Sue - I think she was just embarassed!

Uwila · 23/09/2006 12:11

You are quite safe from persuasive powers on the 19th, as I will have to get up at 5:30 on the 20th to go to work, preferrably not with a hangover.

xoxoxo · 23/09/2006 13:11

Oh boo hoo. Our LOs get up at 6am EVERY morning; drugs, threats and bribes notwithstanding.

Uwila · 23/09/2006 16:32

Eh? Wasn't looking for sympathy, just letting Sue know I won't be leading a late night excursion to the pub this time. Spaeking of which, OXO, you weren't exactly unwilling.

fatfox · 25/09/2006 09:18

Uwila, you can sit with me if you like, as I won't be drinking at all

xoxoxo · 25/09/2006 09:33

Oh no - with noone to lead me astray how will I get there?

2Cute · 25/09/2006 14:57

I don't drink any more either so I'll sit with the sober crowd to avoid temptation....lol!

suejoneziscalmernow · 25/09/2006 15:05

I don;t drink much either but if I haven't travelled to KAz by 19th Oct I will be drinking copious quantities of hard liquor.

Uwila · 25/09/2006 15:21

This is going to be a very different experience from the last one.

Nanou1 · 25/09/2006 15:30

Hi guys. quick one to say hi. dont think i will drink either the way i am feeling today.... not feeling great with 2 late nights this weekend and too much champagne!!! busy bee again this week.

suejoneziscalmernow · 25/09/2006 15:31

Oh goody - time for cerebral conversations at last.

suejoneziscalmernow · 25/09/2006 15:36

Ok quokka, I have started knitting again. Done the front of a sweater for Junior over the weekend, had to look up how to cast off [shock}. bought wool and patterns from tiny shop in Sheen.

sfxmum · 25/09/2006 15:46

are we discussing drink? i am avoiding it but can usually be persuaded what is the food like? all reviews i read seem good, personal experience?

bit os a shock apparently my bank wants to downgrade my account, now that i don'e have a steady incomehad not thought about it

Nanou1 · 25/09/2006 16:01

SJ.... you know how to knit??!!!! getting very excited now. will you teach me? does Quokka know knitting too? in exchange i can teach you crochet

pudding77 · 25/09/2006 16:05

Hey Nanou, I'm going to go to a workshop at a shop in Northfields for a knitting lesson if you'd like to join me. Unfortunately, it is the night after Escale so I imagine it will depend on how you feel!!

suejoneziscalmernow · 25/09/2006 16:09

Yes I can knit though I'm no great expert, happy to have a knitting session round my house one afternoon. Maybe Quokka is better than me. Sum total of my efforts in 30 years is one "doctor who" stripey scarf, one big baggy studenty V Neck sweater (with cable knit [impressed emoticon]), one sleeveless cotton top, oh and currently half a baby jumper!

Uwila · 25/09/2006 17:01

Knitting????? Oh lordy. How boring can we be. If I had to sit round knitting it would surely drive me to drink.

suejoneziscalmernow · 25/09/2006 17:04

if you don;t fancy knitting Uwila - can I interest you in a game of bridge

2Cute · 25/09/2006 17:06

We could have a little session after Escale with Quokka & SJ teaching knitting and Nanou crochet. Now THAT would be funny, a table full of women with their knitting needles out!

Uwila · 25/09/2006 17:10

Yeah... I'm sittin' at the bridge table. Yes,Sue, I could be persuaded to learn bridge.

But, if anyone even thinks about mentioning quilting... oh I don't know what I'll do.

suejoneziscalmernow · 25/09/2006 17:11

Don;t all amercians do quilting Uwila? Was relying on you to teach us.

Nanou1 · 25/09/2006 17:13

am... in stitches!!!!!!

Uwila · 25/09/2006 17:16

F*ck NO!!!!!!

Oh, Nanou. That was terrible.

Uwila · 25/09/2006 17:17

Speaking of American, one week and four days until I fly over the pond to the lovely city of chicago!!!!! (note to self: don't use the word lovely after leaving England)

suejoneziscalmernow · 25/09/2006 17:40

didn;t think the French did puns Nanou?
