Barking, sorry you're full of cold, it really is horrid when you can't take anything. I've been advised that vapo-rub is OK, and I've also used a steaming cup type thing (looks a bit like a toddler's cup with a face mask on it) to help with the congestion. It was about £7 from Amazon. Try loads of pillows at night to elevate your head, too. Good luck and hope is eases soon.

AndCounting · 31/03/2015 07:58

Thank you all.

minnie agree with the others, it's OK to sit this one out. Some days you will feel strong enough for this but while it's daunting looking after yourself is important.

bythesea is your scan this week?

Interesting to read about the depression post -progesterone. I took progesterone before mc4 and that was the one where I crashed. I'm on it now as well. Hmm.

mrsdiddlydoo · 31/03/2015 08:00

mrsC was thinking about you yesterday. Terry p's world is the perfect place to be hiding. Dh is a big fan whereas my head is too busy to read these days. 22nd April isn't too far away. I'd be tempted to hang on if you can. Although I wish I was pregnant I'm realising how much my body has needed the break these last few months. Ttc is such a big drain on our energy. (Particularly Dhs this week Wink).

So we've covered cds 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17 this month. I'm not sure we'll manage again but tomorrow would be good. Got my strongest opks on 15 and 16 so sure I've ov around then. Quite proud typing that up. Last time we made such a concerted effort was on holiday with my parents in single beds and resulted in a bfp.

Thinking of you counting

And tiny

Today x

I always found with hormone crashes that they were much more bearable if I understood why they were happening. Then I could rationalise how I felt and know it would pass in a few days. Its much harder when you don't understand why you feel so low. When I understood the cause, it was much easier to 'put it aside' and carry on.

Flen · 31/03/2015 08:07

MrsDiddly that is very impressive! Excellent work!

MrsC I think wait if you can. Being pregnant is so depleting for the body before you even consider miscarrying. I know the NHS tend to recommend waiting for at least one cycle. Acupuncturists say three. It's been five since my last mc, and honestly, I only now feel vaguely strong enough to try (although we did try Jan and Feb, it sent me a bit doolally). I think going through the tests without the concern of possibly being pregnant is useful, not to mention possibly having treatment following the tests for the next pregnancy. But I say all that acknowledging that everyone is different and you have to decide what's right for you.

barking lots of nice hot lemon and honey, sometimes I stick cloves in it too. Take care of yourself.

I am back to the GP today because of (STILL) thrush. SIGH.

Thinking of you today counting and tiny.

AndCounting · 31/03/2015 08:18

Well done mrsd and mrd!

mrsc I hide in books too. I have read the whole Hornblower series since Christmas and I'll be gutted when I run out of those. Maybe it's time for a move to disc world because then I'll never run out!

AndCounting · 31/03/2015 08:20

Thanks again, everyone. X

cloudjumper · 31/03/2015 08:40

Good luck tiny and counting - will be thinking of you! xx

Catlover2014 · 31/03/2015 08:48

Hope today goes ok Just every week of extra cooking is good but your bambino will pick the right time to come.

Good luck for scan counting we're all here for you.

MrsC sounds like you've had a rocky time, hugs. You're being so brave and strong. Hope you are fully recovered from your operation soon. My advice would be to take sometime out and get yourself well before you embark again. It's a big operation that you've had.

Sorry to hear barking is under the weather. I am quite sure all this treatment and associated stress places strain on our bodies. Lots of hot drinks and bed rest for you.

MrsD that's a lot of sex! Wow! Well done woman haha!

Hugs to all of you xxxxx

tannyLoo · 31/03/2015 09:04

Tiny I've said it before, but you getting here makes me well up. We've been through so much together and it feels so "right" that you're here. Can't wait to hear all about teeny tiny xxx

Counting good luck today xxx

Floweroct · 31/03/2015 09:14

tiny can't believe the day is here so excited for you!

counting good luck today we'll all be in there with you

just hope you get on ok with the consultant

Brummiegirl15 · 31/03/2015 09:32

Good luck Tiny and Counting

Can't wait to see good news later

Interesting what everyone is saying about the progesterone. Is that when you stop taking it after a bfn and it crashes?

Good to know in advance!

Marchgirl · 31/03/2015 11:07

Yes brummie, a day or two after you come off it. and as someone else said, much easier to cope with the crash when you know why. (Wish i had!)

minnie, sorry about the baby bomb. I think you'd be best cancelling this one as it sounds more than anyone should have to handle, even if they are being considerate. Also, definitely chase that referral. The appt letter should come through fairly quickly even if you have to wait ages for the actual appt.

Just, hope you get your contingency plan sorted and you're able to make it along to that wedding

Barking, hope you're feeling better soon. Sure it is probably your body rebelling against the stress of the last few weeks, you've been through a lot. Take care of both of you x

Mrsc, hard though it is,I'm going to agree with the others to wait until after rmc appt. It will give your body a much needed break and allow you to go into the next pg knowing you're fully tested and done everything you can. Having said that, I know it's bloody hard to wait when your body is shouting to try again

Thinking if you and wishing you luck counting

Go tiny and teeny tiny!

Monten · 31/03/2015 11:39

Morning all. Loving the sound of those losing themselves in Terry Pratchett – like you though mrsdiddly I just cannot concentrate on books anymore. I used to be an avid reader and now just can’t concentrate long enough – my mind is too busy. Ever since this whole journey started, can’t be unrelated.

Sorry you’re feeling crap barking hope you are able to rest up.

Thinking of you today counting.

Sorry about the baby bomb Minnie. Sometimes it feels the world is out to get us and we’ll never get a break. This forum is a safe place to just vent away – you don’t need to censor your feelings here. You’re not a bad person for feeling that way either, life has dealt you a shitty hand and you can feel anyway about that you want.

That’s excellent shagging effort mrsdiddly!! I’m rather jealous – DP and I have managed twice. TBH I have been a little taken by surprise – my Ovia app says I am just entering fertile time but I had a temp rise this morning so think ovulation has been and gone on Sunday or Monday. My long luteal phase is confusing it I think. We DTD Saturday and Sunday so hopefully were quite well timed, if not quite as much as I would have hoped! This temping lark is cool Smile.

Simply cannot wait to hear your news tiny xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

sebsmummy1 · 31/03/2015 11:45

Waiting on everyone's news today Grin

Still light brown bleeding here so just stuck in a WTF cycle and nothing doing basically. Not good for the head Sad

jassS · 31/03/2015 13:55

barking, when I get a bfp I always have a cold in 2ww. Always. So maybe your cold is even a food sign? Immune system regulating down etc.....

TinyTear · 31/03/2015 15:06

I'm here! Alice was born at 10:55 today by elcs...

We are all fine but an interesting fact is apparently my insides are all a mess! The bladder was stuck the the womb which was stuck to etc etc etc...

When you are being stitched and hear the consultant say "I think I can fit this there" it's all a bit surreal :-)

She had a boob feed already

sebsmummy1 · 31/03/2015 15:10

Oh Tiny what a beautiful name. Huge congratulations from me and mine Grin

Just had a quick read pf thread on way into parents eve...
Minnie** i asked gp for a referral on thursday 5th of march, letter came through on thursday the 19th of march (dated 13th of march) for appointment on thursday april 2nd. Appointment is exactly 4 weeks since asking for referral (two months quicker than airedale...)

Frecklefire · 31/03/2015 15:36

Btw barking** - having crap immune system is def symptom of pregnancy. First three months with my ds i had 3 really bad colds too! Xxx
