Cant do Friday - going to a funeral (my gran - she was 85, and not well recently - 5 hour round trip to the north east of England with both kids intow!)

hope everyone is doing well
MD glad all is well with DD2s spine my friends DD has a spinal abnormality and my friend was told she would never walk by the docs at around 6 weeks old. she has baffled the docs though as she is now a 3 year old ice skater running around along with the other kids her lower spinal vertebrae are not attatched fully to her pelvis and it is apparantly a form of spina bifida she has not had any after effects of this as yet so she is incredibly lucky im so glad your DD is ok
jaamy what date is your DDs birthday party?? i have a small dora the explorer bubble machine if it is any use to you
BL lovely birth story i hope you are settling in nicely to being a mummy to 2 girls
browny how are you? when are you due?? its not long now is it??
nemo hope things are ok and H is feeling better
not much going on here at the mo me and a few of my friends went to salsa dancing lesson yesterday which was so good!!! we had a laugh and a cocktail and hardly spent any money i spent £6 altogether does anyone fancy it in a few weeks time? its on a monday night at 8 and me and my friends are going to try to go as a regular thing

Andy - sorry to hear about your gran. Hope you give her a good sned off. Take it easy on the journey - you're not driving, are you after your op?

Ei - I would really appreciate the loan of your (DD's?) bubble machine. I promise we'll look after it. DD2's party is on 11th Oct. All are welcome - I posted a general invite on this thread somewhere. Are you able to make the meet up on Fri (wherever we decide it is)?

MD - glad all so far so good with DD2.

Ei - sounds like Salsa was really fun and what a nice cheap night out!

I had a bit of a worrying time this afternoon, my midwife thought that the baby's heartbeat was way too fast today and wasn't slowing down, so she sent me off to the Women's to be monitored, she also said that the baby was in such a tight ball she might be distressed trying to move! She also couldn't tell if she was still breach .

Of course, I completely panicked, got a lift to hospital where dh met me. It turned out absolutely fine, apparently my midwife only listened to baby's heartbeat whilst she was moving (a lot) and didn't take this into account , the hospital midwife said as long as baby's heartbeat rose when she moved and slowed down when she stopped moving so much it was fine. The hospital midwife also seemed to think that baby isn't breach anymore but couldn't be certain. I'm off to bed now, think those three cups of cammomile tea have worked .

right I am skint but for a meet up on friday to avoid rain etc do you want to come here? should be able to chuck DC upstairs out of the way or somewhere and am sure I have some tea and coffee at least..maybe even a packet of custard creams

Thanks for all your good wishes - we have got an in-car DVD player which is absolutely fab - even DS like it now - but I am hoping he will sleep. I have dug out the footmuff for the pram as it is usually several degrees colder in the NE than over here - at least he will be snug!

I am off for a bath - and have sneaked the heating on for 20 mins as the bathroom is either freezing or cosy!!

whats happening friday then girls DDs in the childminders til 12 then we can go wherever.
good idea nemo i would be happy to come along to yours and i will provide some goodies to nibble on aswell how about everyone else??
browny im glad all is well with your baby xx we had a few scares with DD wen i was in late preg usually due to not feeling DD move and not being able to get a good trace on he HB monitor it was all caused by excess water of which i was carrying 2 litres

Browny - hope you are over your little shock. So, this one's going to be a little wriggler? Glad to hear all was ok.

Nemo - would love to come and bung up your house for a couple of hours. Will also bring goodies. What time do you want us? Do you think it will be another sedate session with older DCs at school?

Browny - can you get to Nemo's? Do we need to sort you out with lifts?

BL - hope DD1 had a fab day yesterday. HOpe you got the cards. Our post has been rubbish here lately.

Ei - what's that? Salsa? Sounds great! Did I hear you say you're going to organise our next night out???

what ever time will be in all day apart from the normal school run time..thats the only thing dont want people to feel kicked out but I have to leave at 2.50 ish to get adam.

Browny glad things with baby are ok.

Don't think we are able to make meet up tomorrow, DD1 has been up most of the night being sick and today she cant even keep water down. What a shame i was looking forward to it.

Hopefully we will be able to make next one

Browny just re read about DD3[doesnt that seem weird] being a little minx..she shall keep you on your toes and being the baby will have you all run ragged!!!

MD - hope DD1 is better soon. My DD2 will will miss her "pink baby A" and your DD1 whom she "likes very much"!

Nemo - have you got your sand bags out? This rain is awful. We are "available" from about 11.30 so will bring some lunch-type things and be with you some time before 12 if that's ok(ie about 1.30! ).

sorry but I can't make it tomorrow either (thank you for offering to sort me out with a lift Jammy), dh has just informed me that he has a physio appointment tomorrow afternoon, so he won't be able to drop me off/collect me from Nemos or be able to collect the gang from school, so it looks like I'll have to be around for the school run. Have fun with those custard creams without me... oh, that sounded a bit rude!

MD - hope dd1 sickness stops soon and dd2 doesn't catch it.

yes Jaamy - i rcvd the card yesterday on her bday ......she still cant believe she is 4! as she had been dying to be age 4 for a long time .

For tmrw cant make it anyway as got the Health Visitor coming in the afternoon.

hey ladies
sorry i wont be able to make it tomorrow as DDs childminder is taking her to the farm til 1 and by the time we get along to nemos it will be about 130-2 so what with taxi fares etc and not much cash as dh has spend alot of his half of the bill money things are a bit tight around here as of now!! im sorry i will try and sort something out to meet up next week or in a few weeks if anyone has some free time (i have some holiday days in a few week or on tuesday i am off as my CM is on holiday with DHs nan who minds DD so i had to get some time off work!)
MD i hope your DD1 is ok and has stopped being sick xx
jaamy il get the bubble machine out and bring it along to your DDs party with us(if u dont mind me coming)is it princesses and superheroes?

arrghhhh!!! DD1 had been sick!....A tummy bug is going round atm! as SD couldnt make it last week to come down here cos half of her school was off with the tummy bug!

Gotta keep DD1 off school tmrw even though she aint happy about that!

Ei - sorry you can't make it tomorrow. Think most of us are brassic at the moment. Will have to think of lots of nice (cheap) things to do. Will be lovely to see you and DD (and DH?) at DD2's party. The bubble machine will also be very welcome, thanks very much, though of course you will be welcome even without that! Will email you (and anyone else who is coming) directions - it's very near my house. 12.30 onwards, 11th Sept. Yes, tis princesses vs superheroes.
