Okay, it appears pick the Friday before half term is a tupid idea (see this thread) so we are trying again. Squiffy and I have come up with some more dates. Anyone who wants to join us is welcome to do so.

well, for a limited period only I have posted some pictures on my profile so I don't have to wear a carnation next week... Kewcumber, I've checked you out picture-wise (stalker that I am) so I will be able to recognise you, but legalalien, you are a mystery in the image stakes, so you will have to come find us (but I think you already know Kew anyway?).

It will be my first time getting squiffy for a long time so am v.excited (which is not so good as far as my pelvic floor is concerned, but never mind)

unfortunately I don't know a soul, and I'm quite shortsighted, so I'll just have to post a description of what I'm wearing on the day, and lurk outside Bulgari or something (general description not going to work as I am sort of middle height, middle sized, and with mid length hair. There's a fairly good chance that I will have a fairly battered looking teal macpac backpack in my possession (style icon that I am). And red glasses.

I'm starting to feel quite excited about this now (must be the fact that generally I have no independent-of-work social life (or social life generally, for that matter)......)

Sorry everyone, but I think I will bow out of this one. Having been battling a chest infection, tonsilitis and sinusitis all week, I have been left feeling pretty wiped out. Plus I have to drive to Bristol on Friday to spend the weekend with family for my neice's birthday, with children but minus dh.

really, really sorry about this but will have to bow out after very briefly bowing in.

dfil died last friday following a serious illness and the funeral is scheduled for friday morning, requiring an early start in the bossy household.

therefore i don't think it's a good idea to be out carousing the night before for a number of reasons.
