Isn't it awful that not one of us can think of a relly good place to go
I do love NI but do sometimes wonder at its provisions for families,
yes we have loads of National Trust places but they do cost a fortune sometimes,
and as you say museum is great but parking crap,
W5 costs a fortune, and tbh not 1 floor caters to all age groups

there is a lovely park in Lisburn and the play area getting refurbished(looks vvvv cool say dcs) but again if it rains you will get soaked!

LittleMissSnowShine · 07/07/2010 15:17

There's a pick your own fruit farm in Hillsborough with a cafe or, and this is looking ahead a bit lol, September is Parent and Toddler Month, £4 entry, under 3s go free and there's free juice and biscuits for toddlers.

But I agree Plum, considering how much rain we get here you think there'd be more indoor stuff to do for kids with better carparking and that doesn't cost a fortune....

PlumBumMum · 07/07/2010 16:41

I have no toddler in sept can't believe I forgot that, I was thinking in Sept it'll be just me and dd2 again so easier to organise,

TakeLovingChances · 07/07/2010 17:08

LittleMiss twins! Good luck with that if it turns out to be true! A bit rubbish of her to only notice now! Did they not look at your scans? Keep us updated. Btw, I have a great sister-in-law who I moan about my MIL to, is great therapy for us both.

Tee am glad your Adam is getting settled in daycare and that there is only one Adam. I still am at how many Adam's there were at the meet-up that day! Lol!

Right, have to go now. Mum is minding DS this evening for a few hours so DH and I can go out for a 'date'

In ref to the next meet-up. I have car, will drive. Will get my thinking cap on to see if I have any ideas where we could go....

mumoffourgirls · 08/07/2010 10:37

Just a suggestion ladies but how about a picnic or BBQ in Tollymore forest park or somewhere like that, plenty of space for kids to run about, lovely walks and plenty of shelter under the tree`s if it rains, also loads of parking spaces, doesnt cost alot and you could make a day of it if you wanted to...

MamaMary · 08/07/2010 10:46

Hello all. Littlemiss, very at your midwife suggesting twins, surely that would have been picked up at both scans so far... How unnerving for you...

I'll be 37 weeks this weekend, and was told by MW this week baby could 'come any time' now which is technically true, but I'm getting to the stage where I'd actually like it to come any day, and just know I'll probably go overdue. So trying to keep myself occupied and not analyse every pain/ twinge etc...

LittleMissSnowShine · 09/07/2010 09:23

I know - twins!! I'm completely obsessed with analysing kicks, wriggles, movements etc to see if it feels like one baby or two... Still hoping/assuming MW had just forgotten to take her meds that day. But if LO is still breech when I see GP on Mon 19th then I'll prob be getting a scan and will hopefully find out for sure and get my mind put to rest...phew....

Oooh, MamaMary... getting very close now!! I'm 4 weeks behind you so you'll have to let me know how it all goes . Really trying to push myself to get thesis finished by next week but everyone I know seems to be on holiday at the min so finding it very hard to get any work done!!

PlumBumMum · 09/07/2010 10:13

The new play area at Wallace park opens today, will have a wee visit and scout it out for future meetups

The play area looks brilliant for dcs and there is loads green areas & think they were giving the duck pond a revamp too, there is a bus stop right at the gates, buses go right into Belfast via Lisburn road or

mumoffourgirls · 09/07/2010 10:33

The new play area in Wallace park looks great my DD`s have been watching it for months, we live in Lisburn and drive past it on most days and what do you know the day it opens again after months of waiting it RAINS

PlumBumMum · 09/07/2010 17:00

mumoffourgirls my dcs couldn't believe it opened today they wanted to go anyway was going to go before I went to Tesco but went into Belfast instead
my MIL lives just up the road from it, and I always brought the dcs there afer the library before it moved.

Tee2072 · 10/07/2010 21:08

It was on the top of the Meet Up topic...are you hallucinating, booyhoo?

booyhoo · 10/07/2010 21:33

Tee2072 · 12/07/2010 08:17

Right you lot, the 30th is coming up quick.

So...where?!?!?!?!

booyhoo you can go to customize and then click the link that says 'ignored threads'. That will show you a list of all the threads you've hidden.
