sebs that sounds great, whatever it is! Maybe that is what they call the RMC? Or maybe it's additional support? Worth giving the EPU a ca to enquire, maybe?

TinyTear · 25/03/2015 20:05

I'd think it's for tissue results. Never heard of that before but seems like a good concept

Minnie74 · 25/03/2015 20:15

Thanks march and just that's really helpful. Hope they're not painful! Worth it though. Just have to get to Coventry now- I'm a bit ahead of myself!

brummie that sounds a lovely toast. I'm sure I'm not the only one who wishes they could be there to toast with you (and give you a hug!)

freckle it is a weird thing to think that we're all so close by and might even know the same people!

Minnie74 · 25/03/2015 20:18

sebs x post. That sounds really positive. 45 mins for an appointment must mean something useful will be shared. Waiting for my appointment here- can't come quick enough!

sebsmummy1 · 25/03/2015 22:33

I suspect this is the RMC as 45 mins is too long to talk about one result. I suspect I will get fobbed off and told at my age this goes with the territory etc etc. The bloody Quiet Room is the shitting place I got taken to when no heart beat was found and also pre-surgery. Oh joy I am going back there again to talk about dead babies some more. Good stuff.

bootles · 25/03/2015 22:45

Hello all, sorry to miss people, thinking of everyone.

counting already less than a week until your next scan, everything crossed x

just brilliant placenta moved up! Sorry you're in hospital though.

barking thinking of you a lot, it's a real insight for me, to see the way ivf progresses. Sorry you"re in so much pain. Am willing the embryos on!

tiny wow so exciting..and come round so fast! Though not for you I suspect. Not long now!

ThePopAndCry · 25/03/2015 22:51

brummie thought of you today. Here's to you. Wine

minnie freckle it would totally freak me out if we knew the same people! What would the chances be???

Justonemoretime · 26/03/2015 07:00

Morning Ladies, another night on the ward. Hope to be released today.
On an unrelated topic, I've been watching last nights bbc4 horizon on iPlayer and from about 37 mins there is a bit about blood nk cells. Its to do with immune response to physical and mental stress (he's just been whitewater rafting). Not fertility related, but a bit sciencey, and may be of peripheral interest.

Justonemoretime · 26/03/2015 07:13

goes on to look at coagulation, too. Gross, but interesting. Smile

bootles · 26/03/2015 07:45

just that is very interesting, I will check it out tonight. I know it wasn't fertility related, and that stress is treated more as a risk factor rather than a cause, but I can't help but think high levels of stress doesn't help matters.

So is your c-section definitely on the shelf for now? How many weeks are you now? Its so good the placenta has moved.

Jady77 · 26/03/2015 08:24

That does sound interesting Just will be checking it out later too. Fx you can go home today.

Can I get some opinions please? Sorry this will probably be long winded. I'm on cycle day 16, my 2nd cycle post ERPC so am trying to identify ovulation so I can make appointment at Coventry.

Been using Ovuview which last month though I ovulated CD19 and today has decided it thinks I ovulate CD12 due to temp rises.

Tried cheap OPKs and had a bit of a line CD12, but no line at all now. Started trying CBDH on CD14, (possibly too late in cycle). That's been giving me flashing smiley for 3 days now.
My cervix has been rising since CD12, got to highest position last night (CD15) and is now soft whereas it was low and firm still CD12.

So I have no idea if I have ovulated already or am about to! Before 3 temp rises my predicted Ov day was Saturday CD18. Not sure whether to phone Kerri or wait a few more days. Problem being that Ovuview is predicting AF to arrive in 5 days!

Justonemoretime · 26/03/2015 08:26

Yes, c-section seems to be off the table for now (from spending Tuesday night thinking I might be rushed in at any moment... I don't think I really was at that stage, but I did get a very stern and serious 'talk' from the consultant about preparing for worse case scenarios). Scan yesterday shows that the placenta is not the source of the bleed and has moved far enough away from the cervix that it is unlikely to be the cause of another one later. Just need to find out how much of a risk the shortened cervix really is, now, but everyone is a lot more relaxed about it than when they thought it was deteriorating pp. We are back in to see the consultant on Tuesday to discuss it further. In the meantime, just got to rest up (hopefully at home will be good enough). Baby has had two doses of steroids to assist lung development, just in case he/she comes early. Sorry to derail the thread. I know many of you are stuck in deeper and darker places than me at the moment. xx

Flen · 26/03/2015 08:40

jady I just hung on in there when I was getting confusing signals from my body about ovulation this month, and then I did get a positive result the day after I was just about going bonkers! I had emailed Kerri that day, but then was able to call her the next day and say "it's definitely positive now". It's so hard trying to work out what's going on isn't it?

