Would love to meet up - what sort of thing were you thinking of?

Desiderata · 02/10/2007 19:24

Hi! I was only suggesting to another MNer yesterday that another Bristol meetup was overdue.

I'm glad dd is out of hospital. I don't know the history, but I hope everything's OK.

I have one ds who's three in November.

I suggest we keep bumping this for a while to see if some others might be interested. I'm thinking, in this weather, the Museum might be a good idea ... what do you think?

MaeWest · 02/10/2007 19:32

Museum fairly central too, and caff is nice I seem to remember...

Desiderata · 02/10/2007 19:37

The caff is lovely ... and they've got a little play area right in front of it at the moment.

fransmom · 02/10/2007 19:38

hi all, i am in weston but would love to meet-up. i could get to central city fairly easily as well

Hi, fran!

Yes, the museum is pretty good for non-drivers, too. It's just a short bus-ride for me and a leisurely stroll up Park Street. For you, one long bus-ride from Weston ... and heyho! A leisurely stroll up Park Street!

Those of us with toddlers can take it in turns to show them around a few things whilst the others get on with their blueberry muffins.

Museum sounds good. There's a wheelchair bus at 9.45 from here thats rather handy. I'm assuming this is the museum at the top of Park street?
Could do Tuesday or friday next week or tomorrow (thursday)
Any takers fortomorrow?

MaeWest · 04/10/2007 19:14

Sorry, been at work all day today (and at boring conference so couldn't skive and MN for a bit a lunchtime). Wednesdays or Fridays I can usually do...

needmorecoffee · 04/10/2007 19:40

How about next Friday? Wednesday I got a telephone interview with BIBIC to see if we should take dd there.
Meet about 10.30?
Where is the cafe in the musem? I've only ever been in as far as the toilet.

museum sounds good - ds loves it there.

I was wondering where you had gone bobalinga

MY ds will be 3 on sat.

CAn do next friday, but not sure of dates after that.

I have got a job! Didn't get the one I wanted, but they offered me another instead

Desiderata · 04/10/2007 20:09

OK ... I can do Friday, but I'll have to change my work around a bit.

Coffee, the cafe is in the next hall from the toilets. You just follow a straight line from the front door, go past the toilet corridor, and the cafe is ... in front your mush

needmorecoffee · 04/10/2007 20:39

I'll follow the cake smell

OP posts:
TheArmadillo · 04/10/2007 21:47

sorry I seemed to have invited myself without asking

hope noone minds

Desiderata · 04/10/2007 21:53

Yeah, I mind. Bog off 'dillo. You're not welcome at the Museum

CrookshanksinJimmyChoos · 04/10/2007 22:56

Oooh another meet up

Next Friday is good for me too...won't be fasting then as AF in town so can luxuriate in actually having something to eat in the day!

NeedmoreCoffe - I've text you a few times but no reply - was getting worried about your DD. Would have popped over but don't like turning up on spec and also DS and I have had colds which I didn't want to pass on!

Desiderata · 04/10/2007 23:01

Ahh, excellent. Here comes the Crook.

So, Ramadan turns a blind eye at the blueberry muffin, and all is well with the world

CrookshanksinJimmyChoos · 04/10/2007 23:04

I look forward to seeing you too Desi

Maewest - I still owe you a pud AND have your tupperware! Please don't let me forget if you come along!

Desiderata · 04/10/2007 23:06

Jeez! You would take another woman's tupperware

CrookshanksinJimmyChoos · 04/10/2007 23:10

I'm a closet tupperware fan! lol! She left then in in IKEA when we did meet up ageeeees ago and I kindly 'looked after' them...haven't used them...as much as I've been tempted to when have run out of tupperware...I have resisted!

I'm off to bed...I've been having far too many late nights latey and its affecting my stunning beauty...roffle!
