Here is a fresh new thread

Thank you for all your lovely thoughts and texts. Have just been trying to be normal all week but is difficult. DH is around which is good - he has been a star. Think I'm alright and then something silly will happen and I'm having a little blub. Will be better after Friday. DDs have been a delight. If it wasn't for the MC would have said I've had the perfect week.

Nemo - I will phone you as soon as I think I can talk without blubbing!

Ei - so glad things are getting sorted for you. Here's to another mini-Ei! I really think we are so lucky to have LWH on our doorstep.

Will be up for a meet next week please if all ok on Fri. x

browny · 24/09/2008 22:35

Jammy - I'm glad that your dh is being such a star and your little dd's are being lovely for you, I hope you will let your family really look after you, after all you look after them constantly. Sending you lots of love and hugs and hope to see you when you are up to it.xxxxx

biglips · 25/09/2008 20:57

Jaamy - yes what a supportive family that you have got there

Yes i had DD2 on Sunday @ 10.43am and was back home on Monday @ 7pm......totally on cloud nine and i will get round doing the birth announcement....as trying to find the time to do it atm and Dp will be starting his paternity leave in October as loads of things had happened as me gave birth and Dp bought a new van and a window cleaning pole system that was installed in the van in Cardiff.....

Good luck EI

gotta shoot as DD2's is hungry....oh she is a very contented baby....not like livewire DD1

Jaamy · 26/09/2008 16:14

Thanks everyone. All went OK at hospital. Was first theatre case this am so back home by lunchtime. Staff at LWH have been lovely. Just want to get back to normal and work on getting another little bean asap. Hoping to get GP to refer in meantime just incase there is anything that can be addressed.

CONGRATULATIONS again BL. Sounds like baby K has settled in well.

Will have to sort out a meet up. This thread has become more of a TTC/AN thread of late!

Nice to see you Snowballz. Are you going to the Manchester xmas meet up? Really looking forward to it now.

MyDingaling · 26/09/2008 16:25

Glad it was ok this morning and you were treated well by the staff. I am up for a meet up next week.

DD1 has finished her first week at nursery and she has loved it! She looks so grown up in her uniform. I made a fool of myself when I dropped her off for her first day and cried and then cried some more

browny · 26/09/2008 17:42

Jammy, glad it went o.k. this morning and you're at home now and being looked after, be extra nice to yourself and take it easy x.

MD - lovely to hear that your dd1 enjoyed nursery, I'm so glad that I didn't take ds2 when he started school the other week, I would have sobbed and sobbed all the way there and all the way home again! How's the cold now?

EisAHandbagaHolic · 26/09/2008 22:09

Weather's rubbish again! Are we doing something this week, then? [pushy emoticon!]

Hope everyone is ok???

biglips · 29/09/2008 10:04

Here is my birth announcement

OP posts:
browny · 29/09/2008 10:19

Jammy, yep..weather sure is rubbish today, hope you're being looked after nicely. Are you going a little stir crazy atm, where would you like to go? Would you like to meet up for lunch somewhere maybe?

MD - would you like to meet up too sometime this week?

Not sure where we could go, a nice cafe somewhere?

Biglips - just read your birth announcement, you made me smile the way you said you had an epidural and the next morning the midwife asked you to push... just like that! Congratulations and hope you are both well and happy . x

Hi to everyone else too!

biglips · 29/09/2008 10:26

Well Browny - it wasnt as simple as that! as i was pushing for 2 and a half hours!! as i didnt have that urge to push but the contractions were bad. it got to the point where i didnt wanna push any more as i had the worse burning sensation and the babys head on sitting on it!! OUCH!!!

OP posts:
browny · 29/09/2008 10:53

Biglips - lol, I did think that it took rather more work than you said, please don't remind me about that burning pain .

Jaamy · 29/09/2008 13:15

Browny - are you paying attention to your perineum? Probably TMI but I used moisturiser (olive oil body butter) on mine and had only one tiny stitch with DD1 and none with DD2(8lb 10oz). Think it helped with not getting any tears. DH used to say that I was "marinating my bits"!

Would love to meet for lunch but £££s very low at the moment. Could probably stretch to a coffee!

BL - yes, I think you made it sound a lot easier than it was! Congratulations again, again! Bet you're looking forward to DH having some time off to help you out.

MyDingaling · 29/09/2008 14:42

Yes I can do meet up this week, any day except tomorrow.

I have got to take DD2 to Alder Hey for a scan on her spine. At her six week check they said she had a sacral dimple(?)on her bum which can indicate spinal problems.

We were there last week for a scan on her hips as she has slight talipes that wasn't detected at birth, so we are still waiting for the results.

Once again BL congratulations on DD2.

andyrobo237 · 29/09/2008 16:31

Congrats biglips on your new DD - enjoy!

'tis my last week off work on the sick, so I could meet wed or thurs for coffee (while DC's are at school / childminders!!)

Better go - WW3 is going on next door!!

Jaamy · 29/09/2008 20:48

Andy - hope all better now. WW3 next door...we have that from time to time here!

MD - hope all is ok with DD2. I have absolutely no experience of any of the things you have mentioned but hope that the scans are all precautionary. Better to catch things early.

I appear to have gotten myself booked up every day apart from Friday. My lovely friends have all decided that I need to be kept busy/have my hand held/need counselling. I hope we can do something on Friday. Would be lovely to see everyone.

I am madly trying to sort out DD2's party having had a bit of a blip on the planning schedule over the last couple of weeks. Does anyone have a set of disco lights and/or a bubble making machine (left the batteries in ours and they went rusty!) I could borrow/buy? Would only be for corner of hall for last half hour of party when we've run out of games/prizes etc and I have to tackle the tidying up. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

biglips · 29/09/2008 22:17

jaamy - i do hope to come to the party. .. ive gotta sort out DD1's bday which is on Wed....time flies by!....gonna be taking her out on Saturday with SD to Underwater Street plus DD2 ...omg that be DD2 first day out!

OP posts:
Jaamy · 29/09/2008 22:26

Gosh, completely forgot about DD1's birthday, BL. Hope she has a lvely day. Can you text me your address, please? I know where you live (cos I've been there) but just can't remember house number and road !

browny · 30/09/2008 10:21

MD - hope everything goes well at Alder Hey today, poor little dd2, you must be so worried, please let us know how it went x.

Jammy, erm thanks for the tips on perineum , haven't given it much thought to be honest, but will now you've reminded me! Sorry I can't help out with disco lights or a bubble machine (I left the batteries in ours too in the shed, only threw it out the other day when having a sort-out). I can meet up Friday if you can think of somewhere to go for coffee .

Nemo, how are you all? .

biglips · 30/09/2008 10:39

MD - come back and let us know xx

OP posts:
MyDingaling · 30/09/2008 19:53

Big sigh of relief, DD2 scan on spine showed no abnormalities, all normal. Thank God. Just waiting for the scan results for her hips/feet. I am not worried about these though, as DD1 had the same problem but much worse.

BL hope your DD has a lovely birthday. This year has gone so fast!

friday is a good day for meet up so Ei can come. Can you make Friday andy?

How long left now Browny?

biglips · 30/09/2008 20:03
