Moving to Wroughton near Swindon

I am moving to Wroughton next month and am trying to find out what goes on when and where for little ones. I have two sons, one just over 2.5 years and the other is 2 months old.

I am interested in activities to do with either boys during term time. I am also interested in postnatal exercise and meeting other mums in the area.

OK here goes...happy for any of you to come over on Thursday afternoon say from 2.30 onwards. If any of you are interested in second hand clothes then I'll have some available (if you'd like to bring your products too SN4 you're welcome.....But more importantly lets make it a bit of a social for the children !!!! if you email me via the contact page on my website (www.funkymamas.co.uk) then I'll send you directions as I don't want to post them on here !!!!!!!! Hope to see you on thursday and Yes PP I was thinking about going to the London meet up/Christmas party!!!

PP...have just emailed directions to you...so see you tomorrow.....If it's tiddling down with rain can the back up plan be that we meet at Kids Aloud ???? Forecast was rain for this afternoon but still OK here so if it's fine then see you all tomorrow...looking forward to it !!

kids aloud is indoor play place at Blagrove Industrial estate by J14 of M4 at west swindon.

hi Everybody...benn in a meeting until now..hope you received my email earlier today.....We're all meeting at KIDZ ALOUD which is located on the Blagrove industrial estate nr Junc 16 of the M4 today from 2.30 onwards....I (think !!) I'll be wearing dark jeans and a purple V neck 3/4 sleeve jumper...I'll bring some pink & purple funky mama leaflets which I'll pop on the table with me so that you know who I am...really looking forward to meeting you all !

Hiya steppy1, we had a lovely bank holiday weekend. It was ds's first birthday so we had a bbq on Sunday (when the weather stayed nice thankfully), and yesterday we went to the Uffington white Horse show.

Yes, unfortunately it's Monday. I've been into school a few times this week and took James with me. He was very helpful, re-tidying my numeracy cupboard etc etc. Probably spent twice as long as usual in school because of him - bless him!

How are plans for the move coming along?

we've had somebody around today to take on a possible long term company let so fingers crossed that they come back this afternoon and decide that they want it...only down side is that they'll want to be in on 2nd October which means we'll have to pull everything forward...still DS and DD are back at school/pre school next week so I'll just have to get my skates on organising everything !!! and there was me looking forward to a bit of a rest after the school hols too !!!!! Don't forget Funky mamas on 29th September if you're interested too !!!! Good luck for next week !

just having a glass of wine to celebrate back to school tomorrow!! Actually, we had a few days away at the the end so it's come round quite quickly. My little one is starting reception on Tues and looking forward to it( he is in his words 'a bit worried about doing a poo' though! - I think I must have overdone the stern 'you have to do it yourself at big school' chat!

good luck for tomorrow SN4..I know when DS started reception last year I booed like a baby at the school gates...was desperate for him not to see mummy in tears but I just couldn't help it...how different it seems a year on...he seems to be growing up so fast !!!!! Where abouts in swindon are you 1 baby 1 bump ?? Presume you have a little one on the way

Hello 1baby1bump and SAHMof1. Nice to see more swindon mums on here. I used clth nappies until ds grew out of them at 15lb (cotton bottoms) and then I have a few rainbow tot terry towelling ones and motherease which I occassionally use to give ds a break from disposable ones.

Well had my first day with the children today and it went well, only had 3 criers this morning, and they all settled down once mums had gone, hopefully they'll all come in ok tomorrow.

SN4ho, how did your lo get on today?
