You are quite safe from persuasive powers on the 19th, as I will have to get up at 5:30 on the 20th to go to work, preferrably not with a hangover.

Oh boo hoo. Our LOs get up at 6am EVERY morning; drugs, threats and bribes notwithstanding.

I don't drink any more either so I'll sit with the sober crowd to avoid temptation....lol!

I don;t drink much either but if I haven't travelled to KAz by 19th Oct I will be drinking copious quantities of hard liquor.

This is going to be a very different experience from the last one.

Ok quokka, I have started knitting again. Done the front of a sweater for Junior over the weekend, had to look up how to cast off [shock}. bought wool and patterns from tiny shop in Sheen.

are we discussing drink? i am avoiding it but can usually be persuaded what is the food like? all reviews i read seem good, personal experience?

bit os a shock apparently my bank wants to downgrade my account, now that i don'e have a steady incomehad not thought about it

Hey Nanou, I'm going to go to a workshop at a shop in Northfields for a knitting lesson if you'd like to join me. Unfortunately, it is the night after Escale so I imagine it will depend on how you feel!!

Yes I can knit though I'm no great expert, happy to have a knitting session round my house one afternoon. Maybe Quokka is better than me. Sum total of my efforts in 30 years is one "doctor who" stripey scarf, one big baggy studenty V Neck sweater (with cable knit [impressed emoticon]), one sleeveless cotton top, oh and currently half a baby jumper!

Knitting????? Oh lordy. How boring can we be. If I had to sit round knitting it would surely drive me to drink.

We could have a little session after Escale with Quokka & SJ teaching knitting and Nanou crochet. Now THAT would be funny, a table full of women with their knitting needles out!
