Thanks ladies! Cat that article was v interesting and I started to write a big 'ol 'rant' about feeling guilty all the time... But then I thought that rather than ranting on here I would just start being more open with people in RL who keep asking when DS will get a sibling, and tell them what it's really like to lose babies.... Maybe that would remove some of the misconceptions about miscarriage and make it less of a taboo...
Ooh getting off my soapbox now! Xx

Thanks Sasha he's almost 3, so if all goes to plan there will be just over 3.5 yrs... Not what I expected but will be working with it Wink x

Brummiegirl15 · 19/05/2015 17:28

Hi Sasha I was given 200 mg doses twice daily of progesterone.

You take clexane (which is heparin) from about 5/6 weeks pregnant after a location scan

bootles · 19/05/2015 17:32

Sorry posted too soon. Don't mean to sound like I am interrogating you march, what I meant was, I hope things are/or will, start to feel better soon.

brummie when are you testing? Such torture. I am an obsessive early tester which usually works for me, though there is some headf**ness involved.

longest how are you feeling? How long to go now? Is everything ready?

The line here is stronger, but i have used a different strength test than usual (less sensitive)- tend to use vast amounts of ic but ran out, found 3 for a quid ic in a chemist. I just feel sort of detached. I don't really see why this one would work but am thinking I may try positivity on for size. Even writing that feels dangerous.

Marchgirl · 19/05/2015 17:35

Great news erica Grin

bootles · 19/05/2015 17:36

Sorry erica didnt mean to leave you out! Good news!

sasha progesterone is a hormone that increases in pregnancy. As several of my mc's were missed, I don't think I am low in it, but Coventry like to prescribe as it 'drives the lining'. Heparin/clexane is used either to prevent clotting, or for its cytoprotective effect on placental cells. Cov prescribe routinely for the latter.

Marchgirl · 19/05/2015 17:43

Thanks bootles. Starting to feel a bit better and I hope think af will be here tomorrow. On the plus side this means that I will probably be back with dh before ov now. Feel a bit guilty about ranting on here about him. He really is lovely and tries to do what he thinks is best for me. It's just unfortunate that this doesn't match with what I know is best for me. Glad your line is getting stronger. Hope you can muster the positivity thing. That's what I'm going to aim for next time too.

bootles · 19/05/2015 17:52

march i'm sure your dh is lovely - no one is perfect. Don't feel badly, it's only that I/we could see your side of things.Lets face it, rmc is an absolute minefield for relationship strain and misunderstandings. My dp genuinely shocked me yesterday by guessing about the line (still hadn't told him - total head in sand) as I was drinking more rooibos tea and less normal tea! For him that's pretty good...!

Catlover2014 · 19/05/2015 17:55

Erica I tell everyone about my mcs these days. Amazing how many people say me too, or my sister too, or my best friend too! D'S being 3.5 will mean he can help with DC#2, lovely :)

ladies I met my maternity cover today and I break up next week on Friday. Doesn't feel real... Six years in the making and I'm still scared I will lose my baby. Can I trust my body to work out these last few yet vital weeks? It's been so rubbish in the past I'm not so sure Confused

Catlover2014 · 19/05/2015 17:58

bootles can't find your post. Is the line getting darker? Oooooooooh! Quietly excited for you Smile xxx

Brummiegirl15 · 19/05/2015 18:14

Cat you will get there. Kitten is putting it's hat and coat on as we speak xx

I really want to test now. Why the fuck did I not buy a test at the airport??!!!!!!

I know why, DP not here/too early/too scared

Not helping with the head fuck though

Catlover2014 · 19/05/2015 18:30

Hugs brummie the good thing is you'll know you're testing for a more true result and dh will be there. Got everything crossed for you! Thanks for being lovely and am sorry to moan. Mc has a way of staying with us I guess. X

Gosh this thread moves quickly. Im not familiar with everyones names and stories yet. Thank you to all who recommended Coventry, I plan to email tomorrow.
Catlover2014 thanks for posting that article, its very true about how I feel. Only 1 of my friends know Ive had 4 mcs. Another friend has just texted to say whats wrong as she hasnt seen me in over a week. I feel like telling her but at same time I dont. But may need her help tomorrow, so feel I shld tell her the truth. But how very exciting for you, just weeks away. Whats your due date?

Justonemoretime · 19/05/2015 19:07

Cat, you'll be fine. And, if you're anything like me, you'll be walking round for 4 days bra-less because you didn't want to jinx things by buying a nursing bra ahead of time. At 34k, that was a shocker all round! Shock Blush

Jady77 · 19/05/2015 19:33

Brilliant news Erica :)

Cat can't put it any better than Brummie, but you have every right to moan.

Bootles you is well and truly preggers by the sounds! All fingers crossed it stays that way for a good 9 months!

Sasha 400mg is from bfp. cyclogest is the brand. Clexane is 40mg and steroids 20mg.

Thank you all for your amazing information today. Hadn't realised that about suppressing symptoms. I checked with the private place and March You're right they don't scan until 7 weeks which is Sat for me. Going to call tomorrow and see if they're open Saturdays, if they can't do it until Monday I may as well wait until my app Thu. My previous losses have been at 6 weeks so 7 week scan would def help with this anxiety I think.

Sorry for any cross posts, started this before dinner.

Bubbly Hope you're doing OK and you're back home getting lots of rest.

Bubblybubbles80 · 19/05/2015 19:36

hello ladies, sorry i haven't caught up with messages but everything when smoothly today and it was much better than that of a medical management. was in at 7.15 and home by 3pm

they were really good when i was feeling cold i got heated blankets. they also took consent for karotyping. i also got a check up at 6 weeks with rmc. i will take the rest of this week off and then do part time next week half days 4 days.

Hugs bubbles I'm glad it went as well as these things can and that the ball is rolling on testing. Look after yourself.

erica congrats on a good scan Smile

bootles all sounding like a BFP rather than a tentative one. good luck!

cat you are on the home straight now. Not long to wait until your kitten is safely here.

Understandable to still be worrying cat, you've had such a long hard journey but you really are on the home straight now. Your litten kitten will be purring in yours arms before you know it.

sasha, progesterone is 200mg twice daily before bfp. Any more and it can act as a contraceptive for some people (although it didn't for me, as my last pg i was on 400mg twice daily, self medicating as i was only prescribed it from bfp and didn't know about the lower dose). Prof b said that after bfp I could up it to 400 twice daily if I wanted, but he seemed pretty ambivalent about it. I know others on here had the dose upped to 400s after spotting.

Good luck for everyone with scans tomorrow (I think girlie, confus3d and was there someone else? )

DH shouted at you, sasha or about the friend?? Totally understandable to be upset about it. My DH was so proud of himself when he waited a whole 2 days after MC4 to tell me my SIL was pregnant with no 3. Whoop whoop, empathy medal coming your way, DH! hope you are ok.

I was on cyclogest 400mg twice a day from CD 21 (or 7 DPO) until 12 weeks.

Marchgirl · 19/05/2015 19:48

Sorry bubbly. Started that before your post. Glad it went ok today and you can start to heal a little bit. Look after yourself and your dh, and get him to do the same. Lots of box sets and chocolate help x
