Yes, I think we are talking Fridays. I am very tired today. Thursdays are a bad idea... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

quokka · 20/10/2006 09:17

Boowila she gets in at 10 so she will call me then and I'll see if she's free. I'm sure my friend said that there were no additional costs, but then again she has more money than sense

quokka · 20/10/2006 09:20

I'm very disappointed at the lack of gossip!!!!!

spooxooky · 20/10/2006 09:21

hi
had written a note, then ds just wiped it out. or emailed to the queen or something while I nipped to the loo... anyway
have left msg to book Brula (in fact, being presumptuous had already done os in case all you pushy office workers had elbowed in). Def a Friday - I'm getting too damn old to have a hangover on a 'working' day. I swear my kids sniff out weakness...

Paddle: did not get to talk about seats. They are free to good home, so why not try them out? Am meeting sj next week for coffee in kew, will bring them and other kids stuff along then (will feel like DelBoy!) if you fancy joining us (open invite to everyone btw).

MrsBeDreadingTrickOrTreat · 20/10/2006 09:21

I'm all for Friday's too

I'm ok for 10 November I guess, as dh isn't having a social life I have to have one for both of us and 1 December for Brula (Address 43 Crown Road, Twickenham, TW1 3EJ, Tel 020 8892 0602) should be ok in my diary as well

oh who was I briefly talking about the cbeebies show to last night? Sorry after g&t's and a glass of wine my memory retention = 0

spooxooky · 20/10/2006 09:22

quokka: sorry, no gossip. On;y backstabbing of non attendees.....

unhallowed · 20/10/2006 09:22

Fizzi-- I found the Lollipop website on Netmums so I won't be needing that. Let me know what time you're going.

quokka · 20/10/2006 09:26

I thought my ears were burning!

MadameMedela · 20/10/2006 09:41

Thanks MrsBigD for organising - had a lovely time. It was nice to catch up/meet all of you. I was thinking on the way home that next time I must get a taxi so I can have a drink. But then I got home and ds1 was stiring for a feed and wanted one every 3 hours so I'm glad I was sober.

Can't do anything in November but might be able to do 1st December. I'll know closer the time.

Boowila - my lovely AuPair (who is wonderful with babies) is free this Saturday and looking for extra work - she charges £6 an hour. She is very good at drawing Princess' so dd1 will be in her element. The only problem is she doesn't drive however, she uses public transport to get to Twickenham every Thursday and Friday so I don't think they'd be a problem as long as she could be sure to get home Saturday night. If you want her number send me a quick text and I'll send it to you. Her name is Lili (in case you can't remember me gushing about her).

pumpkinpud · 20/10/2006 09:53

Morning all, I would have had a quick look on here last night too had my dh not been using the pc when I got home!

Got home v quickly despite slightly dodgy taxi driver - when you asked him to stop he speeded up and managed to clip someone's car door with his mirror!

pumpkinpud · 20/10/2006 09:55

I can do Nov & Dec - not much in my diary !

Thanks for the name badges MrsBigD - unfortunately, the dim lighting combined with my dodgy eyesight meant I couldn't read ones far away so sorry if I had to ask you your name about 5 times!

spooxooky · 20/10/2006 09:57

Hi all: brula is now booked. have set up new thread but don't know how to do link ()

new thread is: Mumsnet Discussions: Meet-ups : W.London CHristmas Dinner: Brula, Twickenham 1st Dec

FiziWhiziLetsGetScary · 20/10/2006 09:57

erm, think 10th nov and 1st dec is fine for me. sad person with no other social life LOL.

Boo thanks for hte lift, was really kind. car seat sounds good to me too.

re: nanny, i rather fear it was me that gave her the virus as i was so ill at the beginning of the week. dd's Tuesday play date also come down with some sore throat and rash thing that i may have to claim repsonsibility for!

oxo, that sounds brill. when are you doing coffee? i'm working mon/weds and off tues/thurs/fri. thurs is dd b'day and fri is dd b'day party prep day so things are busy next week!

hoping no one notices that i am not doing any work this am and maybe i can then get away with not taking half day a/l!

unhallowed, i've texted/emailed you

;-)

Boowila · 20/10/2006 10:00

Madela, I would take you up on that but she'd have to make her own way home as we will be drinking on Saturday night. And, public transport from my house to your involves about 4 buses so I can't imagine wh would want to do that.

scarysuejonez · 20/10/2006 10:00

La la la la la

Morning flowers, morning birds.

I had a lie in this morning, lovely.

La la la la la....

MadameMedela · 20/10/2006 10:05

Yeah just checked out the train/bus times and it's not realistic - thats a shame.

scarysuejonez · 20/10/2006 10:05

Oh and thank you foxiecabs, I'll owe you a lift when you're drinking again and I'm back to being my usual low alcohol dullard.

spooxooky · 20/10/2006 10:05

How can you be so cruel as to gloat to people who are hung over, with sick kids/ puke to clear up?
oooohhhh, just you wait until Junior start belowing at 3am.
Enjoy your lie-in for now. They will be a fond but distant dream soon enough.

MrsBeDreadingTrickOrTreat · 20/10/2006 10:08

SJ oh be quiet you... just you wait till ya have your lo there

and her's the link to west london xmas do at Brula

scarysuejonez · 20/10/2006 10:09

"Enjoy your lie-in for now. They will be a fond but distant dream soon enough."

Exactly! Must gloat now as I won't be able to shortly. A gloat in the hand is worth two in the bush (or something)

unhallowed · 20/10/2006 10:10

Ok, fizi. got your messages. See you there.

spooxooky · 20/10/2006 10:11

that's a poo in the potty is worth two on the floor, surely..

or - for boys: a pee in the hole is worth two on the rim...

Boowila · 20/10/2006 10:11

Because she is mean and scary. It's in her nature.

Boowila · 20/10/2006 10:13

I believe the phrase should be "a gloat in the hand is worth two in return" (that's two from each of us)

Nanou1 · 20/10/2006 14:18

hi everybody. nice to see you all last night. got home by midnight. early night tonight!!
