Hi, is there anyone from the Corby area of Northants? I saw a Northants topic but everyone was from Wellingborough, so I was wondering if there was anyone closer?

KatyLiz · 24/04/2008 12:31

You're doing well then! Are you saving for your holiday or just saving generally?

OP posts:
shelleylou · 24/04/2008 13:03

for holiday, got to getmy payment together and spending money

KatyLiz · 24/04/2008 13:57

I was just looking at haven etc, everything costs a fortune in the school holidays. I might try to get on the Sun's £15 holiday thing.
How's the plastering going? Did you get Josh's room done?

shelleylou · 24/04/2008 16:02

The plastering is done, just got to seal and redecorate joshs wall then completely decorate mine. Try www.buleribandholidays.co.uk they are quite reasonable even in school holidays.
Lol your not far from me then samie.

KatyLiz · 26/04/2008 06:42

It was nice meeting you yesterday Samie, I hope Oscar's in a better mood next time, lol!!
I got hubby to take me and the kids with him to his cousin's 21st, so Oscar didn't get to bed until 11.45pm, but he's still woken up at 5am this morning! I don't think anything will ever make him lie in!!
If we can all agree on a day next week I'll give Lucy the afternoon off of nursery so that we can meet in Kettering. I can do Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday if any of those days are any good for you two?

samiestresure · 26/04/2008 11:15

KatyLiz · 26/04/2008 12:50

oscar's tantrum lasted until I bought him a milky way, then it magically vanished! Glad you finally got some money, what a pleasant suprise! are you having a nice relaxing day without Logan then? the kids loved the party, for the first couple of hours it was more like a kids mini disco, Lucy was unstoppable.

shelleylou · 26/04/2008 22:18

hey,
I should be able to do a day next week not sure which at the moment though. Just to warn you josh has a new phrase if people are making a bit of noise.

KatyLiz · 28/04/2008 09:17

lol at Josh. let us know when suits you then, although I can't do tomorrow now as I'm meeting some other friends. Wednesday and Thursday are still fine though.

OP posts:
shelleylou · 28/04/2008 17:01

lol he says "shut up" shouted it at some girls in a car on saturday when mum had him. I should be able to do either day but cant say for definate at the moment

KatyLiz · 29/04/2008 15:11

lol Oscar's taken to saying 'please shut your mouth', but I think being polite makes it sound even worse! He's being weird lately as dh gave him a hair cut and now he screams if he's near a mirror or he catches his reflection in a shop window.

OP posts:
shelleylou · 29/04/2008 15:22

He mustnt like his new hair cut.
I'm not sure if well be able to make a meet up this week. Very concerned about josh. Got a thread about it on here.

samiestresure · 29/04/2008 15:49

oh dear wots up wiv josh?
soz i aint bin on dunno if i can meet this week i have had this tummy bug and now all my family are cummin down wiv it i would hate it if i passed it on to u both and kids!!

shelleylou · 29/04/2008 15:54

Possibly diabetes. Hes drinking 6 pints of fluid a day easily aand got the other classic symptons. Hes been for a urine test but im going to try get him in tomorrow for a blood test aswell. As it might not show in urine as it'll be early stages

KatyLiz · 29/04/2008 16:57

Oh poor Josh, hope he's ok. At least if you find out he's got it you'll be able to manage it. It must be worse not knowing.
Looks like this week is a no all round for meeting up, I can't make it either.
Let us know how it goes with Josh, and hope you're feeling better too Samie!

OP posts:
shelleylou · 29/04/2008 17:06

It is hard not knowing. If i knew he had it i could manage it and treat it itkwim. I will do. Thanks

samiestresure · 29/04/2008 18:11

oh dear that must b a nightmare. hopefuly u can get straight in there tomorra and find out. logans doing the opposite aat moment he isnot wanting to drink. he had his ultrasound yesterday to check his kidneys and urine tract and they said it looks ok. thank god. oh well we will have ta c about next week then. ah its not goin to well is it. am feeling a bit better but am hungery but dont wanna eat yet till i know i can keep it down aint really eaten since sunday nite!!

shelleylou · 29/04/2008 18:42

It is im so scared but really am trying to stay positive. Either way ill deal with it. Its really hard at the moment because i cant do anything. Been told to feed him as i usually would ie not to change his diet. All hes eaten today is half a slice of toast a small handfull of cereal 2 biscuits and fish fingers smiley faces with mushy peas with a tiny bit of jelly. It might sound a lot bit hes usually got a very healthy appetite.

Im glad his kidneys etc all look fine bet your feeling better now you know that. Just keep offering him tiny bits in a bottle. If its full he might just think arhhh you want me to drink all that and turn his nose up at it.

samiestresure · 29/04/2008 20:30

oh bless ya im sure it will all b fine. thats gud that u r trying to staypositive. i no its scary i fort the worst when logan had to go hospital i tryed not to panic but every senario was going through my head. let us know wot the docs say we will b thinking of u.

shelleylou · 29/04/2008 20:40

I've just found out thers another type of diabetes that causes joshs symptons and it cant be diagnosed by urine test definately going to demand a blood test now. I know how i felt when josh was in hospital at 9 weeks i felt helpless and terrified then and i feel exactly the same now. Thanks

shelleylou · 30/04/2008 17:14

Just to let you both know josh's urine sample came back clear but the doctor sent us to the hospital for blood tests.

KatyLiz · 01/05/2008 05:30

I'm glad Logan's ultrasound went well that must be a relief.
How are you feeling shelley? That seems like good news, but has that just worried you more that you don't have any answers yet? Hope the blood tests give you an idea what's going on. How is Josh eating/drinking now?

OP posts:
shelleylou · 01/05/2008 10:37

Im knackered lol, aint sleeping properly for checking on josh and worrying. Hes still drinking a lot but not as much as he has been. In a way it is worse as im not closer to knowing what is wrong with him. One of lifes little misteries i surpose.
