Congrats Tiny, I'm sure your placenta is a point of medical interest and nothing, although you may get extra scans? I don't think heparin would cause it, but maybe if placenta making was part of the problem, then this is the result with heparin helping you out?
Sorry the witch got you Cloud Sad I know its easy to say next month is another try, but it doesn't make it any less shitty. Hugs.
Good luck for your scans Bootles and Boozle.
Got my booking in appointment tomorrow afternoon. Please can you all salute all the lone magpies you see for a few days to counteract the jinxing effect? Thanks! Blush

Justonemoretime · 24/11/2014 18:14

*nothing to worry about

Boozle80 · 24/11/2014 18:27

I shall hunt down lone magpies and salute until my hand falls off :)

tannyLoo · 24/11/2014 18:29

Fingers and toes for you Bootles x

Wishing you a jinx-free booking in tomorrow just. Mine was with a student MW who seemed to want to practice her sympathetic face every time I mentioned anything about the MCs. She must have been all of 22. Ha! I'm old enough to be her mother laughs maniacally Blush I managed to get through it without any jinxing Smile

Catlover2014 · 24/11/2014 18:46

Great news tiny!! It sounds like they aren't worried about the placenta but at least you're getting an extra scan in a few weeks to put your mind at rest.

Good luck Bootles and Boozle. Hope all goes well for you both tomorrow.

Sorry it's AF cloud Sad Please don't be hard on yourself about how you handle all this, it is so tiring to be on this journey and we all know that. I have accepted there will never be a DC2 as I can't put myself through this again if I am lucky enough to get a DC1. Or at least that's what I say right now haha.

8 week scan on Wednesday for me and I'm terrified. Keep 'bumping' into a heavily pregnant girl in the works toilets. I swear I never saw her at all until about 3 weeks ago Envy

Smiles and hugs to all you ladies xxxx

Flen · 24/11/2014 18:56

Luck luck luck for boozles and bootle, and just I fully imagine you entering booking in appt strewn with rabbit feet and four leafed clovers. Hope it's ok.

March I agree about the wanting/not wanting and the protective mechanism. YES.

bootles · 24/11/2014 19:41

Thanks all.
boozle good luck for yours tomorrow
just everything crossed and magpies will be saluted.

march and flen - it is totally a self protective mechanism. A getting on with life whatever it brings you. Any decision that has to be made and re-made and made again; and anything that you strive and reach for and go through so much pain for, is bound to be questioned.

bootles · 24/11/2014 19:42

And good luck for wednesday cat

bootles · 24/11/2014 19:47

Tanny i forgot..has the pred been claimed yet? I feel the good luck on here may run out with me, but really getting more pred isn't actually going to make that happen. (Speaks firmly to self)

triple hey, nice to see you. How are things?

tannyLoo · 24/11/2014 23:10

Pred is yours Bootle! And i believe its more than luck...
PM me your details xxx

sparklingharbour · 24/11/2014 23:33

Hi I just want to add some positive news that I have a lovely 12 week old dd after 3 miscarriages. I was on this thread, and had a successful pregnancy first time trying mr Shehatas protocol at Epsom, which I got on the Nhs for free. Sorry for typos - cling on baby.

Justonemoretime · 25/11/2014 06:42

Thank to everyone on 'magpie watch'! Of course I am convinced all my symptoms have gone this morning... hopefully I will feel awful later... this is mental, it really is! Blush

Justonemoretime · 25/11/2014 06:43

Congratulations Sparkling, always good to hear a success story! Grin

tannyLoo · 25/11/2014 08:04

Sparkling thanks for coming back to tell us about your daughter. How lovely! x

Just I'll be positively hunting out magpies in the fields of Somerset today just for you!

tannyLoo · 25/11/2014 08:05

And 26 weeks today!

Floweroct · 25/11/2014 09:12

Hi can I please join the club no one wants to be in! My stats

34, dh35, no dc
1st mc: dec 2012 mmc 11 weeks but measured 6w after 14 months ttc
2nd mc: march 2014 6 weeks after iui
3rd mc: nov 2014 10 weeks measured 7 weeks

So here I am. Latest happened over the weekend so have spent the last day reading through here, you all seem so lovely and helpful. I've ordered a couple of books which will hopefully arrive today. We've been referred to rmc but appt isn't until 3 months. Just feel the need to ttc asap so not sure about waiting for tests esp when we have such struggles getting pg in the first place. For those of you that have had tests did you do it in nhs? Has anyone gone private straight away? Just really want to get things moving. I read through the blog someone posted sorry I'm on phone so can't see back to see who it was. It is so well written and struck so many chords esp life being in limbo!

Hope everyone is feeling ok and thank you so much for helping me process my thoughts over the past couple if days xx

bythesea82 · 25/11/2014 09:32

Welcome flower, sorry that you've had such a long and hard journey so far. I will leave those more knowledgable than me to help with your questions. I have just had blood tests at RMC but not seen the consultant yet so not sure what exactly they're testing. This part is through NHS though.

boozle and bootle good luck today. just can't remember when you're appointment is but good luck!
tanny great milestone Smile
Sorry if I missed anyone x

bakingtins · 25/11/2014 10:29

Congratulations on the birth of your baby sparkling Smile

Woo hoo tanny I make that third trimester!

