuview and Clue apps just for comparison. Really just want to have a wee bit more info so I can compare when I think I am ovulating to when it says I am. Also, it will help me (i am hoping) see if I have regular cycles. Not worried about missing my most fertile period as we tend to dtd regularly anyway.

Aww Longest, you sound like you are having a lovely relaxing time with your wee bundle of joy. Enjoy every minute of it grin

Hip hip hooray sun and brummie.

march hugs. It's just not fair. Why can't anything be straight forward. Hand holding here.

OneStep2015 · 12/06/2015 12:56

I use the Ovia app, didn't look at any other apps, just went for this one. The americanisms in the text in the 'Tip of the day' are irritating though...

cloudjumper · 12/06/2015 13:07

twilight Don't worry about being grumpy and sharing your misery here! That's what we are here for Smile

shasha I used the One Step cheapie OPK tests, and I always found that the test line would never ever get as dark as the control line. So for me, if there was a second line, I took that as a positive. Sometimes, the line might change within a couple of hours, so if you get one, it might be worth re-testing the same day. Evenings are better than mornings because the ov hormones are produced when you're awake (never understood how that worked, though, as with the Clearblue monitor, you have to use fmu).

I'm a big fan of the FF app, never used any other. But I think that with any app, you have to look at it with a grain of salt when interpreting the output. If anything, they make you more aware of what is going on with your body, which I reckon is a good thing.

Urgh, I am swamped with work, no idea how I'm going to finish this all today!

girliesaints · 12/06/2015 13:35

Brummie & Sun, glad to hear scans went well.... And breath (for the moment ??)

Oh March, you lovely lady. Hope it's not what you fear but you know we're here for you x

Just arrived at mini break and off to outdoor pool as currently 32 (in England!) before the rain later!

girliesaints · 12/06/2015 13:36

Longest, glad to hear you've settled at home well ...small whispers let the sleeping continue)

bootles · 12/06/2015 13:54

Quick stop to say great news brummie !!! X

CheesyMash · 12/06/2015 14:01

Hope you have a lovely holiday girlie, enjoy the sun x

texta · 12/06/2015 14:02

yes yes Pop on try and see what happens! can't hurt! just ordered some wobenzyn to try. when first started taking supplements I thought i’d be ttc-ing soon enough but now i’ve been on them six months and still not able to ttc so have no idea if anything’s working (except for having fluoro wee, super strong finger nails and long thick hair like a teenager). Fyi only i followed the link for that Welsh clinic that does the private prescriptions and according to their website they do hysteroscopies for £400…which is a tiny fraction of the price I was quoted in london (i.e. £3.5k-7k) so not sure how legit it is or if i read it wrong?! but might be of interest..

also...thank you march for the heparin info, have book marked for (hopefully) later :)

Congrats jady, sun and brummie on your event-less scans. What a relief!

Sasha interested to hearing more about your drips! i’ve read some stuff about them on various rpl blogs on FF, many people seem have success.

i use ovia and lady timer. the latter is pretty low budget but somehow like it more than ovia although i just used to keep track of AF, ovulation and BDing. also recommend the wondfro (sp?) opks and preg tests, although never had a problem with onestep (except for light preg positivies) and but i'm lucky enough to get big surges. I test in the morning and in the afternoon (after getting home from work) as they’re the only times can hold in wee for four hours. ovulation sticks don’t work for everyone – two friends never got smileys but managed to conceive. i used to keep smileys on hand in case of unsure results (sometimes they're cheap on amazon but usually with near best-before dates). all bought for cheaps on amazon). Also for ttc, i like SMEP altho some people hate it and it’s too hard if you travel for work…

texta · 12/06/2015 14:06

sorry i am v behind... march hopefully you'll get a clearer result tomorrow...it's all so tormenting, up and down...fingers crossed for you

mrsdiddlydoo · 12/06/2015 14:28

Quick question... Has anyone who has been taking progesterone during pregnancy start spotting when they reduced the dose or stopped taking it. Not sure if its a coincidence... And by spotting I'm exaggerating. Bit pink/red when I wipe. Have cut down to 200mg a day this week.

cloudjumper · 12/06/2015 14:41

diddly I didn't get any spotting during weaning off time when I used it in my previous pregnancy. However, I think that this could really be a withdrawal effect. Might be worth mentioning it to your midwife, if it persists or gets stronger.
