As Nanou01 has declared me group leader here's a new thread to try and arrange our next meet-up

Oldies and newbies equally welcome :)Grin

I'm pretty free for the rest of May, bar some dentist appointments

June is very barren so any entry in my social calendar would be most welcome.

Meet without the kids any evening
Meet with the kids only weekends

When and where would whoever like to meet? Grin

exactly two threads Grin one general one and one precise date one for those slow ones who can't keep up with the general thread GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Sorry not a footie fan here but I'm sure somebody else will join you. I know the Harvester at Ealing Common used to have a big TV screen when sports was on. Otherwise no idea, but there are plenty of pubs in Ealing so you should be able to find somewhere

suejonez · 15/06/2006 13:16

I have promised to (wo)man the phones in work until 5.30 so the rest can go off to watch the football so I won;t be there until about 7.30 no footie for me.

Also driving so you'll be hogging the wine MrsBigD

MrsBigD · 15/06/2006 23:20

well there were only 4 of us but I had a good time Grin hope you all got home alright :)

OP posts:
Uwila · 16/06/2006 07:42

Stayed out way too late. You are all responsible for my low productivity at work today. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

MrsBigD · 16/06/2006 08:07

well time flies when ya having fun Grin I hadn't realised how late it had gotten until I had to raise dh because I'd forgotten my housekey!

OP posts:
suejonez · 16/06/2006 08:48

Well I think 4 is a good number for a scared newbie to dip their toe in the RL water.

suejonez · 16/06/2006 08:49

and we wouldn't have stayed out so late if you hadn't perked up when we got to the pram discussions, Uwila.

Uwila · 16/06/2006 09:25

EH? I am NOT interested in any more prams. Funny you say that though because my 3 year old kept talking about the "new baby" this morning. I asked her what new baby, and she said "the one in your tummy". It took some convincing but I think she now understand that there is NO baby in my tummy. And there isn't going to be one either. I told her DS was all she was getting so she'd better be nice to him.

MrsBigD · 16/06/2006 10:04

Grin Uwila, dd did that the other day too... she wants a little sister now to play dolly... told her mama's tummy is kaputt so no more babies :)

SJ , glad we didn't scare you too much Wink

What ho. Nice to see you all last night. Also quite nice to get a lift home! Thanks Sue!
Good restaurant, too (I liked the food, anyway). If I can get a babysitter some evening, I think dh would probably like it since he likes lamb so much.

suejonez · 16/06/2006 12:49

And weren't we all amazed that the waitress got the order right?!

MrsBigD · 16/06/2006 12:58

That's true indeed! If I did that job I'd have a little notepad and pen at the ready.

She deserved the service charge!

OK SHALL WE LOOK AT DATES FOR JULY THEN? Grin

OP posts:
YanksUponThames · 16/06/2006 16:53

But of course. As for my schedule, at some point in late July-early Aug., we're going back to Raleigh for a couple weeks to put in an appearance with the relatives (who haven't been able to see ds in months & months, and you know how grannies & aunties get about that sort of thing). Don't know about exact dates yet; dh needs to get plane tickets thru work and hasn't got himself sorted yet.

YanksUponThames · 16/06/2006 20:39

Hey, I have an inspiration. How about Pizzeria Rustica in Richmond? I'm not necessarily recommending them because I can walk there from my flat, but because I know from personal experience that their pizzas and green salads are decent, the prices are good (especially considering the good quality), and the service seems pretty good too. Apparently they clog up pretty quick on weekends, but I've been there on weekdays without hassle. Does anybody else besides me fancy pizzas/Italian?? I'm up for it, but that's just my personal taste.

MrsBigD · 16/06/2006 21:33

Italian sounds good to me and I can catch the bus to Richmond :) Count me in :) :) :)

OP posts:
suejonez · 19/06/2006 10:59

Dates I can do in July are:

Wednesday 12th (I think)
Wednesday and Thursday 18th & 19th
Thursday 27th

Any good for anyone?

Richmond is fine for me I can catch the tube home.

MrsBigD · 19/06/2006 11:09

I have no social life bar mn so can do all those dates Grin

OP posts:
MrsBigD · 19/06/2006 13:37

suejonez · 20/06/2006 10:33

Hi I'm in Kew too, so is Tutter though I'm not sure if she's going to come to the next meet-up. I'm the odd one with no children who hangs around the fringes looking dodgy.

suejonez · 20/06/2006 10:34

Have you used childcare in Kew? It's my current hang-up - is there such a thing as affordable childcare in Kew?

Uwila · 20/06/2006 10:36

Is there such a thing as affordale childcare in England?
