Hello!

Am still here, just busy busy as usual.

Glad you had a lovely hol, Ambi. Back to earth with a bump, though. THis weather's got to get better sometime.

So, is anyone up for a girls' night in on Mon or Tues? I know it's short notice. Mentioned it a while ago and then forgot to come back and post! DH will be in New York so we won't be bother by him. My mum (babysitter) is in Ireland so only way to get (uninterrupted) adult company is to invite you ladies around and hope the DDs won't play up. Anyway, let me know if anyone's interested. Nemo, I believe you have some sins you want to spend!?

Hope the bumps are behaving, BL and Browny.

MD - I'm ok for a meet up on Wed (but will have to dash off for DD1's swimming in Formby at 4). Unfortunately Thurs is out and DH is back on Fri so will want to (pretend to) spend time with DDs. Really looking forward to meeting your DD2. Hope things are settling down.

stoppinattwo · 18/08/2008 16:15

I think DP is about ready to put me under the patio ...I keep changing my mind about what i want....well it is a fluid design....

biglips · 18/08/2008 16:41

s@2 - ooh dear!

OP posts:
Jaamy · 18/08/2008 17:03

Get the feeling that when you say "fluid", you mean blood, sweat and tears?

Jaamy · 18/08/2008 17:10

When the designer has such good taste the end result is bound to be superb [sycophantic emoticon]!!

MyDingaling · 18/08/2008 17:31

Thank you for card Jaamy, it arrived this morning, it looks like it has been round the world.

Sorry, can't make tomorrow. DH is on call so I have nobody to have DDs if he is called out.

If Jaamy can make Wednesday for day time meet up, how is that for everybody else?

Jaamy · 18/08/2008 17:48

Glad you got card and sorry you can't make it tomorrow. Would have been lovely to see you, and you probably could be doing with a grown up night out around now. that I'm not having to cope with a teeny tot.

Let's keep fingers crossed that weather is ok on Wed, though everywhere is going to be swamp-like, even if dry.

andyrobo237 · 18/08/2008 18:11

Hi cant do tomorrow night as Dh is working late!

Can do wed daytime - I have heard rom my mum that it may be a good day - the weather orcaser that she is....not! Any ideas of where to go?? Apart from the usual haunts?

Jaamy · 18/08/2008 19:24

There is a family fun day at KGV sports centre, Huyton on wed pm - football, face painting, dancing, craft activities, mini farm, etc.

Might be worth a try for a change???

biglips · 18/08/2008 19:35

yes Andy - the weather is looking good for Wed....overcast but dry and it may drizzle from 4pm

OP posts:
Jaamy · 18/08/2008 20:35

Does anyone believe the weather forecast any more??

andyrobo237 · 18/08/2008 21:17

Weather forecast - with all this technology they still cant get it right!!!

Family fun day sounds good to me - we have been to a few around here, and the kids seem to enjoy themselves - just being able to run around is good enough to me (them not me - I would wobble too much - note to self - get out the Slimming World books and get back on the track!!!)

We had high drama at the weekend - a blooming mouse in the house - it had the cheek to nibble DS's favourte syrup pancakes! We appeared to have one for a while and last weekend we found it in the conservatory - I trapped it and evicted it (so brave smiley!!). Well the mite came back, helped itself to grapes - found them on top of the cooker - so a trip to B&Q ensued on Sunday - suffice to say, the house is now mouse free - or as T would say "mouse gone!"

We hope that is the end to that, but have put the other trap in the same place, just in case it had friends!!!

browny · 18/08/2008 22:34

Hi, just got the p.c. back from my brother (yet again!), he's sorted out all the virus stuff etc that was on it - sorry, can't make tomorow night Jammy, but would love to meet up... I wouldn't be able to make it to Huyton though with my lot!

Saying that though, I think I overdone it (a lot) at the weekend, I stripped, painted and wallpapered the nursery in two days whilst dh took the kids off to Prestatyn and I can hardly stand up straight, let along put one leg in front of the other.. so you all go ahead to Huyton for the fun day and hopefully I'll see you all next time .