Jady77 · 26/03/2015 08:42

Sorry crossed post Just, that all sounds very positive, you must be pretty relieved and hopefully more relaxed too.

Jady77 · 26/03/2015 08:46

It's a nightmare Flen! I'm pretty sure I used to get EWCM as well as getting horny when I ovulated previous to MCs. I might just call Kerrial and see if she'll make appointment based on CD. Would be next week anyway so will def have ovulated by then.

Floweroct · 26/03/2015 09:01

just glad the pp seems to have sorted itself and you can go home soon

barking keeping my fingers crossed for your embies - any news on how they are doing? Is it today or sat for et?

jady opks are a nightmare I use the cbdh ones and I've had flashing smileys for 5 days before I finally got a solid one! Maybe it's best to speak to kerri.

counting glad scan was encouraging

tiny can't believe you're so close to the finishing line :)

brummie glad you got through yesterday ok

cloudjumper · 26/03/2015 09:03

just Glad that things have settled down, and that your placenta has decided to move, how nice of her! Fingers crossed that you can go home and rest there - hospitals are not restful places!

jady Nothing more confusing than mixed signals from different ov-tracking methods, I feel for you! I have given up using the digital monitor for that reason... To me, it sounds as if both your temps and the cheapie OPK agreed on your ov date on CD12 or maybe 13. I don't know anything about cervix positions/consistency, so can't comment on that. I tend to go with the 'majority vote' of my tracking methods. If anything, the temps should be the most accurate method when trying to pin down a day (but I realise that this is the best-case-scenario, it doesn't always work like that).

Barking How are you feeling?!

barkingtreefrog · 26/03/2015 09:03

Quick update as I'm work (with paracetamol and a hot wheat bag clutched to me). 6 embryos still going but only 4 look ok, and of those 2 are stronger. They are hoping that one or two of the stronger two get to blastocyst on Saturday. Egg transfer is at 11 on Saturday, they'll call first thing Saturday morning to tell us what the embryos are looking like.

OP posts:
sebsmummy1 · 26/03/2015 09:22

Oh barking I really hope they two strongest ones stay strong and you can transfer successfully on Saturday. I have my heart in my mouth just reading your posts. Huge hand holds xx

Floweroct · 26/03/2015 09:25

Keeping my fingers crossed barking

Justonemoretime · 26/03/2015 09:28

Everything crossed for you, Barking. xx

Jady77 · 26/03/2015 09:31

Oh Barking what a nerve wracking time! I really hope they stay strong too and time flies until Sat morning.

Thank you all for your responses, I've now made Coventry appointment for next Thu which will put me at CD23 which should be optimum for lining thickness just before AF arrives. Quite excited now. Will get me out of some of the heavy lifting moving house next Thu too...bonus.

longestlurkerever · 26/03/2015 09:37

Barking - I think that sounds good? Blastocyst is optimal isn't it? Sorry if I am ignorant here. Fingers crossed.

Glad you're in a less stressful place now Just. I have heard those steroid injections sting like billyoh but it's reassuring to have them under your belt. How many weeks are you?

Brummie glad you were by the sea for your due date. It always feels like the right place to be for me. I still haven't done anything proper to mark my lost ones but now that things are looking good I might take a few moments when I am by the seaside next week to take a contemplative walk and have some private moments.

Jady I have never managed to get on with OPKs. I tend to track ovulation by ewcm (not every cycle), feeling hot and wanting to jump dh. Not the most scientific but it has worked reasonably OK. I think Kerri will probably book you in based on your cd if you have a regular cycle.

Marchgirl · 26/03/2015 09:59

That sounds really positive barking. Hopefully all 4 will be good enough to go, then you'll have some to freeze as well. Fingers crossed for you x

Hope you get out today just. That program sounds interesting. Might watch it while dh is out tonight.

Brummie, that sounds a nice way to remember. And Coventry tomorrow to look forward to. Best of luck for your appointment tomorrow and for yours too flen

Jady, that does sound confusing. I would normally say go on temps but your other signs sound like it is later. Anyway, at least you're booked in now. Busy busy Coventry

Babybomb at work yesterday but I'm actually not too bothered by it. Ended up having an hour long discussion with her and my other pregnant colleague about pregnancy and nct classes, which i couldn't have done a few weeks ago. Maybe I'm feeling a bit better.

Justonemoretime · 26/03/2015 10:22

Longest, thanks. Yes they f*cking sting!!! Glad to have had them in the bag, though. Had my anti-d, too.
