Oooooh I would love to come to this. Alas even if I drove down I'd have to bring DD and if the Sydney meet-ups are anything to go by that would NOT be appropriate.

Have fun! Photos please.

wilbs · 15/09/2008 02:10

Hi girls!
I am in, looking forward to it!

It will be nice to do something grown up in the middle of the delights of the school holidays!

DCSnatch- have emailed you!

I have sent a text to MelbourneMum and to Tangox so hopefully they can join us too. There are a couple of other Melbourne Mners who I haven't met yet who may still lurk so hopefully they will see this and join us too

as usual us northerners miss out on everything [hopes to have a state visit if she ever gets to Melbourne]

eidsvold · 15/09/2008 07:11

perhaps we could organise a meet up in Sydney - all the mnetters fly in from around Aus. Although it is still a way from Perth. I know - we could go to Margaret river and check out the fab vineyards scenery.

superloopy · 15/09/2008 07:32

Yay hooray! I am really looking forward to this.
What am I going to wear...???

DCsnatchsunhill · 15/09/2008 07:32

Yay, I'm in. I'll just have to sort out a later start for Wednesday or book a day orf. (Hmmmm, why can't I just go into work on-time? Decisions, decisions...)

Wilbs...can't get Gmail at work so will check my email when I get home

Please, please don't let me drink

DCsnatchsunhill · 15/09/2008 07:33

Oooh, superloopy we x-posted using the same level of excitment!

superloopy · 15/09/2008 07:34

But you are sooooooo funny mixed with vodka!!

superloopy · 15/09/2008 07:35

Yes I saw I was only 5secs ahead of you....

wilbs · 15/09/2008 08:30

Am very excited!

Train in and taxi back, and strictly white wine only this time .

DC, B&B awaits!

MrsJohnCusack · 15/09/2008 08:50

HOOOORAY

I have nothing to wear though. But am planning my shopping itinerary for the MOnday...

I demand to have some vodka, haven't had any for well over 2 years . That's not right is it?!

ghosty · 15/09/2008 08:58

I love vodka. I get a little silly on vodka (superloopy et al will testify to that )
And no, it is NOT right that you haven't had vodka for 2 whole years
We shall fix that for you

Oh I would like to be there in spirit pleeeeese

arfishy · 15/09/2008 11:04

Oh Eids, as ever you are the voice of reason. I think an Australia-wide Sydney meet is a fantastic idea .

We can't do it until NineDragons is back though. I don't think I'd be led astray enough otherwise .

MrsJohnCusack · 15/09/2008 11:32

well I think I might plan a state visit to Sydney next
maybe next year....

ghosty · 15/09/2008 12:51

I'll be there ... with bells on! When does 9dragons come back Arfishy ... ? Not that I need anyone to lead me astray - I do a good job of that on my own

thritbies · 16/09/2008 00:07

Oh how lovely! I will also be there in spirit, am very fond of Melbourne, having spent 2 whole summers at my aunty and uncle's MANY years ago. You will have to all tell me where you live, and if I know/recognise the names I can go all nostalgic and daft

n.b. just previewed and did not mean to sound stalkerish- obv just the name of the district or suburb, not the road and house number . I'll start- my aunty lives in Sunbury if any of you are familiar with it? Not technically Melbourne but fairly close iirc

Well that serves me right for crashing the thread- I only know St Kilda! But I love it there. Hope you have a wonderful time Califrau. How strange to have found this thread today- dd received a card from my aunty who is now hmm 87? ds was asking if we are going to see her- explained too expensive but would love to. She can't manage the journey over here, and has never seen my children. My uncle died a few years ago, also never having seen them.
