OK - any ideas about when and where?

Oxford.

Scampmum · 13/05/2008 15:55

Surely you can get down to London for the day? I mean, you've only got three kids...

I was going to suggest somewhere really central like Covent Garden or Oxford street but they are hectic places to go to with babies. What about somewhere like Southbank? There are ple,nty of cafés there that are spacious enough for prams I think...

Scampmum · 13/05/2008 18:48

perfect - great idea, molly!

Sounds great to me too, especially in this weather. Fingers crossed that it lasts.

I'm in Greenwich, so would be easy enough to get to. I really look forward to this now!

Mum2BabyRoo · 13/05/2008 19:51

Southbank a great idea - easy for me to get to as well - hop on the train to Waterloo. But I guess it all depends when the MU is - can't see myself venturing anywhere just yet.

sagitta · 15/05/2008 11:38

If you all get on and decide to have a few meet-ups, I'll come to one as I go to London quite often. But its still pretty early days for me...

VictorianSqualor · 17/05/2008 23:10

Once you've arranged it if it's a ay I can manage I might get the tube into london, but I'll just see when it's for.

Scampmum · 20/05/2008 15:02

Next week? week after? Is there anyone else we should 'page'? Can't remember who is in London or nearby...

VS and Sagitta, would be ace to meet you too.

If next week I can do Mon, Tue or Wed. If any other week the day doesn't matter.

I can't remember who's in London and who not, sorry Scampmum. I guess once we've got a rough date indication we could post the link to this thread again on April postnatal?

VictorianSqualor · 21/05/2008 17:36

If it's next week I can do it, It's half-term so I'll have DD with me too, but it means I have no time restrictions with school runs etc.

Scampmum · 12/06/2008 11:49

OK, - I'm still up for this if anyone else is. Next week? Weds a good day for me as have to go to Guys for DD2's 'newborn' hearing screening but would have to go by 12.30 to pick up DD1. Anyone up for a morning coffee on the South Bank?

Sal22 · 12/06/2008 12:54

I've got something on on Wednesday morning, but would much rather meet up with you guys, so if everyone agrees on Wednesday, I'll think of some excuse To summarise my rambling: count me in! Except for Monday the rest of the week fine with me too, but as Scampmum has to be in the area then anyway, Wed does sound like the best day.

PortAndLemon · 12/06/2008 13:00

Only just seen this thread. Next Wednesday is really bad for me (have final postnatal group session in the morning and final baby massage course session in the afternoon), but any other Wednesday would be fine. Or any other day, really (I do have a class booked for Tuesday 11.30-12.30).

I could probably make an Oxford meet some time, too, with enough notice (my brother lives in Oxford and my MIL is just south of it).

LadyBee · 12/06/2008 21:44

I'd love to meet up too - Wednesday is fine for me as well, any day Monday is ok so far, and a south bank cafe is easy enough - Canteen are quite baby-friendly if it's a nice day and do nice puddings

LadyBee · 12/06/2008 21:46

any day EXCEPT Monday I meant.

scorpio1 · 12/06/2008 21:47

if i get about 3 weeks notice, i can come to london for a meet-up. have family in guildford

scorpio1 · 12/06/2008 21:48

but you buggers just have a meet-up the furthest away from me, lol. i propose next one in Cornwall!!

sagitta · 13/06/2008 11:21

I'll come to next one - if you all like each other and decide to do it again. But at the moment I'm struggling to get as far as the front door...

Scampmum · 13/06/2008 19:00

Shall we do the Weds after so PAL can make it? it's really easy for me to get into South Bank (Canteen great idea, Ladybee) so it's no worries to come in again. So that's Weds... 25th? Day after DD2's jabs (and day before BCG - damn, that's bad timing...).

OP posts:
Sal22 · 13/06/2008 20:33

Good idea, 25th fine with me too.

PortAndLemon · 13/06/2008 22:22

25th sounds good. Do we have a time or should we settle on that later?

LadyBee · 13/06/2008 23:04

25th is fine for me too - happy to settle time later, although seem to find it impossible to get anywhere before 11:30 so afternoon would suit me better.

Mum2BabyRoo · 18/06/2008 17:12

I can't make the 25th, but like Sagitta I will try make the next one if there is a next one.

Scampmum · 18/06/2008 18:31

Oh, that's a shame M2BR. Better hope we do all get on! Mornings are better for me because of DD1's nap and picking her up from nursery at 1, but if afternoon/lunchtime is better for everyone else I can pick her up early and bring her - that will mean that I can't speak to anyone without being punctuated by 'mummy sing the bear song', though...
