Aww, shucks you guys. Only you know what it means to get this far, so thanks.

Flower sorry you're here, although we are a nice crowd, we'd rather be elsewhere really!

I echo what others have said. It is hard to step off the TTC bus for a while, but it can be restorative, and isn't exactly stepping off, as the testing is all working towards the same goal. My local NHS consultant saw me after my 4th MC (I got pg too quickly after 3rd to do any testing) and sent me for bloods. All came back normal, and healthy, and we were then referred for chromosome testing after the 5th.

I had learnt about the Implantation Clinic at Coventry from this thread, and my consultant was very supportive of me attending, so after I had exhausted the standard tests, I went there for NK cell testing. My NK cells were normal, but I got pg again before the results came back, so was put on full regime. I am now in to the 3rd trimester, as baking pointed out! Many of us are having success with the Coventry protocol, but have explored all the standard tests first to rule out thyroid issues, clotting etc.

Good luck with it all.

Triple sorry lovely, the cyclogest has all been claimed! Nice to hear from you though x

Bootles good news about the scan. Well done for the braveness of waiting a fortnight! You are a better person than me! x

Boozle80 · 25/11/2014 15:54

Thanks for the thoughts guys - unfortunately there was a strike yesterday so they cancelled my scan today to catch up on the back log. My next one's next Tuesday. Luckily scanxiety never reached its peak so wasn't to horrendous!
Welcome Flower everyone here is brilliant and so supportive.
Tanny randomly, did they give you anything during your 4th even though you hadn't had tests and what do Coventry give you as part of their standard practice?

TinyTear · 25/11/2014 16:30

oh Boozle that is annoying!

I had my scan at 11 yesterday, just as the strike was ending so didn't affect me

Boozle80 · 25/11/2014 17:08

Too horrendous even - you wouldn't ever think I was an English specialist sometimes!

Marchgirl · 25/11/2014 17:17

Oh bugger boozle. What an annoyance. Well I suppose at least it delays the scanxiety and on the plus side by next week you should be beyond your danger zone are you not?

Catlover2014 · 25/11/2014 18:16

Great news Bootles!

Boozle how annoying to have to wait an extra week. At least it means you don't have to worry about it for another week. The build up is awful.

Welcome Flower. I'm so sorry to read all you've been through. I can only echo what the girls say that taking some time out for tests might be a good idea. If you can wait there may be ways to get the ball rolling quicker with private tests at Coventry, although I think they can only start a few months after a pregnancy. Worth investigating anyway.

Tanny whoop to 3rd trimester. Your baby will be here in no time. Tiny it will soon be you too!

Hope this good luck pattern carries on for all the other lovely ladies on here.

XxX

Marchgirl · 25/11/2014 18:33

I know. It's incredible. I counted 11 who are preggers on this board at the moment. Shout out to all of you lovely ladies filling us with hope. And to all of you waiting in the wings too. I'm finding it very hard waiting until I can ttc again, but everyone here is making it a bit easier Smile

Justonemoretime · 25/11/2014 18:55

Boozle, what a pain Sad

All booked in, hopefully the universe can cope with the imbalance. Shock I'm feeling ill... but am I ill enough... I am officially driving myself nuts!

Purplefrogshoes · 25/11/2014 19:05

Good news bootles
Aw boozle that sucks Sad

Welcome flower sorry you find yourself here

Yay tanny
Sorry if I have missed anyone but on my phone

Seen the consultant today and I have the fear/scanxiety, she is sending me for a scan Thursday and has requested all my notes and wants to see me again in 2 weeks. She was also puzzled as to why I hadn't been put on any just in case meds such as high dose folic acid or progesterone? Got myself convinced something awful is going to show on the scan Sad

Justonemoretime · 25/11/2014 19:12

Purple, how worrying. Can you ask for some clarification? Surely leaving you worried can't be helpful, and perhaps a bit more information could be given to you before the scan, just to put your mind at ease? Maybe call their secretary?

tannyLoo · 25/11/2014 19:14

Bummer Boozles! But yes, if you can wait another week, you will be getting past your danger zone, which is good news...

I was prescribed progesterone from BFP, high dose folic acid and aspirin after my 4th, and when an early scan on what became my 5th showed an irregular empty sac, I managed to convince another consultant to prescribe me heparin, but I think it was too little too late.

