Biglips, yes I did get your text but I've no credit on my phone yet, don't worry about the clothes I'll give them to our charity shop, hope you are all o.k. .

Biglips · 26/06/2007 12:50

yeah we are doing great. Just in the middle of doing DIY around the whole house so im doing the bathroom atm.
how everyone on here is doing ok? as strange weather too!!

Boredveryverybored · 26/06/2007 13:42

It's around the corner Browny, if you walk past the gates towards 'the main road' the little road on your left.
It is a house, and it has a garden I can't wait!

Not particularly looking forward to the packing though! lol

Browny · 26/06/2007 15:12

BVVB, I'll have a look when I pick the kiddies up in a sec., I'm made up for you, it'll be lovely for you and your little dd .

Browny · 26/06/2007 15:49

BVVB, so is it by the church or does the road's name begin with a C?

Boredveryverybored · 26/06/2007 16:21

I'm sitting here trying to think of a road near there that begins with a C No it's the other side from the church. If you were walking past the school towards M Ave, its on your left, the school railings go halfway down the road. Begins with a P.

This is making me laugh, all this effort to not say the name of the road

Browny · 26/06/2007 20:01

BVVB, , I think I know now, is the last letter of the road M? If that's the road my dd1's best friend lives in that road. God knows what anyone else reading this thread is thinking! When are you moving?

Boredveryverybored · 26/06/2007 20:09

Yep, thats the one got there in the end!
Not sure when we're moving yet, don't have a date. But hopefully in the next month or so.

Biglips · 26/06/2007 20:53

are we playing scrabble here??

Nemo2007 · 26/06/2007 21:42

woo hoo am all excited just bought a new pram yes I do have a problem..but its for times when H wants to walk like to the shops etc as she is proving to hate being strapped in unless food and drink is provided or she needs a sleep. So got a pram on ebay that was £60 posted is brand new and will let C be rear facing so can chat to her as we walk.

BVBB hope your move goes well..think I know where you are talking about and should be lovely.

Browny · 26/06/2007 22:12

Hurrah at last!!!, that's a lovely, quiet little road and so close to the park, you're so lucky .

Biglips,

Browny · 26/06/2007 22:24

Nemo, looks like you've grabbed yourself a bargain there, well done! Hope you have many miles of happy buggy pushing .

stoppinattwo · 26/06/2007 22:32

I cant do that weekend either jaamy sorry C has a huuuuge footie tournament and cant do them with hangovers .

How about the first friday in August for the sefton park meetup???

that would be the 2nd????? or the following week the 9th??

Fridays are best for me (purely selfish) as im taking each friday off during the hols and have to works the rest of the week but i can probably swap about if necessary

OP posts:
Nemo2007 · 26/06/2007 22:46

either of those dates for sefton park is fine for me.

Browny · 26/06/2007 22:51

Just to let you know that I don't know if I'll be about the last week in July and the first two weeks of August. Dh is on his shutdown holiday period and we don't know when we'll be going away yet, we're going to see what the weather is like and then just go. We're thinking of Flamingo Land in Yorkshire .

Nemo2007 · 26/06/2007 23:06

browny Malton is lovely and you are only about 40mins drive from scarborough aswell.

Browny · 26/06/2007 23:20

Nemo, where is Malton?

stoppinattwo · 27/06/2007 07:47

ooooooooooooooooooh browny, flamingo land is fab, I have been there tonnes of times, nemo is right malton is cool, spent most of my childhood summers there!! my grandma had a farm up ther which my mum lives in now, bout half a mile from flamingo land may pop up there when your around, there are tonnes of places to go around and about.

SunnyJaamy · 27/06/2007 07:58

Congrats on buggy Nemo - hope the P+T doesn't feel too neglected!

Most Thurs/Fris are ok for me for a Sefton park jobbie!

OK, just for BL, cos I think she's gonna have some kind of break down if we don't sort something out!!:

It's either after Browny's done flamingoland - It's FAB by the way, Browny, never been but just thought I'd jump on the band wagon!!!! - 17th 18th Aug

Or before Browny's done Flamingoland - 13th/14th July - Not intending to drink (think It's my turn to drive) so I can go to Noddy Live on the 15th!! Whooohooo! Dragging DH along this time - he's deeeeelighted!

Or we could do another day in the week - perhaps a Thursday since SA2 is gonna be off on Fridays to recover from her hangover!

Browny · 27/06/2007 09:59

Stoppin, I'm so glad you said it's great as I've never met anyone who's been before. Can you suggest anywhere else around there to visit too? Be brilliant to meet up there one day, as I've said we're going to play it by ear and go when the weather is really nice, the other two weeks will no doubt be spent in the caravan somewhere .

Jammy, ahh thank you for trying to organise a meet up so I can be there too, I'm sorry to be such a nuisence. If anyone would like to meet up next week in the park (if the weather gets better), I can do that too .

stoppinattwo · 27/06/2007 12:36

there are a few places you could go to outside of flamingo land.

there is eden camp, which is a good 1/2 day out about 10 minutes away from flamingo land, tis a WW2 historical place, really good for the kids to visit, v interesting.

Pickering, you can take a steam train ride - about 15-20 minutes away - loverly quaint village too.

There is a place called hutton le hole where we always go, its a bit off the beaten track but it has a stream that runs through the village where you can have a great picnic and the kids can safely play in the stream.

I would say the boredom would set in at flamingo land after about 3 days, althoug there is also a swimming pool there which is good, itsd got a few slides in and a wave pool i think.

Flamingo land would be good for all your brood, it suits all age ranges,

you must go and watch the seal show its really good.

If i am able to get up there I will show you where hutton le hole is would make a good place for a meetup , there is another mnetter going up there at the end of august too what dates are you going??

OP posts:
Biglips · 27/06/2007 14:17
