'Fraid I can't do meet ups any more. W*! Hope you all have a lovely time

bruhaha · 12/05/2008 20:23

free on monday, tuesday and friday

trixymalixy · 13/05/2008 21:51

Thursday and Friday mornings are best for me. Although i would do a Thursday or Friday afternoon if that suited everyone else best and just miss swimming and gymboree for one week.

bookthief · 14/05/2008 15:11

I'd be up for it - any time on a Thurs or Fri.

bookthief · 14/05/2008 15:16

p.s. I'm doing the Moonwalk in Edinburgh in the middle of June - just the half marathon because I'm v. unfit..

It's in aid of breast cancer research which is close to my heart as my mum is just coming to the end of her treatment (last chemo next week - yay fingers crossed etc).

Anyway, I know this is a big time of year for this sort of thing and there are a lot of requests for sponsorship floating around - all great causes - but I'm here if anyone fancies sponsoring me. I'll let you all know how I get on!

Did a 11.5 mile practice walk the other weekend and I was completely seized up for the next 2 days

midnightexpress · 20/05/2008 21:23

Hi all - hope everyone's well? Haven't been on for a while as we've been up north on hols - perfect weather and a really lovely chilled holiday. The boys loved seeing their grannies - both v grumpy at being sent back to nursery this morning .

How's work going Tallulah?

Mondays and Fridays good for me for a meet-up, especially mornings.

And I think 1st week in June is good.

weeonion · 20/05/2008 22:57

hey to you all.
sadly i cant do meet ups through the week either - back to work!

midnightexpress · 21/05/2008 16:52

Well, could we maybe do a weekend so that the back-to-workers can come too?

TALLULAHBELLE · 23/05/2008 10:31

Work sucks Thanks for asking though . A Sat or Sun coffee meet would suit me usually. However I am house-hunting just now so would have to fit in around viewings. Have sold my flat - move out 27th Jun & nowhere to go yet - yikes.

clu · 24/05/2008 21:38

hi not sure if anyone remembers me I was on a while ago, but not been on for ages. I live in the west end have a dd Lily who is nearly 7 months time has flown by. hope you are all well i look forward to catching up with all the news again.

JanieK · 26/05/2008 21:13

Hi everyone. I'm in Glasgow, southside and have a wee boy of 19 months. I only work part-time so am free Mon/Tues if anything is organised for then. Look forward to hearing from you.

WerefromCanada · 27/05/2008 11:32

Hello Ladies,

I live in the westend Glasgow , I'm here with my husband and dd who is 3. We are here from Canada for 6 months and I am desperatly looking for activites for my dd to do. I was hoping for a preschool in this area. Anyone know of any?
Also, I'm already bored of trying to have girl chat with my hubby...lol. I love coffee and would love to meet up.

midnightexpress · 27/05/2008 11:35

.

Right, gals, let's get this meet-up sorted - are we still on for 1st week in June (ie next week. Yikes. How did that happen). What about Friday morning? Or a weekend so that Tallulah and Weeonion can come too?

Sign up here, and maybe add stats, so the newbies can see who's here:

midnightexpress: ds1 2.6, ds2 16 months, Burnside

INeedAGuardianAngel · 28/05/2008 19:22

Hiya! It's been forever (and a name change -fmrly angelkg77) since we've been on here - oops! (and cannot possibly hope to catch up, but hoping all are well!) We are around next week and would love to meet-up - we're free (or can make ourselves free) pretty much any days other than Wednesdays...

(Waves to Midnight!) To add to the Stats:

INeedAGuardianAngel: DD1 nearly 5 months, Shawlands

midnightexpress · 28/05/2008 20:11

OMG - FIVE MONTHS already?? Where did that go???

INeedAGuardianAngel · 29/05/2008 12:57

I have no idea!!! Seems like a blur of sleepless nights and pooey nappies! And you won't believe the size of her - she was probably up to about 6 or 7 lbs when you saw her, but wee-Sumo was weighed this morning and found to be 17lbs 13oz!!! Dimples Everywhere!!!

How are your lovely boys?

marie75 · 30/05/2008 13:48

Hi everyone

I finally got around to looking at the forums on mumsnet. I've been subscribed to the emails since my son was born 3yrs ago.

I am probably a little early posting in the meet up section as I am only 21wks pregnant with no. 2 and still working full time. But I really hope to make the most of my mat leave this time. I only really got into the swing of it towards the end last time and felt awful going back to work when all the mums I?d met were going back to work part-time and still meeting up. Anyway enough moaning.

So Question 1 ? any ?mums to be? here due towards the end of the year ? October ?

Q2 ? Any Southside mums ? I am in Crookston, but last mat leave hung about in Queens park.

Where does the group met in Glasgow ? Is it one group or does it split into areas ?

Take care
Marie, Crookston, G53

dizzydixies · 30/05/2008 13:50

BexieID · 31/05/2008 06:32

I have 2yo Tom and can only really meet up on a wednesday or thursday as they are the only days I don't work. I can meet on other days if anyones closer to Dumbarton, iykwim.

lunachick9 · 02/06/2008 09:40

Morning - haven't been on here in a looong time as my two have been keeping me very busy. Doesn't look like I've missed any other meet ups but if there is one planned soon I'd love to pop along.

The girls are now more than 7 months old and I'm back at work two weeks today but only full time for two weeks before the summer and then I go back part time after the summer holidays.

Hope everyone is well and I'm going to try and catch up with this thread whilst the girls nap (a rare occurance!)

littlepig · 02/06/2008 13:21

Hi
Found this by chance when Googling for activities in Glasgow for my 4 month old son - hadn't found much until I started scanning the thread so lots to look into now!!

If people are meeting up in Glasgow during the week I'd like to come along. I'm in the Gorbals so city centre and south side are both really easy...

TALLULAHBELLE · 02/06/2008 20:11

Hi to all newbies!

Won't be able to do weekend meet up Midnight as am cat sitting for the folks, so go ahead with midweek plans.

Stats: Tallulahbelle, DD almost 1, West End.

INeedAGuardianAngel · 04/06/2008 09:57

Right, so as it's the first week in June already and we haven't quite solidified plans yet...Can I propose the People's Palace next Friday June 13 at 10:00 a.m.? Ooooh Friday the thirteenth!?!?

Show of hands for who can make it....

INeedAGuardianAngel & DD1

bigface · 04/06/2008 14:40

Hi there - I am moving to Glasgow at the start of August and was wondering did anyone know of any good nurseries in the west end and general toddler friendly things to do in that area - my wee boy will be 2 and a half then.

I'd really appreciate getting some advice.

Many thanks
