Hi,

Is there anyone around from Exeter? I'm 26 and have a 15 week old daughter, so I've just come out of the exhausting newborn stage and would love to meet up with some other mums

Hi, I am a 40 yr old divorced mum with three children 5,7,9. I have recently moved to a village near Exeter from Tavistock and it would be lovely to get intouch with other mothers in the area.

hi walnutshell, i am useless at this i cant find where to tick for you to email me? h27

Spicedfennelwine · 08/12/2006 14:05

hi Tangodevon, many of us are new to the area too.

you just missed an evening meet up but we are going to meet again in January sometime maybe. and some people might be meeting next Friday morning 15th Dec, if you're around then. it's been suggested we meet at 10ish at Dinkys cafe.

are you going to give us a clue which village you've moved to? I've already disclosed my village on one of these threads

Hi Walnutshell, hope your househunting is going OK. Have you considered the upper Pennyslyvania/Whipton areas in Exeter? They are on a bugger of a hill but the houses are more affordable. Try Collins Road, EX4, on multimap and that is the sort of area I mean.

Walnutshell · 10/12/2006 20:31

Hi h27, I know what you mean, it all takes some getting used to! Sign into 'your registration' (link is under 'useful stuff') then scroll down towards the end and there is an option for other users to C-A-T you - click the button next to it to enable. Hope that's clear, I'm a glass of wine down! I'll be back later or tomorrow xx

Lesleyworm, I am on Google Maps looking at the area you suggest and thanks! Although - "bugger of a hill" LOL!

Wasn't there a plan hatched last week to meet up at Dinky's tomorrow (Friday) at 10am. It was on a thread started by Baysmum.

Baysmum are you around and still interested?

h27 · 18/12/2006 14:24

Walnutshell · 18/12/2006 19:25

Oh, thank you so much h27. I've sent a message which Mumsnet will forward to your registered email and from there you can just reply to my email address. I don't think it always gets sent instantly, but you should get my msg in the next 24 hours.
Thanks again xx

Hi, Sorry I haven't replied with all the childrens Christmas activities going on I have been running around like a headless chicken. I am living in Aylesbeare village and my children are at Rockbeare School. I'm sorry I missed meeting you all on the 15th, but it would be great to meet up in the New Year. I am thinking of going to the Jiving in Exeter after Christmas and dragging my partner with me! Has anyone been? Do you know if it is any good?

Baysmum · 19/12/2006 10:23

Hi Everyone,
sorry just re-looked at this thread after a hectic weekend doing family christmassy stuff. Am around a lot both before and after christmas though Fridays not so good for me. Tuesdays and Thursdays much better. Wd be lovely to meet up before Christmas but I appreciate that many of you may be v busy - and school breaks up today - so othewise after Christmas?

Walnutshell · 23/12/2006 19:58

hello mums,
I'm moving to St. Leonards in a couple of months and I'm a bit scared after reading some of your comments, as I am moving from Crouch End in London which is a very friendly baby town.
I have a 13 year old daughter and a 13 month old baby girl and would love to find out about what goes on in Exeter as I will be looking for baby groups and swing parks!

Hope to hear from you,

x

Hi all, bit dubious about this, but stumbled accross you all and thought I'd give it a go. I'm from Redhills and have 2 daughters - 3 and nearly 6. Hi!

fennel · 22/03/2007 11:43

hi 2babesmum. there's a more recent exeter thread with a very similar title, which people have been posting on.
