Would anyone be interested in a Northern Ireland meet up?

I don't care one way or the other, except that I have my two youngest wed/thur/fri/sat/sun of next week as they are off on half term.

Come on folks!!!

i dont care either way, er either except that i only have evening time care at weekends.

dingdong3 · 27/05/2010 13:53

Ooooo, ooo, can I come too??! How about we do a day time meet at Botanic Gardens with the kids? If it rains, we can duck into the coffee shop at the museum, if it's nice, we could have a picnic? How about next Friday?
Feel all bossy coming on for the first time and all that but it really would be lovely to meet up before the summer holidays....
Tee2072...we are FB friends too! I have twin girls. Hope your LO is better soon - you are having a real run of it

iamfabregasted · 27/05/2010 14:35

Ding Dong that's an excellent idea!

OP posts:
iamfabregasted · 27/05/2010 14:36

PS My 2 girls are 11 and 8 so not babies, is that ok?

Tee2072 · 27/05/2010 15:47

Darn it, I can't make it then (although I think its a great idea!).

My mum will be in town from the States staring next Friday until the 14th, I think it is. Something like that!

But I hope y'all have fun and I'll join you for the next one!

booyhoo · 27/05/2010 17:25

tee what dates suit you? friday wasn't set in stone was it?

Tee2072 · 27/05/2010 17:27

Well, if we want it to be a Friday, then the first day I'd be available is the 18th. Or any day after the 15th.

booyhoo · 27/05/2010 17:28

have we agreed whether daytime or nighttime yet?

Tee2072 · 27/05/2010 17:55

Well, if we're going to meet at Botanic, wouldn't day time make the most sense?

PlumBumMum · 27/05/2010 19:01

(Unless your bringing a bottle of peach concorde, now theres a trip down memory lane)

TakeLovingChances · 27/05/2010 19:33

Right, glad this is heading towards a proper actual real life meeting. So excited!

I'm on maternity leave atm (DS is 3 months old) so I'm pretty much free anytime.

If it's a no kids meeting then it'd need to be at night/weekends... but I'm breastfeeding so that would make it difficult for me.

I'd prefer to bring DS so I can feed him, plus I want you all to coo over him and tell me how cute he is

Daytime might be better, in my very humble opinion....

If anyone needs a life from the Newtownabbey area into Belfast (?) let me know and we can car share.

Tee2072 · 27/05/2010 20:33

I agree that day time is better. I work from myself and set my own hours, so I can just pencil y'all in as a meeting.

iamfabregasted · 27/05/2010 20:34

Ohhhh cute babies to coo over - this is going to be seriously class.

I don't care when it is, and I'm coming down from ballymoney with one space in the car if I have the girls, 3 if not.

TakeLovingChances · 27/05/2010 20:53

Is it in Belfast city centre we're meeting? Think that'd be best, more to do and everyone will know how to get there.

I'm so excited!

iamfabregasted · 27/05/2010 21:47

I am seriously excited and well looking forward to this!!!

WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A NORTHERN IRELAND MEET UP WAY HAY

OP posts:
KnickKnack · 27/05/2010 21:54

might make it to one during the summer holidays!

booyhoo · 27/05/2010 23:08

daytime suits me better too re children.

ok so what have we decided?
daytime?
botanic?
anytime after 15th of june?

so we just need date and time then? lets hear your dates than ladies.
i am not working at the minute so can do anyday, although ds finishes school at 12 so would be 1ish before i got into town.

iamfabregasted · 28/05/2010 09:40

I'm fine with whenever - but I'll be incommunicado for the next couple of days, going to wee bros birthday in Scotland, so just work away and I'll work with whatever.

OP posts:
dingdong3 · 28/05/2010 13:32

Wow...lots of messages since I was on yesterday! KnickKnack, would be great if you were in Belfast also...but I know it's a long way for you.
how about the 18th then? I have to do school run at 2 so how about we do it like a 'drop in' thing from about 12? Last time we were at the museum, we picnicked on the grass to the side of the entrance and it was lovely...safe for the kids to run about but near to toilets and coffee shop etc.
and PMSL at PlumBumMum....I will have to bring a bottle of something stronger in my nappy bag! Please don't be scardy...I am always a bit shy about these things but with the kids there (and some peach concorde), it's lots easier to meet new people..

paulaplumpbottom · 28/05/2010 13:38

Sounds like fun! May I come?

Tee2072 · 28/05/2010 18:48

Of course you can come!

PlumBumMum · 01/06/2010 20:06

This dropped off threads I'm on so just getting it back,

still lurking

Tee2072 · 01/06/2010 21:15

I lost it also, Plumbummum.

So have we actually decided anything?
