Welcome back cat and congrats! Fingers crossed that this is your sticky rainbow.
I'm afraid I don't have any wisdom to share about scanxiety, other than prepping the sonographer that I need to know ASAP if there is a heartbeat or not, no uh-ming and ah-ing and rummaging around, please. Other than that, having an understanding person there to hold my hand and distract me with random conversation. I vaguely remember my lovely friend trying to engage me into a discussion about where to find boots for people with wide calves one time, bless her heart. It went in one ear and out of the other, but I really appreciated her effort.
Sorry if that's not very helpful!
Good luck to everyone having a scan this week! We have so many pg ladies on here now, it is so uplifting and encouraging! I'm routing for all of you (and I'm sure you will understand that I am also totally jealous...).
The abs have fortunately kicked in, but I felt so rotten on Saturday and Sunday morning! Fortunately, it picked up, as DS had a full programme with birthday party and the the Octonauts show.
I chatted with a lady at the birthday party who had come with a 2-week old... So so lovely. But then had to pretend that I had to get a drink for DS when the baby was passed around for cuddles, don't think I would have coped (esp as I knew nobody there!).
Sorry for the sporadic reporting - I am madly busy with work and going to apply for a promotion on top of everything else - the deadline is tomorrow, and I am still working on the cover letter. Then DH being away, so I'm full on with DS (who is for once behaving very nicely, but still needs to be fed, clothed, bathed etc). Hoping that things calm down soon...
