Balerno is lovely beansmum, when did you move? I am in the East of Edinburgh.

beansmum · 11/09/2004 22:25

moved here in april, Balerno is nice but not really settled in properly yet. i used to live at the top of leith walk, really miss being in town. I miss valvona and crolla!

Yes, bit further down but make the effort to visit V & C and real foods! did you get more for your money? or flat to house? sorry if thats a bit personal, don't meant to pry but we are looking at moving out of town.

beansmum · 11/09/2004 22:50

i was sharing a student flat so this is the first place that is just mine. don't really know about prices, this is just closer to uni for me.

And i've got a garden! not very big but all mine!

what course are you doing beansmum? Admire you studying and looking after a babe!

beansmum · 13/09/2004 13:50

doing maths at Heriot Watt, starting 3rd yr in 3wks. Should be interesting trying to study and look after bean but luckily he has been an absolute angel so far.

There must be more than 2 of us in edinburgh!

Hi beansmum,

lived in edinburgh till about a year ago. I'm now near Falkirk. Still work there. Dh actually works at heriot watt (not the maths dept though)
There was an Edinburgh meet about a year ago which I went to, so there are a few of use there or thereabouts.
I would be interested in another meet-up if it fitted in with work etc

beansmum · 13/09/2004 21:03

bump (again)

midden · 14/09/2004 21:04

beansmum how old is your ds? I am fascinated you have kept up good work at uni and are doing such an academic course, well done!! my brain is sludge!!!

spots · 14/09/2004 21:11

aha! I am in Fife... ex of Edinburgh and still within reach (I can see you from here!)

midden · 14/09/2004 21:12

how are you spots?

spots · 14/09/2004 21:12

I mean, I would like to come too...

spots · 14/09/2004 21:12

yeh, really good thanks midden!

spots · 14/09/2004 21:13

you?

beansmum · 14/09/2004 21:14

midden- don't be too amazed just yet! haven't actually done much studying since ds was born, except a bit of revision. he's only 15wks so its just been the summer holidays. it might all go horribly wrong still!

OP posts:
midden · 14/09/2004 21:17

spots, I am fine trying to work but hooked on MN!!!

beansmum still admire you. I left uni when I was about 4 months pg, could'nt cope even before my ds was born (and knew I would never go back I guess)

beansmum · 14/09/2004 22:05

think being addicted to MN is going to be a bigger problem than looking after ds! must turn this computer off!