flower welcome and sorry to hear about your losses. There is a very standard set of tests for RMC, which yields an answer about 50% of the time. The majority of it is blood tests and you need to be about 6-8 weeks post MC so your hormones have settled down. In your shoes I think I'd contact them and see if it's a possibility to get a list of tests and get the blood drawn by your GP in 6 weeks or so, then at your appointment you could be discussing the tests, not starting the process. I went private after 3MC (but not 3 in a row) and spent about £750 and that was with my lovely GP running the majority of the tests for me, and I only needed a basic scan as I'd had children previously. We didn't get an answer and I went on to have another miscarriage. Then when I did 'qualify' for the RMC clinic I was told they couldn't do anything further and I should try again on the exact same protocol that had just failed to save another normal embryo Sad At that point I went up to Coventry to see Prof Q (£350) got my diagnosis and was successful next pregnancy.
You don't say whether your recent MC happened naturally or ERPC - if there is any possibility of getting 'products' tested then I'd pursue it. If the embryo was normal I'd push harder to find an answer on your tests, if there was a chromosome abnormality that gives you some closure and hope that it wouldn't recur.
I wouldn't TTC whilst you wait - the break will do you good, and if you do get pregnant they can't run the tests and some of the recommended treatments are best given before you are pregnant or from the point of BFP. You might do all the tests and be in the situation where you have no answers, but if there is something treatable you don't want to go through an 'unnecessary' miscarriage because you weren't on the right treatment.
I would do what you can to expedite the NHS tests, use the waiting time to recuperate physically and emotionally, and probably have Coventry as a back up plan if you get normal results. You need to be 2 cycles post MC and not pregnant to go to Coventry anyway, they can fit you in at short notice (in the right phase of your cycle) if you decide to pursue that option.

Triplespin · 25/11/2014 10:38

Hi Tanny

I would like the cyclogest if it's not gone already?

Thanks Bootles! I am well - it's nice taking a break and I am spending most of my spare time with DS (realise how lucky I am for him). We are likely to go for ivf with stronger immune protocol for me. We reckon that if I need to do this it has to been soon (I am 36!). If it doesn't work then we can always try naturally and get lucky like others on this thread.

Hope you are keeping ok. Good luck for the scan!

cloudjumper · 25/11/2014 10:54

Welcome floweroct, sorry you find yourself here! Your name sounds familiar, I think we might have 'met' previously on either a pregnancy or mc thread...

I understand the panic about wanting to get moving asap, the sitting around and waiting is just awful. Which books did you buy? I have so many now, and keep buying more, but then I never read then because I find them so depressing...
Which rmc clinic are you being referred to? They usually want you to get your latest mc out of your system completely, which probably contributes to the wait.

I have never been referred to an rmc clinic, I did most of my testing on the NHS and paid privately for a few extra. But I was lucky in that my EPU got the ball rolling for the tests immediately after my 3rd mc, I didn't have to do anything, and we only had to wait for about 2 months until all the test results came in. We had karyotyping for both me and DH, scans and blood tests (looking at blood clotting and other factors), as well as testing the pregnancy tissue. And I then paid to get my AMH and progesterone levels tested (for some bizarre reason, the hospital didn't want to check my Day 22 progesterone levels, which to this day I cannot understand because how else can they check if I am ovulating?!).
Hope this helps, and that you can get some answers soon.

bootles · 25/11/2014 11:33

Just a quick check in post scan - there is a gestational sac and the start of the yolk sac. By dates I am 5+6 but O'd late and think I am more like 5+2, which the findings are consistent with. Opted to go back in 2 weeks to epu and ditch the RMC appointment for scan next week. All they can do is scan me and I think I am going to bite the bullet and wait 2 weeks. Whatever is found then will be much more clear with little room for doubt.

cloudjumper · 25/11/2014 11:53

bootles That is really encouraging! All the right things in the right places, hopefully off to a great start for a successful pregnancy. Will you be getting any drugs now (sorry, I can't remember where you are being looked after and if you have a specific treatment plan). Fingers crossed for you xx

bakingtins · 25/11/2014 12:05

A great start bootles ! Line up plenty to keep you busy for the next couple of weeks, I'm sure it will feel like a long time.

Marchgirl · 25/11/2014 13:06

Good news bootles. That all sounds positive.
What time is your scan boozle?
Welcome flower and sorry you find yourself here.
I agree with baking that if you can bear to wait for the tests then at least you'll know you've done everything you can this time. I think that's part of the reason my last one was so hard but this time I feel like at least I'm trying something different.
If you are able to get the foetus tested then you should try to do this. Standard nhs policy is now to not karyotype the parents unless the foetus shows a genetic abnormality, although from the experience of people here this obviously varies.
It's definitely worth phoning the appointments person once you get your rmc date through, as there are frequently cancellations as people fall pregnant before their appts, so they might have a cancellations list. I mentioned my age (37) to try and hurry it along and got moved up by a month, ahead of others who were in their 20s. You're still not quite regarded as geriatric (their term not mine), as you're not yet 35, but might be worth a try.
3rd trimester tanny. Great milestone!

Floweroct · 25/11/2014 13:43

Thanks everyone, good news bootles

I finished miscarrying in hospital so hopefully they have enough to test. I originally went in on Friday with a small amount of bleeding and no heartbeat. I saw two consultants as they needed two people to confirm. The one consultant said after it was over they'd give me forms to get bloods done after 6 weeks at gps but when I went yesterday they said they don't give out forms and I'd have to wait for my appt in 3 months but surely it would make sense to have some results to discuss! They were going to check with consultant for me but I haven't heard back yet so ill chase. I was already taking cyclogest and aspirin so don't know if that helped me getting further than previously.
It's just the consultant at my nhs hospital I've been referred to. I've got the Lesley regan book and the is your body baby friendly or whatever it's called. It just seems so confusing when there are different schools of thought!
