Meet-ups

When meeting up take sensible precautions. Meet in a public place and let others know where you are going.

CROYDON (and surrounding areas) It's nearly summer. Shall we meet up in a park? All welcome.

What do you think? Suggestions please..

When we last met we said a park would be better.

As in the title all welcome

MissingMyHeels · 16/06/2008 21:17

turtle23 · 16/06/2008 21:21

splishsplosh · 16/06/2008 22:26

I could drive once upon a time, though think I have forgotten how. Don't have a car now, but I could get the 407 to Carshalton too, and I think I'm free Wednesday unless anything urgent crops up

mymblemummy · 17/06/2008 00:22

I can't do Wednesday, sadly, but have fun, all of you.

I'm always happy to talk slings; currently I have a pouch, ring sling, two mei tais and a soft structured carrier. Oh, and two Baby Bjorns I must get round to selling now the second baby's outgrown them. I did have a Wilkinet once but I didn't get on with it.
As I said, I have a bit of a habit.

I don't drive either - I don't think I've ever seen so many non-drivers on one thread, though I suppose it make sense - you soon see the merits of a sling if you're using public transport.

madamez · 17/06/2008 01:21

Anyone of you got older DC? Mine is 3.9 and we love parks.

splishsplosh · 17/06/2008 08:58

madamez - my dd is 2.5

Amandoh, it would be nice to see you again

turtle23 · 17/06/2008 09:23

turtle23 · 17/06/2008 09:24

baby, even

MissingMyHeels · 17/06/2008 09:27

2:30 is good, gives me plenty of time to get out of the house. It still feels a little bit like a military operation!!

Where exactly shall we meet? Turtle, I'll facebook you my mobile number so you can text/call me if anything changes on the day. Just so you don't miss me I have a bright blue Stokke Xplory!

turtle23 · 17/06/2008 09:40

Shall we meet here ? Is away from the ponds a bit, but out of the way.

turtle23 · 17/06/2008 09:45

I'll be wandering about with a wilkinet!

tyaca · 17/06/2008 11:01

have a nice time tomo guys.... i will be on your case to organise another meet up soon that i can come to!

madamez · 17/06/2008 11:44

We might venture to carshalton tomorrow as well. then (but unlikely to be there as early as 2.30. So if you are in the playground at the grange and you see a lively fair-haired preschool boy with glasses and a mum having a bad hair century and therefore probably wearing a black goth hoodie, then that will be us :-)

turtle23 · 17/06/2008 14:23

madamez-email me and i'll give you my mobile number if you like...then we can come find you! sarahturtlehopewell at gmail dot com

Hi again Diary no with the computer!
How are Monday 14th or Tuesday 15th of July for people?

OP posts:
turtle23 · 17/06/2008 21:23

I'm free the 14th and 15th.

Amandoh · 17/06/2008 23:42

Hi again,

Sadly I can't make tomorrow as my older children get home from school at around 3.30pm and my partner can't be here to let them in as he's got a really full week this week but hopefully I'll be able to make the next meet up.

I've got plans for the 15th of July but I'm free on the 14th.

Have a great time tomorrow and fingers crossed for nice weather.

mymblemummy · 17/06/2008 23:50

Drat, I shall be away the 14th and 15th. Any chance it could be earlier in the month, please Peachy?

Turtle, I hadn't really thought about a price yet. I'll be getting rid of a Baby Bjorn Active which has only been used by one baby. Does 35 pounds sound reasonable? With that I would chuck in a sun-faded but still useable old style Baby Bjorn Original, and a Baby Bjorn Carrier Cover which again, has only been used by one baby.

I do a school run to Sutton during the week. If you're interested perhaps we could meet up for coffee near the train station one afternoon.

splishsplosh · 18/06/2008 10:06

Sorry, think I'm not likely to make it either - if I get a chance I'll come along, but don't hang about for me. If you see us there / in playground, dd is mixed race, has little plaits in, and I'm wearing a flowery top & jeans

turtle23 · 18/06/2008 11:32

Well as it's just me going now, shall we plan another day?
(Not that I dont enjoy my own company.)

sillysausages · 18/06/2008 22:18

just like to say hello , i live in sutton but would love to meet up sometime but have a local school run
would also recommend a baba sling best sling ever
