morning all

i am smug in my ownership of the Escale menu. obviously the "leaflet-ers" in Isleworth are more conscientious than they are in Kew.

i expect you'll find yours stuffed in someone's wheely bin FF and Yanks.

regards lifts and snickerdoodles, i am prepared to accept an IOU for later delivery. and don't be trying to sneak out of snickerdoodles by claiming the recipe is in the US!!!!!

i read my Kew welcome pack last night and am quite excited about the prospect of spending lots of time there getting to know the place. not sure it will help me in my inevitable destruction of any plant i try to cultivate but hey ho!

i'll diarise a possible sickie for next thursday - it would mean missing my weekly 2 hour team breif........ oh the disappointment could be too much to bear!

i wonder how MrsBigD is getting on. My sister flies off to Cambodia today - lucky cow!!!

PC666

ps: I can provide photocopies of Escale menu for a fee..............

Morning everyone, my plans are scuppered today because of a puncture on the pushchair!! Guess it's a staying in day!

2cute - it may be a hockey player thing, but this was back when my dh was a mere teenager so before I knew him. Apparently he'd try everything to flatten it, including wearing a helmet, but it would just spring back up again!!

Paddlechick666 · 28/09/2006 11:03

a puncture on your pushchair?!?!?!

has it got go faster stripes as well

if it has the capability for a puncture shouldn't you have some sort of AA or RAC cover for it?

PC666

pudding77 · 28/09/2006 11:17

I wish pc! It's one of those urban detour things with inflatable tyres which I hate & I hate mothercare for persuading us it was the best one to get

Oh dear, best have another biscuit fix

pudding77 · 28/09/2006 13:10

oh dear, I think I've scared everyone away

fatfox · 28/09/2006 13:58

Puds - I don't scare that easily

Do you have to use a bicycle repair kit on your puncture? We've one of those three wheel over priced fashion victim thingies too and luckily its not punctured in the 6 years we've had it !

Just luck I think.

Nanou1 · 28/09/2006 14:01

Hi guys!
are we still on for tomorrow morning at child play cafe in chiswick?! quokka? shall we meet at 09.30 at acton town station and walk down together? looking forward to seeing you all.

fatfox · 28/09/2006 14:08

Hi Nanou

Everyone sems to have abandoned the general west London thread, so I'm hanging around on here looking like Billy No Mates

pudding77 · 28/09/2006 14:12

I'm still around ff! Yes, it is a bicycle repair kit you use but I'm no good at repairing punctures so have to wait until dh gets home! Well, he needs to feel useful .

And, provided I get the pushchair fixed, then I'm still up for tomorrow

Nanou1 · 28/09/2006 14:13

here .... catch !!!!!

suejoneziscalmernow · 28/09/2006 14:22

Hello Billy

suejoneziscalmernow · 28/09/2006 14:24

only have 5 mins before I go to very important persons board meeting - cos I'm a very important person. In a big fish, small pond kinda way.

Nanou1 · 28/09/2006 14:27

Yo Sue!!! Kick that ball! FF wants to play

quokka · 28/09/2006 15:33

nanou sounds good will see you there .

I got my phil & teds pushchair (really cheap) from a lady who said she got too many punctures in the front tyres - I've never had one in over a year!

fatfox · 28/09/2006 15:37

Yeah - my son thinks I'm very important.

fatfox · 28/09/2006 15:39

I am actually a wimmin's libber; but have to agree that men are better at some jobs in life: Cleaning drains, climbing on roof, unblocking loos and yes, repairing punctures on trendy three wheelers.

Uwila · 28/09/2006 16:28

FF, the people who do dthose jobs do them because they are suckers not because they are better qualified. But, sometime we need to tell them they are better so that they will oblige to fulfill role of sucker. It's the same logic men use when they ask us to change the nappies because we are better at it.

fatfox · 28/09/2006 21:09

Exactly

2Cute · 28/09/2006 21:57

Is anybody still around?

What a day...visited parents in the morning, trecked round Bentall Centre buying birthday gifts, then rushed home to make 2 meals, DS doesn't like Mexican food so made him a vegetable & lentil rice meal....phew, just sat down to check what's happening about tomorrow.

quokka · 29/09/2006 15:53

man I'm knackered! nice to meet you all today, not that I managed to talk to everyone . I've walked to nursery and back home again, then to chiswick and back again home all by 1pm.

pudding77 · 29/09/2006 17:07

Well, I think that earns you a glass of wine quokka .

quokka · 29/09/2006 17:19

good idea, dh has come home early so he can do bath and bed as well

fatfox · 29/09/2006 19:09

Was that place in Chiswick good then?

What's the upper age limit (am thinking maybe I could take DD 3 sometime)?

Hope everyone's well, you sound knackered !

pudding77 · 29/09/2006 19:26

I think its for under 5s ff.

Quokka - when we were talking about Gunnersbury Park earlier, you mentioned a section where you never walk - which bit is it & why? Just I have a feeling that the bit you're talking about is where I come into the park & I always walk there!

Also, trying to persuade dh that we need a new pushchair - can anyone recommend one that's smaller than the urban detour, light & good for riverside walks?
