phoenix I got so much stick from dh for buying it, he accused me of being a lefty social worker who wears clogs and smokes a pipe - no stereotyping in our house then!!! I swear I don't usually buy it I do buy the Times though, that's probably worse!!

gingermonkey · 11/02/2007 19:00

I only read the magazine, phoenix . I liked the wigwam but it had too many stars indicating it was a bit difficult for me!

gingermonkey · 11/02/2007 19:01

we get the times too, every day except saturday (DH likes the guardian for the guide!)

PhoenixGirl · 11/02/2007 19:09

We don't always buy a paper but if dh does its the truth telling Sun for us. He HAS to have sunday papers or he can't function and he gets even better ones, The News Of The World and The People

We only get the Times on a weekend and then only if we're having a lazy weekend, otherwise we don't have time to read it. We're always taking th pee out of my MIL who's always saying I read an article in the Times the other day..............

gingermonkey · 11/02/2007 19:12

The News of the World is quality. My FIL buys the Mirror (I think) on a sunday, it has a magazine called celebs which is sooo tacky - I love it and SIL and me fight over who is having it first!

thethirdwisemonkey · 11/02/2007 19:13

ooohhh Screws of the World. My grandad used to get that years ago, I based my understanding of man/woman relationships upon it.

thethirdwisemonkey · 11/02/2007 19:17

Right going to ponce off now and make some birthday cards, while DH watches Topgear and I pretend not to - Jeremy Clarkson - urgh !!!Richard Hammond - ahhh bless, James May - amusing but get yer hair cut.

PhoenixGirl · 11/02/2007 19:18

I luuuuurrrrvvvvvveee Richard Hammond

James May is my fave. The Hamster is too tiny and has a silly voice and Clarkson is very funny but annoying. I love top gear, but then I love cars and get very excited by the flash ones. It looks a bit dull tonight, they are doing a fly drive to Florida and buying cars instead of hiring. I want astons, ferraris, porsches and (my fave) maseratis!!!!!!

PhoenixGirl · 11/02/2007 19:24

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww

PhoenixGirl · 11/02/2007 19:25

James May that is not the cars

OP posts:
gingermonkey · 11/02/2007 19:27

was just about to ask - thought you were a freak or something!!!! . I don't like James May in a fancy sort of way, I just think he's a nice sensible sort you could have round for lunch on a sunday. Clarkson would scare the cat and Hammond is too short (and I am afraid of short men)

PhoenixGirl · 11/02/2007 19:29

Yeah but you're a giant compared to little cute Richard

OP posts:
gingermonkey · 11/02/2007 19:31

true.

PhoenixGirl · 11/02/2007 19:32

We're watching Cheaper By The Dozen 2 now then we'll be watching Top Gear

I'm, surprise, surprise, doing some washing and then going to put DD to bed. She should be home soon and she has been tired and grumpy all weekend. I need to sort out her school bag for tomorrow so we don't forget it in the morning.

PhoenixGirl · 11/02/2007 19:39

I've done washing today too 3 loads i think but no ironing

OP posts:
gingermonkey · 11/02/2007 19:41

no ironing for me today . Did it all yesterday though! DD has just got back so I'm going to put her to bed (a bit early but she needs the sleep) and get ready for top gear! She said the church service was boring - I could have told her that!!!!! ha ha ha! She'll probably drop out of choir now

PhoenixGirl · 11/02/2007 19:44

Ok, we're gonna sky+ top gear now cos the dog wants a walk so dh has to take him soon i'll be here later (probably) if u are

Good evening! Well the highlight of my day was a trip to Asda! Actually, that's not true, trace2 came round to collect some baby stuff so that was a welcome visitor! Oh my, I've now had a Mnetter in my home

William has had a couple of funny does today so again I'm a bit but must keep it together a bit more.

Off to be a real slob now and eat pizza and drink red wine in my jim jams!

PhoenixGirl · 11/02/2007 20:11
