Welcome to all the newbies, so sorry that you find yourselves here!

Ididn't Good luck for your appointment later today. I can understand how you feel - I always wanted them to find 'something', and preferably something that can be easily fixed/treated! Sadly, it doesn't work like that.
Please try not to fret too much about the 'what ifs' - you'll be going round in circles. See what they say, then take your time to think about it all and discuss it with your DP/DH.

jenny Where abouts are you? If you want to meet with others locally, I'd suggest posting in your local MN forum. I'm in Cambridge, happy to meet if anyone would like...

Lades Gosh, that must be so hard! Take your time, they can't expect you to just go back like that - can you ask to be put on non-pg-ladies-scanning duty or something? Surely there are other opportunities for scans...

I'm feeling very sorry for myself. Stinking cold that makes me feel all fuzzy, but not in a good way. Seriously thinking about going home for the day... On CD6, and the CBFM started asking for sticks again already, urgh. Really wondering if I should sell it, since I don't really need it - cheapie OPKs work fine. Just that extra bit of control...

EffinIneffable · 15/09/2014 14:00

I go away for a couple of days and you're four pages into a new thread!

Place marking for now and will catch up with you all later when I'm not supposed to be working.

Re-cap on where I am: I'm 36, DH is 40, ttc #1 since Feb 2013. Two anembryonic mc, 1st in Jan 2014 at 6 weeks, 2nd at 10+5 weeks in August 2014, but discovered at private scan at 7+5. Should be #ttc again now, but family bad health means that's on hold for now.

Hope you're all doing as well as you can be.

Bristolian1 · 15/09/2014 14:02

baking haha it is a small world!! Given the one degree of separation rule in veterinary we probs do know each other!

TinyTear · 15/09/2014 14:03

Still 1 page for me... I set them up to show 100 messages per page Grin

jennywren1970 · 15/09/2014 14:18

Wow this is a busy page. Thanks for getting back to me. Im in Bristol if anyone else fancies meeting up. Not looking for a shoulder to cry on. It'd just be nice to hang out with people with something in common.
Not really selling this am I? Ha Ha!
Anyway if anyone fancies a coffee get in touch.

Ididntseeitsoitdidnthappen · 15/09/2014 14:22

I don't live in bristol - I'm 4 hours away - but am often there (well, 4x a year) so am up for a meet

bakingtins · 15/09/2014 16:08

Looks like a Bristol meet-up is a possibility then. The London lasses have had it all their own way far too long!

Fortunately after this week ive got 2 weeks of annual leave which has been booked off for ages so will hopefully feel able to work following that. If not as one of u suggested ill have to ask to be rotad elsewhere for a bit.

Bristolian1 · 15/09/2014 16:32

I'd be up for a Bristol meet up too!

tannyLoo · 15/09/2014 17:02

Blimey, it's taken 10 mins to catch up!

Welcome newbies, so sorry you're here, but we are a nice group...

No news or useful advice from me, sorry. Just trying to get a job, which is a bit smoke and mirrors when you're visibly upduffed!

Am definitely up for a Bristol meet up Grin

EffinIneffable · 15/09/2014 17:28

I'm also Bristol and generally a slacker. Is there something in the water here?

tannyLoo · 15/09/2014 17:31

It'll be the Bristol Hum no doubt...

Triplespin · 15/09/2014 17:31

Wow so many gals from Bristol !!

When is the next London meet up planned?

charlieis30 · 15/09/2014 18:01

Early next week for London? Anyone?

Ididntseeitsoitdidnthappen · 15/09/2014 18:46

Hi ladies, we had the appointment and it was all very rushed. A junior dr took my history then the consultant sat there said 'I speak to many women in your situation and usually there are no answers. It's likely it's a chromosome abnormality where your chromosome don't match up but we'll do the blood tests anyway. Oh by the way we don't do chromosomal testing any more is that going to be a problem?'

So that's that

He's writing to the GP to get 75mg aspirin and progesterone prescribed so I have it in the house for when we get out next bfp otherwise waiting 8 weeks for the test results to come back from London

DH is fuming and can't see why the GP couldn't have done all these tests and prescription!

Justonemoretime · 15/09/2014 18:52

Ididnt, which hospital was it? Was this after your 3rd MC? Sounds frustrating. Hope you're OK? x

Ididntseeitsoitdidnthappen · 15/09/2014 19:08

It was Broomfield in Essex at their specialist recurrent mc clinic

I'm so pissed off at how bad the junior doctor was he had a google page in front of him with 'things to ask about recurrent mc' on it when taking my history.

TinyTear · 15/09/2014 19:20

That is terrible service!

I can check my work diary tomorrow but a lunch next Monday or Thursday or friday would be good for me. I work at home on Wednesdays and have the counselling on Tuesdays so those days are out.

Lurker, triple, who else was near farringdon ?

Triplespin · 15/09/2014 19:22

Yes sounds good to me! Monday and Tuesday are the best days for me.

Ididntseeitsoitdidnthappen · 15/09/2014 19:23

We don't live in mid Essex but on the choose and book this was the quickest appt we could get.

I'm tempted to go back to my GP and ask if our area does the chromosome testing and see a specialist in this area

Justonemoretime · 15/09/2014 19:26

I'd complain. I could have given you a better consultation than that! Your gp should be able to get you in to St Marys, push for that. Good luck.

tannyLoo · 15/09/2014 19:33

Ididnt I'm completely Shock at your service! Mine has been patchy, but that is terrible. I think you'd be well within your rights to go back to your GP and ask for a new referral.

It took a while for me to find the specialist consultant in my area, as the GP's referral was a bit generic.

It might be worth asking who is a specialist in RM, or who has an interest in the field. Alternatively, you can ask to go straight to St Marys. Your GP might be happy with that, no harm in asking...

Ididntseeitsoitdidnthappen · 15/09/2014 19:37

Thanks ladies, I will wait for the blood results and then ask. We are going to hold off trying until then anyway to give the request for the prescription time to go through

charlieis30 · 15/09/2014 19:37

Monday or Tuesday works for me, I'm working from home so wherever you girls want. Farringdon is super easy for me.