My Coventry treatment was the scratch from the uterine biopsy, followed by progesterone from CD19, as I OV early, pred from bfp and heparin once scan confirmed sac in the right place, which in my case was about 4+3 or something ridiculous. All treatment stopped by 12 weeks.

Purplefrogshoes · 25/11/2014 19:25

I seen the midwife after the consultant and she seemed to think that the consultant thought that I should have been followed up after my tests and at the very least given high dose folic acid. Midwife also said it's just a dating scan so I am probably getting myself in a state for nothing Blush

Belleende · 25/11/2014 19:33

You tempeted to look at baby stuff yet tanny?
purple people here are on various levels of meds. I think I had quite a passive consultant, found low thyroid and just treated that, no other meds. Don't know what the advice from the other ladies is but you might want to ask specific questions about what medication options are still open to you. Some I think can only be prescribed after a scan, so maybe not too late. I think it pays to be armed with details and be pushy.

Boozle80 · 25/11/2014 19:34

That's kind of what I thought. 9-10 weeks is my danger zone with one measuring 9 weeks 5 days and one measuring about ten weeks - I've kind of blocked out exactly how big she got. Having a scan at 9+2 will put me on a good footing and then I thought I'd see if I could convince them to give me another at 10+ 2 if I get that far. It all seems so close and yet so far at the moment!
Purple I can't believe she said that - she has, fortunately, obviously never been in the position we are! I wish we could have an empathy button which zaps across just how important each appointment and scan are to us!

Boozle80 · 25/11/2014 19:35

When's your danger zone purple? Are you ten weeks now?

Belleende · 25/11/2014 19:35

Oh and yeah for your scan bootles and boo for yours boozle (although I whole heartedly support the strike)

Boozle80 · 25/11/2014 19:43

I've got to say - I completely agree with you Belle the nurse I spoke to was so apologetic and I told her there was absolutely no need - it's not an emergency, it's a reassurance and it's exactly what they need to report as happening so the strike has an impact. These guys have looked after me so well over the past few months they deserve far more than a pay rise!

tannyLoo · 25/11/2014 19:44

Purple sounds really horrid. Hope you get a better service from now on! The meds thing is so arbitrary, that 2 different consultants in the same dept can treat the same thing in totally different ways. Nightmare!

Belle, you missed my tie dyed babygro confession last week! I keep meaning to post a picture [grin... I have started allowing myself to buy little bits, but every time I do, it makes me cry! Standing in the nappy aisle and sobbing isn't really a look...

Purplefrogshoes · 25/11/2014 20:18

I am 15+3 and I had a good scan at 11 weeks so I'm passed the danger point but surely I'm too late for meds any way!! Tie dyed babygros sound fabulous tanny

Boozle80 · 25/11/2014 20:22

I really want to see the tiedyed explosion!

Boozle80 · 25/11/2014 20:23

Sorry Purple I've read lots on meds up to 12 weeks but haven't dared look beyond that!

Catlover2014 · 25/11/2014 21:06

Waiting is the worst isn't it March? Hope you don't have to wait too much longer.

Purple I've not been on here for a while. Can't believe you're 15 weeks. Hope you can get the bottom of all this with the scan and meds. Pregnancy is such an anxious time for us all.

XxX

bakingtins · 25/11/2014 21:29

boozle you sound admirably calm.

purple I think your consultant must have foot-in-mouth disease. Those of us who were on meds stopped them between 10-12 weeks anyway. If it was all good at 11 weeks I'm sure it will be fine at the scan. Try not to succumb to the scanxiety.

OP posts:
tannyLoo · 25/11/2014 21:33

Purple I agree with Baking, you are passed the point when I was taking any meds. I stopped everything, including folic acid, by 12 weeks. Try to relax and enjoy the next few weeks obviously need to remember to do this myself Grin

bootles · 25/11/2014 21:37

Tanny 3rd trimester woo hoo! That is SUCH an achievement. Keep on doing what you're doing x

flower I am sorry for your losses. Waiting to TTC is hard, especially if you have trouble conceiving. Your last loss is very recent, maybe see it as giving your body a brief mini break?

boozle HOW frustrating for you.
