Information, support, hand holding, tea, sympathy and a hell of a lot of combined knowledge - all welcome as we try to make sense of the RMC roller coaster of tests, NHS admin, heart ache and (hopefully) happy endings!
Please start with a recap of your stats :)

Hi everyone. Still in hospital but now have wifi access at least. Faith is on shitloads of steroids and seems to be responding. She is having a heart scan today then we are going home to wait for MRI scan in 2 weeks. DH is completely destroyed by this, I'm a bit calmer. If nothing else RM makes you tough.

tiny glad to hear tinier is ok. Where can I get these fabled lucky socks?

longestlurkerever · 19/01/2015 13:42

Great news tiny!

Counting I approve of the optimism (Though I can live without twins!). Really good luck with your remaining tests.

Feeling a bit ropey today. Bit shaky and faint and am due to be in Parliament till after 10. Will need to sneak in a supply of sweets.

Flower29 · 19/01/2015 13:43

The lucky fox socks are out of stock, aarrggghh! News must have got out about them....Grin

bakingtins · 19/01/2015 13:44

cat good news Smile and brummie sorry about your little cat. We lost our dog hot on the heels of MC4 and it just felt like the final straw.

BettyButterchops · 19/01/2015 13:50

Good luck tiny... and thanks march. I hadn't said about bfp before as was convinced it wouldn't get very far and so I went into weird state of denial... Harmony has gone long way in terms of reassurance. monten the clinic is the natural fertility clinic. Although I've mcd 3 times, I have had luck with conceiving straight away for 3 pregs then within 4 months for 4th. This time it was 6 months. Not a huge amount, but I was panicking about that change and turning 40, and the prospect of ivf, increased risks etc. My gp sugggested waiting til new year then look at ivf referral. Googling for local fertility advice i found article I'll do a clumsy link to in a mo. I went along and the one thing that stuck was looking for signs you're about to ov.... much earlier than I thought and I was using the sensitive zoom baby test sticks. Followed her advice and few days later conceived. That's not to say would be same for others, but website has great testimonials. Sorry long post... 6 months worth in one. X hope link works www.scotsman.com/news/health/giving-nature-a-helping-hand-edinburgh-s-natural-fertility-clinic-1-471599

Thinking of you bakingtins x

TinyTear · 19/01/2015 14:19

Socks are M&S but it seems they are out of stock!

Baking I am glad Faith seems to be responding to meds... I hope it will be something that is easily treatable and she will grow out of...

BettyButterchops · 19/01/2015 14:29

baking x x x

twilightstruggle · 19/01/2015 14:53

Lovely to hear from you Baking and glad the situation appears to be improving. Thinking of you and sending hugs.

Brummie - I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. Another good example of life taking the absolute piss. Hugs to you too.

On the other side, fab news about positive scans.

Thanks all for the advice re. my meeting. I'm surprisingly nervous about it. My manager is lovely but the organisation as a whole is facing cuts so I worry about having a poor sick record. Do you want to know something sort of sad. I'm pregnant following four miscarriages but what kept me awake fretting last night was workHmm

Two days till scan. St Mary's people, assuming all goes well on Weds how often do they see you weeks 6-12?

twilightstruggle · 19/01/2015 14:56

Congratulations Betty!

Longest - sorry to hear you're feeling ropey. Though if you happen to bump into A Lansley in Parliament and feel a bit of sickness coming in please don't hold back! ??

TinyTear · 19/01/2015 14:56

twilight, they saw me at 6, 8 and 10, then discharged me to my local hospital for the 12w one

twilightstruggle · 19/01/2015 14:57

Thanks Tiny. I so badly hope I'm following down that route...

TinyTear · 19/01/2015 15:03

fingers crossed!

twilightstruggle · 19/01/2015 15:47

Also. What should I expect from the appointment? Is it longish with time to fret/be reassured or is it an 'in and out' quickly type of affair? Do you see Doc or sonographer? When do you get TEG results back?

Sorry for the barrage of questions. I'm determined to have a positive experience and part of that may be expectation management!

Catlover2014 · 19/01/2015 15:56

Great news Betty!!! How far along are you now? Lovely to hear of things that can and do still help those who are TTC!

Hugs to you Baking you are a total rock. I'm sure they will have your little one up and about soon but really sad to think of your DH so upset. The mcs will have taken a toll on him and now with this on top it's no wonder he is very emotional.

Good luck for scan Twilight, got everything crossed for good news!

Brummiegirl15 · 19/01/2015 16:25

Hugs to you Baking hope little Faith is fighting back

And yes it does feel like 2015 is taking the piss at the moment

cloudjumper · 19/01/2015 16:58

Great news Tiny, betty and cat*.

Hang in there, baking, sorry to hear that your DH is struggling, but please make sure you look after yourself, too.

Belleende · 19/01/2015 17:03

Hi all, Donut wriggling around. Maybe more of an afternoon than morning donut. I was in two minds about the Doppler, but boozle made me so it is all her fault.

baking great that faith is responding to the steroids, and if they are letting you take her home I am guessing that is good news. I hope the MR I gives some clarity about what is happening in her little brain. Kids are tougher than we realise. All the best to you and Mr baking.

Sorry about your cat brummie. Not the best timing and the second feline casualty on the board in as many weeks.

cat fab news, and betty

A few of you have mentioned 16 week mid wife appointment. I didn't have one. Is it standard and what happens?

Boozle80 · 19/01/2015 17:30

I'm taking full responsibility for the Doppler issue and all stresses it ensues - it is awesome though! I'm not getting obsessed I promise...

I'm thinking of you and Faith lots Baking. Life does throw the shit doesn't it?!
