Wow! We filled a thread!

Hope you all find this new one!

Our evening was great, had a lovely time. kids were all very well behaved. dd sleeping in our bedroom is a nightmare tho - she's sooo noisy!

we need a 3rd bedroom

we're off for Sunday lunch at The Botanist later YUM!

2cute, we're scheduled to have skids that weekend but not confirmed yet. if we do, not sure if i could come and don't want to invite 2 extra kids and dh as that'd be rather cheeky! if we don't then we'll be there

it's far too early for a Sunday!

agree with eleusis re. the fingers need to be 100% cod. We buy birds eye too but M&S are faberooni (v. expensive though)

we like smoked haddock - oily and tres tasty - yum!!

apparently organic milk has 70% more omega3 than non-organic - but th

Paddle - find anything yet?

MrsR - glad we're not the only ones having to carefully juggle our money !!

foxabout2pop · 21/02/2007 20:43

You sure you're doing it properly?

Paddlechick666 · 21/02/2007 20:52

well my head bluddy hurts!

we have organic milk, dd has pretty much organic everything.

i get the scrapings and rubbish tho !

let no one call me a bad mother - despite i leave her in front of Pingu all the time!

OP posts:
Eleusis · 21/02/2007 20:57

I don't even know what pingu is. But my DD now has an imaginary fiend. She talks to him/her/them. A horse named Pinto. And another horse -- also named Pinto. And ther is a baby horse "of course!". Can't remember it's names.

Aren't imaginary friends supposed to be human?

foxabout2pop · 21/02/2007 21:00

DD has some imaginary friends who are animals

She said today: "mummy, I've got some animals on my head. They're crocodiles with big sharp teeth and they keep biting me!"

Eleusis · 21/02/2007 21:03

DD shares her dinner with Pinto. I tell her he's not real and she says, he's right here next to me...

Weirdo!

My sister has several imaginary friends. It must be genetic. My sister is really smart, maybe that's a good sign?

foxabout2pop · 21/02/2007 21:12

How old is your sister then?!

suejonez · 21/02/2007 21:36

BirdsEye Cod OF COURSE - salmon thingies from Tesco sound good are they frozen like fishfingers - are they saem shape or lump shaped? Are tehy Tescos own make?

Paddle if you had to feed your child jarred of babyfood sitting on your lap for a month you would find nice neat avocados a breeze...

pudding77 · 21/02/2007 21:37

ele, I had an elephant as an imaginary friend apparently, only I couldn't say elephant so it was effefunt! Watch out for when you leave it at the bus stop .

What's going on with all the hummous? Tried to buy some in two supermarkets and was told its been taken off the shelves. What have I missed?

sfxmum · 21/02/2007 21:40

it was a salmonella alert everything was recalled last week i think the hummous i mean

sfxmum · 21/02/2007 21:45

about fish fingers i avoid cod and go for haddock for fish stocks reasons, byrds eye are good M&S better dd likes salmon and pretty much any other fresh fish too

i will prob need to dash to the shop in the morning, don't really have much in for packed lunches

pudding77 · 21/02/2007 21:52

Ds isn't keen on fish, though he did like fish fingers (only had them once) and he will eat tuna if its cooked in a tomato sauce. I'll have to try some of those salmon bites and try and get some more omega3 into him!

I don't know how I missed the salmonella thing - we've been having hummous all week .

Anyway, off to bed now so I'm not too tired for tomorrow! Though will I be able to sleep with the excitement...

foxabout2pop · 21/02/2007 21:53

Me too - off to have sweet dreams about pig races and the like

pudding77 · 21/02/2007 21:53

V quickly - I've got some borrowed books I think from Paddle, Sfx & Foxie, let me know if you'd like me to bring them along tomorrow.

Also Sue, still have a couple of jackets I can bring along for your ds if you'd like - again, let me know.

foxabout2pop · 21/02/2007 21:57

Puds - bring em back when you've finished reading em.

Guess what - the second person on my ante-natal thread has given birth!!!!

OMG!!!!

ComeOVeneer · 21/02/2007 22:09

DD has an imaginary freind who is a mouse (called squeky) although actually he hasn't been around for a few weeks. I may not be making tomorrows meet as I have developed a blotchy red rash on my face, chest, back and arms. Not itchy but rather odd.

2Cute · 21/02/2007 22:33

CoV - your the third person I've spoken to this week who's developed a sudden red rash. Assuming its the same, apparently it's some sort of viral infection doing its rounds.

Being a hippy mum, its vege fingers for DS

Sue - glad D had a good time with the CM Question is how were you through the day?

Paddle - Hope you manage to get together for your anniversary.

Paddlechick666 · 22/02/2007 07:36

morning all

dd is still asleep - snoring in fact.

i just went into her room and it stinks so she also has a full nappy!

right, i'm going to make our lunch while she sleeps.

see y'all later

OP posts:
pudding77 · 22/02/2007 07:57

I wish ds was still asleep, I'm exhausted for some reason. Still don't know what I'm bringing for his lunch so better get thinking and sort something out...

Paddlechick666 · 22/02/2007 08:20

she didn't wake up till 8:10 and that's only after i really clattered about!

OP posts:
sfxmum · 22/02/2007 08:22

morning all
i am exhausted dd seems to have been fighting imaginary foes all night and keeping me awake she is of course full of beans now and i want my be

no idea what to pack for lunch missing a few dd essentials oh well there are shops

foxabout2pop · 22/02/2007 08:33

Hi all

I'm just making some sandwiches for me and the kids are having something that DD smuggled into my trolley on Tues - a tray full of party food (sausage rolls etc). Think I might have some ginger bread persons too somewhere...

I woke at 1.45 am this morning worrying about my Dad's laissez fair attitude to his forthcoming responsibilities on the "big day" (him: "oh yeah, I'll try and get there - anyway, you've got neighbours who can help haven't you?").

Anyway I made a cheese sandwich and 1/2 a glass of wine and turned on the TV and there was a funny prog called "The Madness of Modern Parenting" - about what parents will do to get their DCs into a good state school.

One Dad suggested that school league tables should include information like:

How many children go skiiing each year
How many children know who their father is

It was very funny!

Anyway my Stepmum has promised to keep my Dad on a short leash next week so he available!!

Will let the monsters sleep till 9am, ass they didn;t go to bed until 10pm last night!!

Eleusis · 22/02/2007 08:47

Ok, first and foremost, my sister had imaginary frinds . One of them was named Archess (God only knows where she got that). She was probably about 4 or so. I don't really know. She is 5 years older than I am so I only know the stories.

I can't remember who makes salmon bites (maybe young?). They are in chunks, not long shaped fish fingers. I just looked on the Tesco site and couldn't find them. Maybe they don't carry them any more???

foxabout2pop · 22/02/2007 08:49

Actually I have an imaginary friend too...his name is Luigi and he's 6 ft, with well oiled skin and wears leather thigh boots!

Paddlechick666 · 22/02/2007 08:59

pmsl foxie!

can i have his brother?
