get away with you Cov - luring my potential school runner out to the country-side...

stepfordwife · 23/07/2007 15:55

yes, yes , kew (soothingly) if that makes you feel better..

well, i'm jusy glad we bought this place 18 months ago because we wouldn't be able to afford it now. but who can actually afford the property they buy, eh? eh?

Kewcumber · 23/07/2007 15:55

dunno Mellow - not sure what the difference is - Prima I think. My mum has decided to look at the article/photos before telling anyone

mellow2 · 23/07/2007 15:56

The reason I won't venture out of London is because I get "funny looks" by the locals when I do.

I certainly wouldn't be comfortable living outside London.

bought a great housewarming card once - "Traditioanlly people send gifts to owners of a new house.....

So I have sent your bank a pot-plant"

ComeOVeneer · 23/07/2007 15:57

A but KC she makes Sushi and I love sushi.

I have been sitting here MNing for the last 1.5 hours as both the children are asleep , a busy weekend and the end of term have really taken it out of dd. Do you think it will last all holidays?

ComeOVeneer · 23/07/2007 15:58

OOo KC is the magazine out yet?

Kewcumber · 23/07/2007 15:58

I wouldn;t mind so much for myself (being an adult and making choices etc) but don't like the idea of gherkin-kun being an oddity. OF course when I find myself singing aloud "wheels on the bus" in the supermarket I do doubt my consitency in that approach

butterbeer · 23/07/2007 16:34

I quite like the look of that Thames Ditton one...

But we are not moving. I think I shall just have to throw some Stuff out instead.

foxcub · 23/07/2007 16:36

LOL at that card Kew!

Sushi - it says under offer - is it on the market again?

StarryStarryNight · 23/07/2007 17:03

I quite like this house But my husband says I have my aspirations set too high. Quite....

foxcub · 23/07/2007 17:16

He's talking rubbish starry. Mind you, you could just tell him you'll need to get a new DH, who can afford to keep you in the manner you aspire to...

foxcub · 23/07/2007 17:18

have just bought a tread mill so at least I can "get out" when its raining

Paddle I got the cheapie Argos one , as I can't be arsed bidding on e-bay then driving to deepest Basildon !

stepfordwife · 23/07/2007 17:27

foxcub · 23/07/2007 17:29

So the freelance work has taken off then eh?

Steppy - just left a message on your moby

StarryStarryNight · 23/07/2007 17:29

Paddlechick666 · 23/07/2007 17:50

all these lovely places make mine look like the maid's quarters: www.findaproperty.com/displayprop.aspx?edid=00&salerent=0&pid=634508&agentid=04056
LOL

ps: foxie, i think you can officially be labelled a lazy-arse which is weird as you've just bought a treadmill!

SushiMummy · 23/07/2007 17:51

ooops! Just realised it's under offer. Just walked past the house on the way back home and it looked a bit small from outside.

I'm deffo staying put here in Kew or London for the same reason as Mellow and QC described.

Paddlechick666 · 23/07/2007 18:04

MrsR, apparently dd saw a clown today (whilst cm picked up her ds from a party) and threw a huge wobbly!

she was still quite subdued when i picked her up. poor thing!

note to self: no clown oriented birthday parties!

stepfordwife · 23/07/2007 18:24

mrs r..that's sad, isn't it?

paddle - lots of kids, and indeed adults, are scared of clowns, aren't they? it's because the younger the child, the more they depend on facial expressions and visual cues to "read" a person as their verbals skills aren't fully developed. so, anyone obscuring their face - ie a clown or wearing any sort of mask scare the bejyasus out of them..

thought i'd share...
well I think it's interesting anyway

SushiMummy · 23/07/2007 18:43

Paddle, I am terrified of clowns and scared of certain dolls, too. I used to have nightmares till late teens. Poor littlepaddle!

Kewcumber · 23/07/2007 19:34

but starry that one is close to railway line

more my kinda thing

rosmerta · 23/07/2007 21:12

Hi all,

Our next move will definitely be out of London, we just can't agree on where atm!

I have posted on the Nanou thread but same as mellow, if it is at Cov's then I don't think I could make it.

Are there meet-ups happening this week? Am I & ds allowed to come?

StarryStarryNight · 23/07/2007 21:15

Rosmerta, you coming to Cho San for sushi tomorrow evening 8 pm? (putney)

rosmerta · 23/07/2007 21:19

Oh I forgot about that, yes I am starry if that's ok?
